Diet Ultima & Cleanse Ultima scam review

Diet Ultima & Cleanse Ultima scam review

Having come across a fake news report claiming that ex Brookside actress Jennifer Ellison had lost her post baby weight after using a combination of Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima, I thought it best to expose this scam to the general public.

What did the report claim?

In the news report it is claimed that having used the diet products the actress lost 9.5 kgs (over 20 lbs) in just 4 weeks.

There are even quotes from Jennifer herself:

“I seriously couldn’t believe it…I literally lost 9.5kgs in 4 weeks… I about fell over when I saw the scale…”

Jennifer Ellison weight lossNow, if anyone comes across this report and are currently looking to lose a little, or a lot of weight they will seriously consider both Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima as it seems that Jennifer Ellison is endorsing it.

When you are desperate to lose weight you are willing to believe anything you see or hear, particularly if it seems like it makes weight loss easy to achieve.

Unfortunately this is a common tactic used by unscrupulous manufacturers, as we have seen numerous examples of other diet pills advertised in a similar fashion.

If you come across any other examples, and are tempted by what you read, just take a second to think whether the endorsements are true or not.

For example, with a little research you would discover that the real reason behind Jennifer Ellison’s weight loss was through her use of the Cambridge Weight Plan.

Other things you should keep an eye out when viewing these ‘advertorials’ are fake testimonials and comments, which I also found on the news report I came across.

In my opinion you would be best avoiding any diet pill or supplement being advertised in such a manner, as no doubt the ethics of the manufacturer are in question.

Why else should you avoid Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima?

Apart from the use of fake celebrity endorsements, testimonials and comments, there is another reason why you would be best avoiding both Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima.

One of the main issues with the two of them is the price, which although stated as being a ‘free trial’ in reality is nothing of the sort.

Unfortunately both products are auto ship programs that will continue to charge you every month until you cancel, which if you have not read the terms and conditions could potentially result in hundreds of pounds being lost.

Lets look closer at both supplements:

Claimed benefits of Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima

The following claims have been made:

Diet Ultima

  • Block carbs
  • Boost your metabolism
  • Stop hunger
  • Burn stored fat

Cleanse Ultima

  • Natural weight loss
  • Relieve constipation
  • Improve digestion
  • Purify your system
  • Increase energy levels

To verify the claims of both products we would need to look at the ingredients that they have been made from.

Ingredients found in Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima

Although Diet Ultima has listed its ingredients (Raspberry Ketone, Green Coffee Beans, Garcinia Cambogia, Guarana, Citrus Aurantium and White Kidney Bean) there is no mention of the ingredients used within Cleanse Ultima.

Diet & Cleanse UltimaWhat is even more concerning is that there is no mention of the dosages, so how will you be able to tell if the product is effective or not?

Cost of Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima

The cost of the initial 14 day trial of both products, despite previous claims to be free actually costs £4.99, which is to cover the postage and packaging.

Once the trial period has elapsed you will then be charged £87 for Diet Ultima and £67 for Cleanse Ultima.

To make matters worse signing up for the trial allows the manufacturer to continually take monthly payments from your account until you cancel your membership to this auto ship scheme.

These payment terms are hidden away in the T&Cs, which are found at the very bottom of the websites in a small font, in an effort to make it as difficult as possible to discover the true cost of the trial.

          • Hi. I have had the same! £67 debited 19/08. Co-op bank disputes dept advised as the payment had been taken they could not refund but would block the account codes to stop any further payments, only the company could process a refund. I tried to contact the company to cancel & claim a refund, only answer phone from the phone number on the website & no response to my email! Yesterday (less than a week later) I noticed another £67 was claimed at 4am & showing held in my available balance. I contacted my bank immediately to stop the payment & was advised the company had changed their account codes & only disputes could help which are closed until Tuesday. Of course disputes will say the same again as the payment will have left the account & i doubt the monies will be refunded. I noted to the bank that the second £67 was without authorisation, that they were aware, I had acted on their advice to contact the company to cancel in writing & they had said they would stop future payments so does this not fall under fraud? but they couldn’t even stop the payment the same day or help me until Tuesday! BEWARE of the account codes changing, if each code is not flagged with the banks they won’t be stopped as advised! A new debit card would have a different security digit on the reverse therefore they should not be able to take money as it would be different from whats entered to pay the postage for the trial but I see some of you have had difficulty with this. The only solution I see is changing the bank account itself

          • which bank are you in as ive just rang my bank and they said I wont get my money back and ive cancelled my cards they took two payment of £87and two payments of £67 out of my bank !!!

