Is Coleanse a scam?

Is Coleanse a scam?

Detoxing is a buzz word in the weight loss community currently with everyone seemingly trying it at least once to remove those built up toxins and stored waste material.

Of course detoxing can be done naturally by cutting out all the junk food and by drinking lemon water for a couple of days, however there are also products called colon cleansers that have been designed to do the exact same thing.

Coleanse is one such product, but is it recommended or are there better products available on the market?

Benefits of Coleanse

The following benefits are claimed on the Coleanse website:

  • Purify and cleanse yourself naturally
  • Improve your health
  • Smooth digestion
  • Reduce bloating

These claims are what you would expect to see from a colon cleanser, to verify the claims we would need to look at what ingredients are found in this supplement.

Ingredients of Coleanse

Coleanse is made from a proprietary blend of the following ingredients:

Chinese Rhubarb Root, Cascara Sagrada Bark, Bentonite Clay, Cape Aloe, Flax Seeds, Senna, Slippery Elm Bark, Wormwood, Black Cumin Seed, Olive Leaf Extract, Thyme Leaf, Garlic, Organic Cloves and Peppermint Leaf.

It is pleasing to see that these ingredients have been listed as it shows that Coleanse should provide the benefits that it claims to provide.

Price of Coleanse

The main problem with Coleanse is its price.

As it is only available as a 14 day trial you may sign up believing that the only price you have to pay is the cost of the postage ($7.95), however unless you read the terms and conditions you will not realise that once the trial period has ended you will be charged the full price of $74.28.

Signing up for this trial also means that you are signing up for an auto ship program, which means that every month you will be sent a new package along with the hefty bill.

Is Coleanse a scam?

It is easy to see how Coleanse could be called a scam. If you have signed up for the trial without reading the T&Cs then you are going to get a shock when your bank statement arrives.

For this reason alone it is impossible to recommend this product, I would recommend that you look for an alternative product instead.

    • Have you tried calling their customer support??? I am pretty sure they would refund you.
I tried this myself and I lost 3 lbs in 2 months, but I was also working out at the same time. One thing is I feel it gave me more energy to workout.

  3. I also ordered this product, I want to say that my experience actually went pretty well. The product arrived pretty quickly, within 1 week. I tried for for 2 months and could not really tell if it was working or not. The main reason I had ordered it was for weight loss. I did loose some weight (3 lbs in 2 months), but I was working out at the same time. I decided to cancel, but not because I was not happy, just that I felt I could loose more weight by working out.

  4. I received my FREE samPle and was charged 64 euro. Tried emailing but no reply. I reported it as fraud to my bank because I was not notified before they dipped in to my account. Not one bit happy

  5. It’s a huge con, I emailed, phoned regarding that I didn’t want anymore after the trial and yet still billed me nearly £200 for the free trial tablets. Believe me there not free, contacted my bank who have now stopped more payments. And the lovely lady I spoke to at my bank said she has soo many people phoning to do as I am. Spend the money on healthy eating please instead of this con.

  6. This company has defrauded my father and mother who are both in their 80’s. They thought they had a free product for completing a survey instead they are getting boxes of valueless and useless supposed diet pills. They have paid for items to be returned to sender and followed the guidelines to cancel and get a refund. Still no money back. These people are the scum of the earth and if I can find any way to shut them down I will.

  8. This is a scam do not sign up for it. I have tried to cancel the subscription within 14 days via email. You get an automated email back advising you need to call the cancellation number which is open 24/7. When you call the number it’s an automated message saying the number isn’t taking calls right now. I have reported it as fraud to my bank and stopped any future payments.

  9. I just received my “free trial”, and having reviewed this article, I came to realize this would cost a ridiculous amount. So I phoned the number this site provided,1-866-535-1929, and the lady was very helpful when I informed her I wasn’t even interested in cracking the bottle, so she provided me a Return Merchandise number, and an address to send the product to, and she told me I would not be charged for the product. She also told me that if the price was an issue, that she could offer me a 50% cost relief, should have just made that the price, I declined, I have a saying, I would rather make a sale @ $50 profit, than lose the sale @ $100.00 profit. So, unless I get billed later for the product down the road, it went quite well.
