Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast trial review

Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast trial review

If you are struggling to lose weight then no doubt you have heard about the fat burning abilities of Garcinia Cambogia.

No wonder sales of supplements containing this ingredient are increasing daily.

Unfortunately, not everyone is going to be happy with their purchase as some supplements are being offered as a trial that will inevitably lead onto an auto ship program.

Auto shipping is a common online scam where you will be enticed into signing up for a seemingly inexpensive trial, however hidden away in the terms and conditions it will state that you will also receive monthly packages along with a hefty charge.

Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast is available on a trial, but does that automatically mean that it is a scam?

Lets look at this supplement in more detail, its ingredients and cost before we come to our conclusion.

Claims made by Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast

The following claims have been made on the Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast website:

  • Stop fat from being made
  • Suppress your appetite
  • Increase serotonin levels, stop emotional eating

If Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast contains the correct amount of Garcinia Cambogia then these claims could be true, especially if used alongside a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Ingredients of Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast

Although claiming to contain 60% HCA (Hydroxycitric Acid), being 100% natural and that the recommended dosage before meals is 1000 mg of Garcinia Cambogia, there is no mention of what its dosages are.

We can assume this means that Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast contains the recommended amount of the beneficial ingredient but it would be nice for it to be shown.

Only then would we truly know if this supplement can aid you weight loss efforts.

Price of Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast

The cost of the initial 14 day trial is a little confusing as there is no mention of it on the homepage of the website.

Hidden away in the terms and conditions will reveal that postage will be between $0.99 and $5.99.

If you fail to cancel the trial within 14 days of your initial order you will then be charged an unbelievable $87.63, with further monthly charges until your membership to the auto ship scheme is cancelled.

Is Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast recommended?

Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast is not recommended as the cost is too high, there are plenty of more cost effective options that wont involve having to sign up for an auto shipping program.

Alternative to Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast

Garcinia Pure is a more cost effective Garcinia Cambogia supplement than Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast.

This supplement contains 1000 mg (60% HCA) of the fat burning ingredient per capsule, yet costs just $62 for a months supply. You can buy this supplement without having to worry about signing up for an auto ship program.

  1. Wish I could have read this blog before. It is all true. I tried to get a refund but they said I ordered the “free” trial which costs $87.63 if I don’t cancel it within 14 days of a trial period.
I asked why their terms and conditions say that usual consumers see a difference in three months of using the products and they only give a 14 day trial. The agent said we give you 14 days to see if you don’t have an allergic reaction. They also don’t count the days it takes the product to get to you.

    • So true I just ran into the same problem. I emailed the Dr. Oz show, since this product used his name on their website. I am also contacting the media because this is a total scam!

    • Oh Boy! I have that sinking feeling. I am trying to contact the support for garciniacambogiaslimfast.com, I have spun around in circles, waited on the phone for more time than I like to, contacted my bank and still do not have a cancellation reference number.
I am still within the 14 day trial period and I certainly do not expect to be billed $87.95 for what was to be free. My bank reassured me that they would help me if in fact garciniacambogina tries to debit my account for the $87.95, My next step is to contact my lawyer with Legal Shield and have them take over. What else to do.?

I DID NOT READ ALL THE SAMLL PRINT CONNECTED WITH THE ADD BECAUSE IT INDICATED YOU ARE ORDERING A TRIAL SIZE FOR THE SMALL AMT OF MONEY. I DID NOT READ ALL THE OTHER INY PRINT UNTIL AFTER I SAW THE CHARGE ON MY CARD OF 79.00
THEY DEDUCTED THE MONEY 79.00 FROM MY ACCT AT 1 AM THIS MORNING.
THIS IS REALLY A VERY MISLEADING AD ON THE WEBSITE & I AM CONTACTING OUR BETTER BUSINMESS BUREAU. I AM RETURNING THE UNOPENED BOTTLES & SPOKE WITH A LADY WHO ASSURED ME AS SOON AS IT WAS RECEIVED MY MONIES WOULD BE RETURNED TO MY ACCOUNT.
PLEASE BE CERTAIN U FULLY UNDERSTAND ALL THIS BEFORE YOU SIGN UP FOR THIS. IT IS IS VERY MISLEADING!!!!!

      • The exact same thing happen to me today. On 2-26-2015 at 1am the purchase was manually keyed in by the company. I was charged 79.64 and was told by my Bank to contact Them and Cancel and request refund. Bank informed me this is how these companies make there money. I didnt read any information about full price being charged later. I read all details on site. When i received the package i wondered Why i had so many pills for 14 day trial. Now i know Why. The 14 days is the canellation period that wasnt mentioned originally. Totally mislead. They would get more repeat business If they were honest and Up front. Now i wonder If i have the real thing.