          • viens d’avoir eu la même blague ,merci des renseignements demein vais à ma banque pour annuler ,c’est une belle arnaque leur truc à peu de frais au début

        • I wish to cancel as well thought I was just getting a free sample not paying for them twice a month ….

          • This is a total scam. They took payment of the initial trial and delivered it 15 days later.
On day 15 and 17 after the initial order they took £87 and £67 respectively.
On contacting them they advised because I had not cancelled the trial within 14 days they were at liberty to take the payments.
How could I evaluate the product as I had not even received it?
I have email exchanges with them and they now claim that the £67 and £87 covers the delivery charge of the sample. Given that the sample box fits in your hand and would weigh less than a pound this is the most expensive delivery cost ever and is totally unjustifiable. The reality is that teh initial sample fee is the shipping cost and that the £67 and £87 is the subsequent charge.
The trial period is not appropriate – they give you a months worth of trial product and you are beholden to their delivery protocol.
This is a money making SCAM, the product is not properly labelled and should be shut down by the Health Officias and Police in Holland.

      • Hi Team,

I too have started losing money. I’ve written to support@dietultima.com and support@cleanseultima.com for cancelling my subscription. But no response from the seller.

Am also having recorded evidence of emails, should a legal move be needed.

Have intimated my bank as well and blocked near future transactions

I am not really looking for a refund, but would be glad to have it back.

Can your team help in suggesting the best solution to stop the seller from debiting my accounts in future ?

        Should be useful

        Regards
        Ravi

I was told that you should contact the bank ASAP, so they can send them a cancellation request! The bank has to send this request, otherwise there’s nothing you can do! They have now sent mine and have advised me that should a payment come out, I will be reimbursed. I could also take them to court! I have also sent two cancellation emails. So I will keep you all posted! Fingers crossed, as I am broke as it is!:(

Foolishly I too did not read the small print. My bank would not cancel the horrendous monthly payments as they say it is a “running contract” which requires the agreement of the other party before they can do anything (sounds absurd to me). So I tried to telephone. You just get an Answerphone telling you to email. So I emailed every day for three days. I did finally get an answer. In fact they have behaved very well. The order was stopped immediately, I returned unopened bottles of pills and see today that the payment I made has been refunded into my bank account. I can only suggest you do the same thing.

    • I too fell for this yesterday. I have emailed to cancel but have had no reply. I have also tried phoning the above numbers but there is just a recording asking you to leave a message. I phoned Tesco mastercard this morning to cancel the payments and they said they are only able to cancel further payments after the initial £67 and £87 that will follow in 30 days time. I asked them to cancel my card but they said they will still take the money from the new card?! I don’t understand how. Apparently hundreds of people have been scammed this way and I don’t understand why the banks cannot block it?
      Help anyone?

      • I phoned Tesco Mastercard back as I wasn’t happy with their reply and spoke to a lady who was much more helpful. She said what you have to do is send the trial packs back to them unopened within 14 days (recorded delivery). She has cancelled any future payments although I will probably still have to pay for the free trial. Hundreds have been caught out with this even us normally sensible ones!! I still haven’t managed to get through by phone though 🙁

  11. I have also fell for this scam after purposely looking for any terms and conditions before I signed up. I think its weird how I could not find them back on the 19th June, yet they are at the bottom of the website now. I have told my credit card company to cancel any other transactions from this company and I have sent them an email today to cancel both products. So far I have not received the second shipment of my order. I am annoyed with the cost, but I have actually lost almost 4lbs in less than 3 weeks, so I cant say it truly hasn’t worked, but not worth the stress and cost of it all now! I think I’m more angry at myself for falling for it, I haven’t slept a wink last night because of it. 🙁 I am prepared to cut my losses as long as they don’t take any more payments.

My account has been debited €87 euro and as you can imagine i was horrified. I went to my bank todsy and the only way to stop this is to print out all your correspondence with this company. Ps … You have to email both diet ultima and cleanse ultima seperately. Send these to your bank, in my case my bank has a CHARGE BACK dept and iv git the address to send this to which should also include a short letter explaining how you signed up for a trial pack and didnt agree to a monthly subscription.
Also cancelling tour card isnt going to cancel the monthly payments as they explained to me as that is what i had intended doing firstly.

