Is Garcinia Cambogia Plus from Apex Vitality a scam?

Is Garcinia Cambogia Plus from Apex Vitality a scam?

Garcinia Cambogia Plus is a supplement brought to you by Apex Vitality. It is made unsurprisingly from Garcinia Cambogia and claims to help you “burn fat more quickly and effectively”.

Unfortunately despite its claims there are those who claim that this supplement is a scam. No doubt due to their use of auto-shipping that in the past has been used to scam unsuspecting victims out of their hard earned money.

In this review we are going to look at Garcinia Cambogia Plus in more detail to discover its ingredients, its cost and whether it is indeed, as claimed a scam.

Benefits of Garcinia Cambogia Plus

Garcinia Cambogia Plus have made the following claims on their website:

  • Block fat
  • Build lean muscle
  • Reduce belly fat

These claims certainly sound impressive and should this supplement contain the correct ingredients are achievable. Therefore to verify them we would need to look at what ingredients are found in Garcinia Cambogia Plus.

Ingredients found in Garcinia Cambogia Plus

Although there is no label present there is mention of the fact that this supplement contains the recommended 1000 mg of Garcinia Cambogia with a whopping 75% HCA.

With this information at hand I conclude that using this product alongside a healthy lifestyle will result in weight loss being achieved.

Price of Garcinia Cambogia Plus

Garcinia Cambogia Plus makes the claim that you can “get your free trial bottle today”. However, this is a lie.

In fact you are going to be charged for every aspect of the trial.

To start you have to pay the initial postage costs of $4.99, then 14 days later at the conclusion of the trial you will be charged $64.99. That is unless you have read the T&Cs and have realised that you need to cancel your account within the trial period to avoid this charge.

You will also find that every month thereafter more charges will be made, along with further deliveries.

Unfortunately signing up for this trial offer also means that you are automatically signed up for an auto-ship program.

Is Garcinia Cambogia Plus a scam?

Although the product itself looks excellent the use of auto-shipping is a big turn off.

There are plenty of alternatives that you can buy that are not only cheaper, but can also be purchased without any need to sign up for any auto-ship program.

Contact details for Garcinia Cambogia Plus

It is not immediately clear how to contact Garcinia Cambogia Plus, these details are hidden in the small print (the terms and conditions).

The phone number for contacting Garcinia Cambogia Plus is 1-844-273-9848. There does not seem to be an email address onsite.

If you have tried this supplement please leave a comment below.

The following video could help you get a refund too:

Alternative to Garcinia Cambogia Plus

If you do not want to sign up for an auto-ship program then I would recommend that you take a look at Garcinia Pure, which you can buy online from Evolution Slimming.

This supplement contains the recommended amount of Garcinia Cambogia and is currently available for $62, which is slightly cheaper than Garcinia Cambogia Plus.

        • I called them and told them my doctor requested I get off the product. It was still within the 14 day trial… and they kept telling me the product was 100% natural and was good for keeping up health. After I repeatedly told them that I didn’t want it and that I couldn’t use it, and I didn’t want any more charges on my card for a product I couldn’t use, they put me on hold for a few minutes and proceeded to cancel my account. They gave me cancellation codes. KEEP THESE. As well as the confirmation email. Print it out if you have to. If they keep charging you or sending you product you don’t want, you can bring these statements to your bank and have them refuse the charges.

They are extremely rude and difficult to work with. They will take out as much as they can from you. DO NOT order from them whatsoever! I am SO upset right now, I cannot afford to have them snaking hundreds of dollars out of my bank account WITHOUT. EVEN. TELLING. ME!!

    • This product doesn’t work. Even after having my bank stop payment on the “auto debit”, somehow they managed to work around it and continued to debit my account. I was ill for several months with cancer and cancer treatment so didn’t pay attention. The bags of product kept rolling in. When I called the company, they were only willing to take back two of the nine bags and refund two months. DON’T BUY THIS STUFF… it’s all a big scam!

  2. I was a sucker and went for the “FREE” sample. Received it and have gained 8 lbs in a month, watched my carbs and avoided sugar and starches. Just took the last one and in the mail today came the next bottle I didn’t realize I would receive at almost $80 with S&H. There doesn’t seem to be any information on the outside of the packet so I had to open it to get the account number. Went on line to find out how to stop this and it says if you return it, it must be in the original package, unopened, there is a restocking fee, plus you pay to get it back to them and you still have to pay for the S&H both ways. This is a rip off. The package had to be opened to get the account number and they won’t accept it if it has been opened. DON’T DO IT! Anyone want a free bottle of this crap?

Unfortunately they still have been charging my bank I actually called and complain bout it and there is supposed to be a refund in 5-6 days. I pray it gose tru. They took two different payments and never sent the product that doesn’t work.