    • I fell for this..off a Facebook ad! How could I be so stupid! Got the run around from them too,but my bank says even if i dispute it,they’ll just say I knew about the trial and later charges, and if they refuse I lose all my money…$160!. I raised holy hell with them and they claimed to offer me a 50% refund,so we will see. If it doesn’t come through,I guess I’ll still have to dispute it.

      • I also fell for this scam I was charged $5.98 and $4.98 right away 2 days after I received my bottles I was charged another almost $180.00 when I tried to call the hung up on me twice. I never received any bottles except for the free ones

    • Yes, this is a total scam. I decided not to continue with the “Free trial”. They told me I had to call by a certain date to cancel. I called then I have to pay shipping to send the partial bottle back!!! So the free trial is going to cost me about fifty dollars. Dr. Oz should be ashamed of himself!!!

  4. DO NOT ORDER Garcinia Cambogia Slim Fast free trial, They send you an entire bottle for the offered $4.95 shipping charge. Then charge you for the rest at $87. Then you wind up on an automatic delivery system and get charged another $87. Once they ship and bill you there is no recourse. If you happen to catch it within 30 days you might get a little help. They finally gave me a 25% refund on the roughly $180. This is a shoddy way to do business. And the best part is, the product does not work. That’s probably why the have a not return policy. If you have confidence in your product you don’t to cheat people out of their money.
READ THE FINE PRINT (IF YOU CAN). I have never seen so many things hidden in small text.

  5. Don’t Order this product using the free trial, unless you read ALL fine print first. You will be charged the 87.63. I tried to get a refund and return an unopened shipment on the day I received it but they said it is against policy.

Don’t order it doesn’t work and there are better things on the market.

  6. I got caught TWICE with this fraudulent marketing gimmick. I don’t know if the product works or not; the marketing makes it seem like a miracle pill, but the shady way they rope you into a 3 month sale makes me suspect the entire thing. If they were straight up, “this is how much it will cost you right now”, I’d have a bit of faith in it. Instead, I believe the product to be a scam. I was seduced into ordering their “Free Trial” last year, and immediately got hit with a bill for about $100, which turned out to be the “free trial’ PLUS another 2 months supply. I cancelled that order, and forgot about it. Wish I had remembered, because this morning I got sucked in again, and ordered the ad with giant $28.99 on it. The ad says “3 months”, with “BIG SALE” on the ad, so you think you’re getting a 3 month supply for $28.99. Or perhaps $28.99 per month. Immediately the bill comes in for $149.99. I cancelled again. Its a racket.

  9. I went for a “free trial”, too, and ended up returning the product. It cost me nearly a tenner in all, but it was better than paying the £60-odd for the product. It’s not a free trial if you are not allowed to trial the product. Simple. The so-called “free trial” is a scam, and you should be aware. They get your credit-card or debit-card details and, unless you act quickly and ask your bank to block any further payments, they can take the full amount if you don’t return the product in 14 days. The one I got it from was slimgarciniapremium.com. I’ve just tried to get to its website and am given an error message. Seems they’ve “moved on”. So be wary; don’t part with money. Buy your garcinia from someone reputable.

    • I was caught by this too! For anyone who thinks that cancelling their card will do it – beware. The bank says that if you get a new card issued it doesn’t help. The scam needs to be reported to your bank’s fraud department then the bank will block the payments itself. A new card will still allow them to take the money. Good luck.

  10. I’ve had a similar experience. My bank actually told me they’d had customers complaining about these same people and the lady had a knowing smile in her voice as she spoke to me! Ha-ha, we’ve come across these people before, type of thing. The web address for the one I got mine from was the same as the one above. Might be an idea for those reading this to propagate this, because in the end we might save a few people from getting scammed something rotten.

  11. I too ordered the garcinia Cambodia and the fat burn pills. I told them on the phone that I did not want auto ship and to be billed for more, but sure enough when the pills came in there was a card saying that I would receive more and be billed. I called my credit card company and they blocked them from billing me and also reversed the original charges for the first order. Very nice of them.

I took the pills for 3 weeks and now my breasts are so small. I did not loose any weight but somehow they affected my breasts. I am going to the doctor tomorrow because it has been 3 weeks since I stopped taking these pills and my breasts have not returned to normal. It’s like they’ve lost their muscle mass. Has anyone else had this problem?? I’m so upset. Definitely do not buy these pills. It’s not worth it. They are not safe.