Hi, I’ve done the same thing but I thought it was legit because I follow Glamour Mag on twitter and they posted an article where someone working for the magazine was claiming they had used it, had fab results and then with the link. However, when I found this website and review saying it was a scam, I checked the magazine’s website and its search engine could find no mention of either of the products. I think this could do with being looked at as they’re clearly stepping up their game in trying to draw people in. I’ve only just received my trial bottle of diet ultima and have immediately send them an email asking for cancellation. Unfortunately, I found this website after I had already opened the box so I don’t know if they’ll accept it for a refund. I really can’t afford any more payments being taken out either, so I’m going to ring the bank tomorrow and see if they can put a notice on or something in case they try.

  27. Hi
I did the same, tried to call and sent emails,
called my bank straight away, but realised there trying to take £87 this morning, my bank said they will be able to refund me after 48 hours, I hope so. Has anyone had any luck cancelling there order? Or getting there money back?

  28. Wish I’d seen these comments before ordering a trial of both Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima. I noticed that £87 was taken from my account and called the bank to see what could be done. They informed me that lots of people have been caught out and there is an on-going fraud investigation with this company. You can’t obtain a return of monies already taken but you can cancel future payments from your bank account. Be sure to ask them to do this for each named item.

I have emailed (yes, the telephone numbers are defunct) and awaiting a response. Does anyone have a contact number for them in the Netherlands?

  29. I haven’t heard back from the company and the guy at my bank said if it is a scam then I won’t hear anything. I rang my bank and they were brilliant – they’ve made it so the company can’t take any money and if they do it will automatically be refunded. They said they’re going to monitor my account as well and make sure nothing is taken and they’re sending me a new debit card just in case. I sent the tablets back (P&P costing more than through the website) and sent an email to cancel just in case.

Christina – my bank says if there isn’t any money in my account then they should be unable to take anything – I’m in the same boat there’s nothing in there lol And I know how you feel – I joined up and then pretty much immediately found this straight afterward.

  33. I had paid the £2.49 p&p and received the trial product then read about the scam.
I then rang Natwest as soon as I was aware on 25-07-14 and explained the situation – they put me through to retail disputes who were very very helpful.
They could see there was a scheduled payment coming out on 28-07.14. They blocked it and said to call them if I notice other payments going out.

Today (06-08-14) I noticed £87.00 left my account on 04-08-14 under the name ‘Diet Ultima Trim’. I immediately rang Natwest back and the money will be refunded to my account before 6pm today. Very helpful.
I asked if they can block future payments from them but she said they can’t. She said they usually stop after a month or so anyway as they find out who it is.

    Hope this was helpful.

If anyone is in the same boat just call your bank – they will help you.

How can people get away with this?! It’s disgusting!! I wonder how many people don’t notice!!

  35. Hi,
I fell for this last week. Signed up forDiet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima free trials through Facebook advert. Contacted my bank HSBC straight away, two payments for£2.49 had been on my credit card. I won’t get these back which is fair enough I had agreed to the p&p charges on the trial. HSBC chargeback department have put a block on further attempts to request money, this is not guaranteed as apparently cleanse/diet Ultima alter the names slightly each time they try. I should however get refunded if any slip through as I have made the bank aware in plenty of time? I have emailed support@dietultima several times in the past few days requesting cancellation I have had no response, I also phoned 02036974624 which runs to a voicemail each time I have left messages all to no response. The trial arrived yesterday delivered by Yodel, maybe I should have refused to accept it but thought I should try to return it myself to make sure. There is no information in it regarding the payments or the trial or my order numbers. A return address on the outside of the box is Postbus 13, 6670AA Zetten, Netherlands. I shall have see if the post office will send it to this address for me. It also says to post through letterbox if possible so they obviously want to make sure you get the trial even if you’re not in to receive it!
I will update with what happens next, good luck all x

My story’s exactly the same as yours, except for I’m with NatWest. The banks know of this scam and have told me precisely what they told you so I’m glad we’ve both added to this forum for others who are in the same situation.