  5. I ordered from this site a few weeks ago and had no issues what so ever. But then again, I cancelled my order before my 14 days was up so I never got charged again. it is a free product if you call within the 14 days like it says all over the site before you sign up. People need to stop blaming others for their own mistakes.

  6. STOP!!…Don’t do any business with Apex Vitality. Regardless of how you slice it, there is no free or additional discounts. Even if you return the product within specified time, you’ll end up paying $50-$60, plus the fine print signs you up for a monthly fee and auto ship. This Company is not about quality products or service, it’s about Shipping and Handling and fees…no one reads the fine print, but with this company the fine print will cost you. Returned product per guidelines, talked to the “customer Service” 4 times, what a joke, and still waiting for my credit. Finally disputed with my Credit Card company.

  8. Received my trial bottle and was advised to call and cancel within the 14 days or else be charged $80 something dollars. I sent an email request first and got no response in 5 days. Called the company toll free to cancel. I had to argue with the representative about canceling my order and to not charge me anything in the future. She was very argumentative that she would extend my trial and to call back in 30 days. I was almost yelling at her before she finally agreed to process my cancellation immediately. Reality it was only about a 10 minute phone call, but still aggravating.

  9. Absolutely ridiculous. Charged $74 dollars for Garcinia Cambogia Plus a month after I got the free trial. I didn’t realize I signed up for an indefinite ordering of the stuff. About to call and get a refund or at least cancel whatever is to come. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE.

Highly pissed I called and he kept saying I would get my money back and they will give me 25% off every month.
I went off! After fighting and yelling for 25minutes, he cancelled. I better get my money back.

  12. I’ve been using this stuff for about 4 months now and I called to cancel my subscription because I lost my job and can’t afford this stuff anymore. The representative on the phone didn’t seem to understand the fact that I can’t afford to pay for the stuff anymore and kept on trying to agree to discounted prices. After I got it through her head that i just wanted to cancel she finally agreed and said that i can reactivate my account in the future. The Garcinia did help me lose weight, but the pitfall of this company is their customer service. They’re polite and courteous, but i don’t think they understand english well so phone calls to the customer care centre can be a pain.

If you’re willing to invest in your lifestyle I really do recommend this product… if you’re not willing to actually invest then don’t bother.

And so after trying to tell this person that understands very little English That I want my money back in my account she gave me some reference number but still has not been returned to my account. They will pay one way or the other I don’t like getting ripped off.

She told me that the terms legally holds the customer responsible and she would do me a favor and give the product to me for 19.99 / mo i said i am not a satisfied customer and i do not even want this product. i said you can cancel it and refund me the bank fees from overdrawing my acct by deducting $85 what can you do about this

  17. This is a scam! I ordered the cleanse and Garcinia. I received the cleanse, but never the garcinia. I looked at my bank account and I was charged $64.99. I called to get this cancelled and she said they would send me a bottle of garcinia and restart my trial period and I would need to call back by 26 Mar. I checked my bank account and they charged me $74.98 and $64.99 and I called to cancel today (on 26 Mar) and she kept arguing about refunding me the $64.99. She is the one that told me to call back on this day to keep from getting charged!!! She was really hard to understand too, I had to keep asking her to repeat herself. Eventually, they offered to refund $50 of the $64.99 and by this point I just agreed to be done with them. I will never get suckered into something like this again. Please don’t order from there!

  19. I was shocked to find my account today charged for $64.99 after the website said that the supplements would only cost $4.99 (which they charged twice). I called the 855 area code number first and said I wanted to speak to a supervisor. Then I was placed on hold for about 10 mins before I got fed up. Then an 844 area code number called me back. I spoke to a customer service rep by the name of Joyce (whom had a foreign accent). She asked if I read the Terms & Conditions. I told her there were none on this particular website and that it’s false advertisement. I told her that I wanted my money back. At first she said she could only refund me $32. I said that won’t do because the money ya’ll stole, is for my children to eat! Then she said, how about $50? I said, that’s much better. She said, okay, in 3-5 business days, you should see the money returned to your account. I said, I hope so for your sake or I’ll be back with a lawsuit. I asked for a confirmation number and for the address of the company located in Idaho. I’ll let ya’ll know if I get my money back. I was very stern and very persistent with Joyce. Let’s see what happens. Can ya’ll make a complaint to the BBB??? or tell your bank about this fraud so that they can send a detective to investigate?

The original email I received had a link to Apex Vitality. I tried calling Apex Vitality’s 844-273-9848 phone number and was told that they did not show me in their customer order base. They said I was scammed by another company using their email address. There aren’t any phone numbers on the bottles I received or on the receipt inside the package. I currently have a call into my bank hoping they can stop the charges from going through.

