Fit Tea Wraps are a new product that is claimed to help those with weight issues achieve their weight loss goals.
According to their website:
“Fit Tea Wraps are a natural, non-GMO [Genetically Modified Organism] way to improve problem areas.”
This product has even been endorsed by Kylie Jenner, who stated the following on her Instagram account:
“Enjoying my @fitteawraps They’re keeping my tummy toned & lean as it gets closer to summer.”
But this is where the controversy comes in as doctors have claimed that these wraps are unlikely to have any effect on your body.
Doctor Sam Hay, who has appeared on Embarrassing Bodies Down Under had this to say:
“I am flabbergasted that people are stupid enough to believe in this.”
“Fat and cellulite have a very low blood supply, so very little of those ingredients are going to be absorbed through the skin, and even less of it is going to be absorbed into the fat.”
“There’s just no science behind it whatsoever. People are being hoodwinked.”
Sam Hay believes that Kylie Jenner, who has 86 million Instagram followers, should be more responsible with the products she endorses:
“She’s not a health professional but she still has a responsibility to promote something that has an effect. I would argue this has zero effects.”
How can you achieve your weight loss goals?
To achieve your weight loss goals you need to focus your attention on your diet.
Out should go the junk and processed foods, instead you should choose healthier ‘whole’ foods, which are those foods that have been minimally processed.
Examples of these types of food are fresh fruit and vegetables.
The benefit of eating these foods are that they are naturally low in calories, but are filling and contain various nutrients essential for good health.
I would also recommend eating a good source of both protein and fibre.
They are both filling, with the protein essential for muscle repair, while the fibre is good for your digestive health.
What you choose to drink has an impact on your weight too, so it is pretty obvious that you should try to avoid soft drinks and beverages with added sugars.
Even drinks you would think are healthy are best avoided too. For example diet soft drinks, as they contain artificial sweeteners that can cause sugar cravings, and fruit juices that are essentially pure sugar as the fibre has been removed.
While exercise has been shown to be less effective at helping you lose weight than first thought, regular exercise is still important for your overall health.
Therefore it makes sense to workout regularly.
I would recommend not sticking to purely cardio-based workouts, but to also include some weight training too.
Building muscle will help increase your RMR or Resting Metabolic Rate, which means you are able to burn off more calories than normal, even while at rest.
Stress and a lack of sleep can affect your weight too, as they can disrupt the hormones that control your cravings.
I would suggest taking steps to reduce stress and to try and get a minimum of 7 hours of sleep every night.
Removing anything that can disrupt your sleep is a good idea.
Finally, I would suggest looking at using a proven weight loss supplement. One that contains ingredients that are likely to be of benefit.
Personally I would recommend PhenQ, which is a product that comes highly recommended by those who have used it.
Its ingredients are not only effective, but are safe too. With those who have used it experiencing the following benefits:
- Fat burning
- Suppressed appetite
- Fat production stopped
- Better moods
- Boosted energy levels