    • I have now posted the trial pack back to Customer Handling, Postbus 6176 4000HD TIEL, Netherlands. This address took a bit of finding! The terms and conditions I found by clicking on a sales advert and there is a tiny link at the bottom of the advert, this address they have said to use under their returns and cancellations terms. It was £3.70 via Royal Mail, not signed for as it is a post box number and “Ultima” have not stated it needs to be returned with a tracked or signed by service. Let’s hope the address exists and I don’t get the package sent back to me again! I also sent another couple of emails to support@dietultima telling them I was returning it and again asking for confirmation of cancellation of my order – I doubt I will hear from them….According to other people on here it is likely I will get charged £87 and £67 sometime in the next week – let’s hope my bank are successful in blocking it.

I’ve been caught out the same as you and have notified my bank (Lloyds) who have said they will stop future payments and advised me to contact Trading Standards 03454 040506. They have advised sending back and e-mailing to cancel. I have emailed support@cleanseultima.com and support@dietultima.com and await reply.

I cant find their website again and on the shipment box it has a return address of :
Postbus 13, 6670AA Zetten, Netherlands. However you say that you’ve sent yours to a different address found on their website ?

How did you get on and can you direct me to the website please.

Now we have to hope we’ve done enough. Funny how I can no longer find the initial advert or the website I ordered through….I so wish I’d seen the site before I went ahead and ordered though, it would have saved me some lost sleep and the £10 for postage etc. So good luck!

I can’t believe I too fell for the scam and then read this website. I have emailed at least 25 times in the last couple of days but of course no-one replies.
I have just come off the phone with Nat West who HAVE heard of this company and their scams and will do everything to ensure your money.is not taken.
I have followed the scammers T&C’s too but it really doesn’t matter as it’s a waste of time trying to cancel anything.
I feel better for talking to NatWest as I’ll have a new card in a couple of days. Also any monies they try to take in a month’s time will be from my current card, which will automatically flash up as unpayable.
Please contact YOUR banks ASAP, they will probably have heard of this scam too and be able to stop any payments being taken.

    • Is there an address for the company?
I was advised by the bank that they could refund charges made to me after I sent a cancellation email. However, all charges before that they are not responsible for. Having spoken to the CAB they informed me that the company have breached their ICAC regulations and therefore breached their contract by not providing a contract detailing the charges. Therefore, we received no 14 day cooling off period. They suggested if the bank would not refund the money then I write to the company, in which case I can take further legal action if they do not respond.
I am just angry at myself that I even fell for this, please comment if you have any success stories for claiming back money down this route.

My saviour is that I paid initially using Barclaycard, so I have called them and as they knew all about the company and the scam they were brilliant and will ensure that no money is taken from account. I asked if I needed to close the account and was advised no that was not necessary. My friend has just done the same with her credit card company. A harsh lesson to be learned…..

Thank you for the request to cancel your subscriptions to the Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima auto ship programs; this has now been done for you.

Please note you are still required to pay for the products you have received after your 14 day trial period. The offer you have signed up for is to try Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima for 14 days before you pay. These are not free or a 30 day trial, it does not say this on our website.
If you do not wish to pay for the products you have received after your 14 day trial period, you must return at least half of the contents to us within 30 days of ordering. This is all in accordance with the terms and conditions on our order pages.

We do however appreciate it’s not always easy to get to a post office and that some people sign up to our offers without actually reading the terms.

We are therefore willing to offer you a 50% discount on the products you have received, meaning you will pay just £43.50 for the month’s supply of Diet Ultima, and £33.50 for the month’s supply of Cleanse Ultima.

If you would like to accept this 50% off and keep your latest order to continue your weight loss program, please respond back by email within 21 days of shipment date to confirm you would like 50% off.

If you would still like to return your order and not pay for it at all, please send it back to the address below and write the RMA number on the outside of the envelope. Please note payment will automatically be taken on day 14 but this will be refunded if you return it between days 14 and 21 days. If you return the product after 21 days, we are not able to offer you a refund or ship the product back to you.

Please make sure you include your name and address inside the envelope so we know who has sent the order back.