  23. Yes. The products are a scam and so is this company. I have purchased vitamins online before and with trial periods and I have never ever had a problem. This company sent my products. As soon as I received the invoice packaging…something was wrong. Lack of contact information. All contact info. is suppose to be on the shipping invoice. The products are advertised as Max strength…I have the same vitamins from another source and the mg(s) are doubled. This makes this false or incorrect advertisement. Lastly I cancelled my order within the 14 day trial period, took some time through the “sale BS”…but that’s okay sales associate just doing their job. None the less we finally got to giving me my cancellation confirmation numbers and we’re done…WRONG….I have a security set up on my phone in connection with my credit card. My card was used at 2:54 am…by this company or an associate. I immediately called my bank security, who ran a location check point on the previous $4.99 charges and the $75.74 charge…..they actually didn’t link…which means the associates linked to this company has a fraud set up between three states. My card has been shut down and I will get a 100% refund of the money taken out of my account. Now here is even a bigger ISSUE…The authenticity of this webpage on which we are all writing is even questionable…”Why” do you say , well because of the nature of the writing on this page, is still set in a selling tone and the fake organization affiliates mentioned to the right. It seems that with such a professional webpage the person, person(s) or company would know how to spell “Organization”……….Through security investigation who have now been Caught and being turned in to the Federal Trade Commission for Fraud…..BOOM!

  30. I filled out a survey for some pharmacy store from their receipt and was given a free offer. There wasn’t anything that I really wanted so I decided to try the Garcinia Cambogia Plus that was offered. It did claim that I would have to pay the $4.99 shipping charge. I read the 14 day trail, but I ASSUMED that since I had a survery promotion that it would be paid for from the offerer. And that my obligation for this promotion was to make sure that I cancelled before the 30 days for the automatic shipment kicked in before charging my account, if I didn’t want to continue. Boy what a mistake filling in the survey. Won’t do that again. I am old enough to know that NOTHING IS FREE. I just can’t believe how many liars and cheats are coming out thru on line sites.

AFTER I CALLED TO CANCEL THIS PRODUCT & SHIPMENTS A FEW MINUTES AGO, I CALLED MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY TO INFORM THEM WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH APEX VITALITY. I DISPUTED THE CHARGES AND ANY OTHER CHARGES THAT MAY APPEAR FROM APEX VITALITY IN THE FUTURE. THE APEX CUSTOMER REP SPOKE VERY LITTLE ENGLISH, BUT SAID I WILL BE REFUNDED $74.98 TWICE. MY CREDIT CARD IS GIVING ME 6 PERMANENT REFUNDS FOR THESE FRAUDULENT CHARGES. IF AND WHEN I RECEIVE THE CREDIT FROM APEX, MY CREDIT CARD WILL GET THEIR CREDIT BACK. I’M OK WITH THAT.

AGAIN, PLEASE DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. SCAM!! SCAM!!! SCAM!!! RIPOFF!!

    • Hi Nina,

We apologize about the poor experience however we would like to let you know when a customer calls in to cancel their account, that means their account is deactivated and there should be no further charges or shipments. If you were somehow billed that means the agent assisting you did not properly cancel your account. A cancellation e-mail should also have been sent to the e-mail you provided, if done properly.

We apologize that the agent did not do their job properly and we will ensure to relay this to agents so they know that they have to do their due diligence.

      Thank you

  34. Yes it happened to me. I was offered this product as a gift for filling out a survey you have to pick two offers in order to receive a $100.00 visa gift card and a 100.00 Walmart gift card. So I picked the two item offers all I had to pay was the shipping $4.95 There was no terms I did not agree to a trial and cancel in 14 days. They charged my account $89.88 twice before the 14 days was expired. They tried to take money out of my account four other times. I had to take all my money out of the bank and close my account. I never received the Walmart gift card. Si if it is a trail you have to open it and try it. If you don’t like it you have to send it back? But they won’t take it back if you opened it. So why is it a trail? I don’t understand. I am ready to go postal

    • Hi Wendy,

We apologize about this and would like to clarify things. First off we work with third party affiliate marketers who promote our products. The Visa gift card promotion is through this third party and NOT through us. If you want your gift card, you need to get in touch with the site that you did the survey with.

As for the the 14-day trial, we bill customer 14 days from when they signed up. If you were billed before the 14 days please call into our customer service so we can resolve this.

  36. YES, THIS IS A SCAM! Advertised as Free trial, with 4.99 for shipping. Not so! First I was charged $4.99, then $24.99, then $64.99. The fine print says if you don’t cancel within 14 days they’ll charge you $24.99, then send you more and charge you $64.99. Just try to get a refund from these guys. I was going for the free $100 Aldi’s card so I stupidly signed up for this. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. It’s a RIP OFF

  37. Total rip. They got me thru a phishing scam where I was promised something like $75 in coupons and vouchers for free stuff and discounts and all I got was these ‘free’ pills. I ordered one bottle but got double-charged the same day, and received a bottle of some other Apex product that I never ordered. I emailed them telling them I’d report it as fraud to my bank if they didn’t refund my money immediately and said I had to cancel my subscription. Well they charged me another $65 two weeks later, then another $75 and they sent another bottle of the original stuff. So I finally got around to reporting it as fraud to my band, I got my money back but of course they had to cancel my card. So it was somewhat of a pain but hey I got three bottles of their shi* for free. Who got over on who? HAHA.

