The rest of your diet should be made up of healthy fats, such as cold-water fish, flaxseed and walnuts etc. These all give the essential Omega 3 essential fatty acid that is essential for your overall health. You should try to avoid or at least limit the amount of hydrogenated oils you use.

Fish is low in fat, and high in protein. As a general rule fish has few calories than meat. You should aim to eat at least 2-3 servings of fish instead of meat.

The cheapest source of nutrition for the body is spinach. It is rich in folic acid, vitamins and minerals. You should use it as often as possible in your diet; it can be prepared in a variety of ways.