    • I too fell for this scam and £87 and then £67 was taken out of my bank account. I contacted my bank and they said to e-mail the company and to wait a few days to see if they replied. They actually replied within a couple of hours with the same letter as Leanne. They also sent another e-mail which basically said I could send them back if there was more than half of the contents left. I packaged them up and sent them back via royal mail which cost £8.90 but which required a signature when they received them back. I tracked the progress and when I knew they had received them back I e-mailed them to ask when I would be receiving a refund – no reply. A few days later I e-mailed them again – no reply. I thought I would just have to put it down to my being stupid and resigned myself to the fact that I had lost £154 + another £8.90 for postage. BUT I have just looked on my credit card account and lo and behold they have just refunded £87 and £67!!! I am shocked and delighted as I really thought I had seen the last of that money. All I can say is keep e-mailing to both Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima and send the products back and also get in touch with your bank to put them in the picture. Good luck and keep persevering.

Also it clearly IS a scam because although they took £87.00 and attempted to take £67.00 I didn’t even receive other products anyway?!! (Even though it would be unwanted). I hope this is the last I have to deal with them now.

  59. OH.MY.GOD. I am absolutely disgusted with them. I ordered this stupid diet thing at the end of July, then read about it being a scam and totally freaked out. I emailed and tried to ring them to cancel everything. I sent about 20 e-mails a day but of course, no reply. After I received the package I sent it back without opening it. I had to cancel my card and get a new one because I knew that they wouldn’t reply in time because they are out to get my money. I did that about a week ago. I opened up my e-mails today and SUPRISE SUPRISE, there’s an email from them! This is what they said.

‘Thanks for your email. I have now cancelled your subscription to the Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima auto ship programs, therefore you will not be sent any more Diet Ultima or Cleanse Ultima or charged for any additional products in the future.

Payment of £87.00 and £67.00 have already been taken for the products you received. This is in accordance to the terms and conditions you agreed to when you placed your order. These stated that you could try our products for 14 days before we took payment for them.

If you did not wish to pay for the products you’ve already received you were required to contact us in the first 14 days to cancel and request a returns number. As you did not contact us in the trial period we assumed you wanted to keep the products and were happy to pay for them.

If you require further assistance, please respond to this email, ensuring the ticket number is left in the subject line.

    Many thanks,

Sticking false advertisement stating a celeb uses it when they have no dealing with it is disgusting.

  65. Hi,

I too fell for this one, still can’t get over the fact their confirmation e mail mentions a ‘free, no risk trial’ surely there must be something can be done legally about it. They took £87 from my account last week and have taken a further £87 from my account today, only a week later. In addition, they have sent no more of the product so is this not theft???

I contacted my bank after the first lot was taken and they said they would refund any future money that this company take, but as this company have just taken all that was left in my account today and I can’t get in touch with the complaints office at the bank until after 9:00 tomorrow morning to to get them to confirm they will refund it, what am I supposed to live on!!

Thinking of contacting BBC Watchdog, see if there is anything that can be done, would also encourage others to do the same, maybe if we all do it something may come of it.

NOW with this 2nd package arriving to-day–along with the Statement from our Bank–they have helped themselves to £2.49 TWICE. Then again—ON the 15th JULY 2014 the Bank statement shows £87.00 taken on the 29/07/14–and again ANOTHER AMMOUNT ON THE ‘4th August’ 2014–£67.00 taken out of our Account–
Being on an Aged Pension & trying to keep healthy–this product gave me some hope of losing those extra pounds which are a hindrance to staying active.
Hope we can post both of those ‘un-opened’ packages can be returned & accepted by these Fraudsters–as we don’t get EXTRA money to throw away. Every penny counts & has to do the work of TWO. ANY Help is gratefully accepted. Mary Barnes

  67. I too have been scammed. You need to cancel any future payments with your bank. I had no joy in emailing them. Trying to find a contact telephone number but no joy as of yet.
Sorry I can not be of further help.

    • I paid 2.49 p&p on 31.7.14 got them on 5.8.14 then when look at my bank on the 14.8.14 I see someone had taken 87.pound using the card again so in 9 days of me getting them they took a another payment which they have taken to early anyway. AND THAT YOU COULD TRY THEM FOR 14 DAY BEFORE THEY TOOK ANY MONEY SO THAY GOT THAT BIT WRONG ANYWAY. ONE BIG SCAM.TO

  68. I ordered the trial on 30th July, straight after I raised that this was a scam I started to e-mail them telling them I had not agreed to the terms and conditions as was already ticked, and to cancel the order.