  39. The customer service number that worked for me is 8556534112. Cancel after 1 week of receiving your product and call your bank to flag the vendor and this should help from reoccurring charges but you need to be vigilent. Hopped this help y’all

  40. Looking for a phone number that actually works, need to cancel my order. Letting your company know that my account has been closed and that my lawyer will be writing to your company. Your company has put me on a financial bind, with all these charges from your company. All my bills had been returned due to insufficient funds. I hope you are happy with that. My lawyer will be sending out papers to your Utah address.
CANCEL MY ORDER, & REFUND MY MONEY…

      • How do you get in contact with them because I called that number and it doesn’t work

        • At the time of writing the review that was the number listed on their website.

If you are unable to contact them I would suggest speaking to your bank. At the very least they should be able to stop any further payments being made.

  45. I just happened to stumble across this website and I noticed a lot of angry comments which led me to contact Apex Vitality once more to verify that my cancellation has been active. I ordered the free trial and they made me pay the S&H price of $4.99. I called and cancelled immediately once I further researched which was backwards I know. However, the comments made me worry so I cancelled. Not only did I cancel once, I called back about an hour later and made sure my account was cancelled twice !! The second representative that I received assured me that I was cancelled in their system ! Well…right now as we speak, I just called again and the 3rd rep said that I was still in their system and that my acct was still active !!! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDY ME !!! Well she said that she can guarantee me that ” this time ” it has been cancelled out! Her name was Ross ! After the call I received a confirmation email saying that the account has been cancelled, along with a cancellation confirmation number ! At least I will have this information and email JUST IN CASE I WILL HAVE TO DRAW UP A LAW SUIT !!! MAKE SURE YOU GUYS RECEIVE THE EMAIL AND RECORD YOUR CANCELLATION NUMBER ! THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER IS – 1-844-273-9848 I HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL.

  46. It was super easy to cancel mine. I simpy called them (within the time frame) and told them to cancel as i was pregnant and could not take it. There were no hassles, no charges, no problems. I am now only on my first day taking the product and will be taking a probiotic at night as well as i read that helps too. So, my question is regardless of the autoship scam and charges etc…has the prduct actually worked for any of you?

    • What difference does it make if it works or not. Would you actually pay that kind of money to do business with con men?
I told this rep that I didn’t care if this was the best product in the universe. I would never buy it again.
The price was ridiculous and their business practices unconscionable.

  47. Hey giys i saw all of these bad reviews on this product and i must say it really sucks . however in my case what i did was actually out smart these bastards as i do to all lol. I made an order for the 4.99 and procedded to have them mail me over the free trial pills and wht not . however #1 i placed my order using a PRePaID card , you know one of those cards you get from the 7eleven . simply deposit the money you are going to use and thats it , so anyways i proceeded to use aforementioned card made my payment of the 4.99 and as soon as it went through i ripped up the card and cancelled it . i mean its commen sense they cant charge you any more than what u agree to if you are using a prepaid card even if you don’t cancel your prepaid card (rush card, ace cash express card . etc ) they cant contiue charging a card that is at a 0$ balance and has no credit available to put you into the negatives. Im one of those people that have a bank acct soley for savings acct purposes so meaning i dont even ask for checks or debit cars for the acct. When i make a payment for a free trial offer or any internet purchases i ALWAYS use a prepaid net spend card since it is still considered a debit card with a Visa, Mastercard logo on it it works just fine and my money is still safe in my bank untouched and unharmed so they would never be able to scam people like me because the card that i use only allows payments to be charged to the card of you have previously deposited that amount , the card simply gets declined in their every attempt and they move on to their next Victim. Good Luck fellow wieght watchers hope this helped!
P.S. The PRODUCT IN ITSELF FOR ME WORKED GENIUSLY! LOSS WIEGHT POPPED ALOT AND FELT REFRESHED AND CLEANSED WITH THE DETOX CLEANSE PILLS. TRY IT MY WAY AND YOULL BE SURE TO THANK ME LATER :)! CONTACT ME : marycosme23@gmail.com

  51. DO NOT MESS WITH THIS-
I’ve never heard of this thing in my entire life and they hacked into my checking account.
They made small transactions through out the month so I wouldn’t notice, then tried to hit me with the $64.99 charge and my bank stopped it.

Thanks to you, now I have to get a new debit card and stop my account.

    Assholes.