    • I was deceived as well! I ordered the free trial but then got confused after I kept getting more of the pills without any action on my part! I I finally had my mom call customer service and then I found out I was automatically charged $89.95 every month! I got charged three times for it! And this is what the lady, who rudely talked over me and refused to accept that I wanted to cancel, kindly did: refunded me $22. She told me to call by 6/24/15 to cancel and make sure it wasn’t shipped again so I call this morning, 6/24/15, to find out I was charged anyway because I have to call before that date! Why didn’t they say anything the first time?! And then she told me I didn’t use it correctly and that’s why I didn’t see results. I told her I wanted it cancelled because as a college student, I can’t afford that kind of ridiculous purchase! She said ok I’ll I’ll give you a special price for this shipment, refund of $23 which I have yet to receive confirmation of, and 2 months free. However I will be calling tomorrow to cancel and contacting my back to refuse any more charges by this company. Can someone help me with how to do that I’ve never been scammed like this? I haven’t even opened one of the bottles yet I bet the rude people won’t let me return it. They won’t even listen to me talk! So in total, I’ve I’ve been cheated out of $300 and feel so embarrassed and mad at myself for being to naive. Is there any way to fight these people and report them for liable or wrongful advertising or failing to inform customers? I want to sue these people for what they’ve done to me and all of the others who have been cheated!

  12. I too fell for this deceiving business practice. When I received the product I dated on my calendar 10 days to cancel the trial & auto ship ( more than enough time to safely cancel without being charged ). Of course I didn’t know realize that they were counting the 14 days from the day I ordered it…… NOT THE DAY I RECEIVED IN THE MAIL……reducing my trial of the product to 6 days. As you would guess I was one day late from cancelling the trial. I actually had tried calling them the day before but was forever on hold and because I thought I had time, I waited to call again the next day. After reading the other posts here they probably would have never picked up my call. I’m thinking maybe they screen the calls so as no one would be able to cancel before the end of the trial period. I wish there was something legal someone could do to these scammers…they are stealing alot of money!

  13. I got scammed by this too. Tried to call them and quote them on their terms and agreements saying I am entitled to a refund if I am not 100% satisfied. They claim those terms do not apply if you start with the trial. Apparently until you even cancel the whole thing is a trial. Not to mention the customer service representative was rude from the moment she answered, talked over me, and called me a lier multiple times. I am trying to contact consumer protection agencies and do something about this for everyone scammed by them. I AM WRITING TO CT STATE SENATOR RICHARD BLUMENTHAL FOR HELP. I RECOMMEND EVERYONE DOES THE SAME WRITE TO A SENATOR THAT IS ON THE COMMITTEE FOR CONSUMER PROTECT AND WE CAN ALL GET A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM.

  14. I too was taken in by this immoral practice, preying on innocent, trusting people. In my case, it was a so called 28 day free trial incurring just $9.95 postage and handling charges. However the goods took that long to arrive by which time the amount of $100.63 Australian had been taken from my visa account. I emailed the company and was told refunds had to be dealt with over the phone but my monthly order (of which I had no knowledge) would be cancelled. I rang the UK number and was told I would be given a 30% refund because of “their good customer service”. I told the guy on the phone, an American by the sound of his accent, this was not acceptable and I would go public and expected a full refund. However I received an email the next day, informing me that this princely sum had been refunded to my account. I will never ever fall for any “free trials” again and hope this despicable company can be brought to task and shut down!!!

  19. I just ordered my “free” trial in May. Then just today I received my bank statement. I was so mad! I had a $79.94 charge on my account! I immediately called the company and all the representative said was that I had to check the box to accept these terms! WHAT TERMS? I don’t even remember seeing that. What a rip off!!!! But I threw back to him that there is a money back guarantee. But then he tells me that it is only valid during the 14 day trial. But the trial period is free right? Doesn’t make any sense!

  21. Same folks. Different name. I looked for just such a review as this. I paid $4.95 which they said was a free trial for the first 30 days. I based this on the reviews I saw on Dr. Oz and the Prevention Magazine that said you could get it for a $4.95 free trial. I ordered on 6/20; they charged me on 6/23 and I got the product probably about 06/25. Of course my free trial started from the order date. They charged me $87.53 and said that it was a “free trial” if I cancelled within the first two weeks, otherwise, I had agreed to pay for the initial 30 day supply. No where on their terms and conditions does it say the charge will be $87.53 and in fact it says I agree to pay $_ + shipping for future orders. And of course, I haven’t been able to see if it works because it has only been a few weeks.