I got no where I called my bank the next morning to find the £2.49 x 2 was pending. I stopped my card straight away and was told it would stop all payments. I was not happy with just stoping the card so closed my account.

That was closed on 7th I have just returned from holiday to find both pills In one box with just a leaflet in it. I have no idea when it was delivered.

I went to the post office today and sent the box back to the Netherlands (address used from other people above) signed for which cost £9 I count myself lucky that I only had £5 taken from my account.

I recommend you all do the same as long as you have e-mails to prove you contacted them and proof of posting they can’t touch you. Not that they would follow it up anyway as they are braking the law!

  69. only way to stop them close your account open new one so they cant take anymore money because they will .And anyone who has just got the free trial and sent them back they will still charge you so go and open new account.it turns out not to be free trial or 14 day trial from the time you order to the time they take payment is less then 14 days as I have proof from my bank.

  70. yet another fooled by these people. My mum ordered the trial product for me as a surprise and ran today to say they have taken £87 on 12 Aug then another £67 on 18th Aug. my mum is 67 and hard of hearing so doesn’t use the phone and lives 7 miles away from her bank. I wont get a chance to go and help her sort this in the near future, I think its disgusting thses scams get found out and the company can keep doing it. remember to tell your mums, dads, aunts, uncles, all families and friends. My mum also saw this on facebook and it was supposedly endorsed by denise Welch. At least finding this page will reassure her she is not the only one to fall for it. thanks

  72. Saw this promotion on FB last night showing a grossly overweight woman before and progressive pictures. Same con, free trial etc but read terms and conditions. E-mailed them immediately. my computer was a bit slow when I pressed the order button and had to press back button in the end.
Have made it clear I do not want trial or be billed as I am not happy with terms and conditions, will be phoning bank today to inform them about this company. Even if the product woks it is an extortionate price to pay. They also use the ploy that they only have so many units left to make the customer panic buy

  73. I too got both Diet Ultima and Cleanse Ultima on a free trial only paying for P&P, I have just checked my online banking and Diet Ultimo Premium have taken £87 from my account, after reading all your comments I contacted my bank to cancell anymore payments but was also worried that Cleanse Ultima would try and collect money too, however when I tried to block them I was told that as they hadnt tried to collect money yet there was no way to stop them trying, I have called the number 0203 697 4624 and surprise surprise got an automated message asking for my name and account number, I have left a message telling them to contact me within 2 days or I will go to trading standards and the police!! I am also tempted to contact Groupon to let them know of the scam that is going on, fingers crossed that I will get my money back, really infuriated by the whole thing.

How can I get through to them?? I have also tried the numbers but they do not go through to them. 🙁 I need help!

    • Hi megan, You need to cancel your card send back the products and if possible close your account or at least tell your bank that you have been scamed and stop all future payments. After numerous e-mails I got a standard one back saying I could have the products for 50% off when I replied back it bounced back. I have not heard anything from them they would have received the pills on Wednesday.

  75. immediately after signing up and seeing the very tiny print T&C’s I realised it was a scam, I emailed the company straight away with cancellation request but after a few days had no replies. The shipping cost where taken from my bank. after trying to call them and getting silly answer phone messages asking to email my enquiry I found this page and rang my bank. The bank where extremely helpful and knew about the scam, they have assured me that now they have put a request to cancel payments to the companies account, that no further money will be taken from mine. The bank also said that if I notice any money taken from the account to ring them and the bank will reimburse the money. I luckily have only lost out of the shipping fees. If you have also fallen for this scam forget trying to contact the company, ring your bank ASAP. The bank said I don’t need to do anything else now. although I’m wondering what I do with these bottles of tablets?!

I do not know what these payments are for because I have not received any further packages from the company since the trial bottles. the email address does not exist. I have today asked my credit card company to cancel the card and if there is a possibility of me being credited with the payments that they have taken from my account. I called my Bank and put a stop on further payments. I also chose the 1 month option, surprise surprise, I come home tonight to find that another pack has been delivered. Have sent another email to company to advise they are committing fraud-I work for a Bank, they should not be requesting further payments, or sending goods when you have cancelled within the cooling off period. I cannot believe that Facebook is still allowing this Company to advertise on there, when there has now been so much media attention to the fact they are making false claims.

I have come back from my holiday to find that 4 payments amounting to £308 (2 x £87, 2 x £67) have been taken from my account in swift succession. I feel sick to my stomach as usually so careful. Rang my bank who have hopefully blocked any further attempts to take money. I am going to dispute these payments through my bank as I haven’t received any further products only the trial which I have not opened. Not sure what will happen. I have sent a number of emails to support@dietultima.com requesting cancellation of any subscription and requesting an immediate refund, not holding my breath for a reply though! I e-mailed both support@dietultima.com and support@cleanseultima.com. Both responded back overnight to say the subscription had been cancelled, but the e-mail from Diet Ultima quoted all the usual Ts & Cs bumf, but also said that I could have called the following number to cancel at anytime. It’s a US number but it may be worth a go for those of you with concerns +1 212 203 4855. It also says I may return the last shipment (which I haven’t received yet!) for a full refund. The address for this is: Diet Ultima, Postbus 6176, 4000HD TIEL, Netherlands. They are also offering a 50% refund for non return of the goods. I think I will accept the 50% refund. No point fighting with them over the goods that haven’t been delivered and waiting longer for my money back.

  110. Yeah – I too got caught by the so-called free trial that isn’t – this concept that you have to let them know in 14 days or they charge you the £87. Fortunately my bank blocked the second attempt to take money as they were suspicious, but they got my £87.
I’m not a solicitor, but I am quite convinced that, regardless of what it says in the small print, if the headline says free trial, and it turns out it isn’t truly a free trial at all, that would seem to be a breach of the trades descriptions act to me.
I guess it depends on the interpretation of wording – in common usage, free trial means you never have to pay – their interpretation is that you don’t pay initially, but if you like it and keep it, you now have to pay, To me that is not a free trial, but supply on approval. A very different term. I have disputed the £87 with the bank, and magically I got that email, despite having done the successive emails and phone calls to voicemail – just like everybody else. We will see whether the bank accepts this scam company’s explanation or not.

  116. Much to my embarrassment I too fell for this scam and like others had the sums of £87 & £67 taken from my account quickly followed by another debit of the two amounts two days before receiving more pills that I did not want.
Initially I phoned my card account customer service, they were very helpful and were familiar with the scam. I asked them to block the payments which they did. They also said that if the company then try to take more payments which they miss, I will be reimbursed.
I then emailed ultima customer support address with my concerns, telling them I did not want more pills. When they did arrived, I was out so the package was left. I returned the parcel with a letter of complaint asking for a full refund and cancelling any further pills, I sent the parcel by registered/tracked post. It cost me approx. £10. I then emailed ultima again informing them of what I’d done and that if I did not receive some form of communication within 7 days I would be seeking legal advice. I have received a refund of £87 & one of £67. No written or verbal communication, but at least I have half my money back. I accept the loss of the initial payment due to not reading the t&c’s properly (not that the offer made that easy).
The moral of this tale is ” if it looks to good to be true, it probably is too good to be true!.

  125. I too have been had by these companies, however my bank Nat West did refund my money two weeks after I had alerted them to what was going on. I sent for the ‘free trial’ which arrived andI had to sign for. I only realised hey were still debiting my account when I was ill in April this year and knew I could not have spent any money that weekend. On further investigation it came to light that Diet Ultima/Cleanse had been helping themselves to money since the previous October without my knowledge or consent! I went straight to my bank and they put a stop on my account and advised me that they could only refund me up to 120 days the rest would have to be taken up with the companies. No surprise that on emailing them I had no response back. I never received an email alerting me that any ‘order’ had been dispatched and had all but forgotten about them as the products made me feel ill. I would certainly not have knowingly continued usage not only for this reason but as per other reviews you can get the same products locally at much more competitive prices! I had not idea that going for a ;’free trial’ tied me into an ongoing situation and this plus the price were not made clear in the advert. I never received any further product from them which would have allowed me to cancel and they are now claiming that they delivered the product and are trying to reclaim the money back that my bank reimbursed to me! I have just written another detailed letter to my bank and will direct them to this page and other reviews I have found on the web in support of them not taking this step and making me go overdrawn which happened previously when £84.00 was debited from my account. The bank were very helpful and advised me of the trick tactics used by these companies to debit accounts. Perhaps those of you whose banks have not been helpful should change to Nat West!
I will have to see what happens now after I send the bank the letter of response. I shall certainly be contacting trading standards and all other organisations who can assist to stop these charlatans!.