HOW ARE THEY GETTING AWAY WITH THIS????

I”m embarrassed to admit that I was stupid enough to fall for it. I am now out $20 because I had to pay to return it to them so I wouldn’t get charged $40 for keeping it. So basically I paid $20 for absolutely nothing!!

  37. It’s a total scam! I wish I had read this before I ordered it while on pain meds from a leg surgery. I was afraid of gaining too much weight because of inactivity. I read the emails I received and I checked for extra paperwork when the package came and I saw nothing indicating that I needed to cancel. And yes it seemed to go to be true until I saw my credit card statement. I called the bank and the woman was excellent however she was not shocked. She told me what to fight for. I called the company and after arguing for 15 minutes I asked to speak to a supervisor, they eventually hung up in me while I was waiting. I called back and got a horribly rude woman who I asked to speak with a supervisor again. She refused and told me they were busy and I argued with this woman for sometime and said you are paid hourly so you can hold the phone with me while I wait. She refused she continued to blame me starting that I ordered the product and that they didn’t make me do it. I told her that I did not approve the transactions nor did I get any paperwork or emails about the transactions. They offered me a 25% refund and a $100.00 reward voucher which I declined and continued to fight for a refund. Finally after 45 minutes of arguing with this horribly rude woman I received a 150.00 refund towards my 200.00 charge. Not a complete win but I got some of my money back. I requested a email proving that I cancelled my subscription and with the refund amount as my bank instructed. This way I can dispute any other charges if they appear.

Fight back for your money! Don’t let them get your money. Good luck!

  38. Ordered sample at shipping costs. Did NOT read fine print. Found out I should not take due to heart attack (Heart attack partially caused by obesity, so I thought I was being good to myself.) Got a 2nd shipment. Took it straight to post office and shipped with tracking number and notification of receipt. Looked at VISA bill. Out hundreds of dollars on 4 bottles (GC and Detox combo). Could have purchased at vitamin store for pennies by comparison. Called company. Told them tracking number and that it had be rec’d by them 2 months ago w/ no refund. Woman said, “Please hold,” and left me on hold for over 15 minutes. Hung up. Called back. Got v-mail. Said I would report their fraud to the BBB, USPS, and every fraud reporting site I could find on the internet. Checked VISA again. They returned $ to my account – about half of what they billed me for. Will call again. I am disabled. This is exhausting. Don’t know why the government doesn’t get involved in these scams. Think we should ALL get back 3 times our damages just to teach these leaches a lesson. My car is 20 yrs. old. Wonder what their bosses are driving. I have limited funds and try to do things that will keep me healthy (60 yrs old), and they take advantage of my age, my disability and my need for better health with lies, deceit, overpriced items and the WORST customer service I have EVER rec’d from any company. I responded to FREE Trial Offers – of course, I had to pay shipping & handling – $6.95 EACH – but hey, I was desperate to begin losing FAT!

Well, I should have known better. I keep a close eye on my charge card & today (2 wks after I received my FREE trial offer) two charges appeared on my card – $78 & $79!!!! I of course called the 800 number and after nearly 20 minutes spoke with someone who said I had agreed to this charge!! Apparently, somewhere in the fine print, you agree to let them send you more than a 2 week supply and also that you will notify them if you do not wish to continue taking. The first lady finally agreed to knock $30 of of each. I told her that was not enough and after speaking with the next person up, got another $10 each knocked off. All that said, this has been a very expensive lesson for me and I told both ladies that I would share this story on facebook and anywhere else people might listen.

So bottom line is all I lost was $91 and I will never try another online FREE offer again. please feel free to share if it will help someone else to not lose $$

I have NEVER been spoken to like this from a customer serv rep and when I asked to speak with a manager I was put back on hold and finally transferred to voicemail. 46. I feel SO SICK now. I ordered the trial like a dumb ass. I’m going to call my bank in the morning, just hoping I don’t get charged tonight. I hope my bank will help! Emailed the company, but we will see if I get results from them.

    • I just ordered today and minutes after i read the fine print on my laptop because it did not display it on my phone, i called them and they said i had to wait to cancel so i called my bank and they suggested me to cancel my current card and get a new one so they don’t have a way to charge me and to keep calling insisting for them to cancel my subscription and refund me the shipping cost since the product hasnt even shipped . after the 4th call they finally cancelled my subscriptiion and refunded me my money for the shipping since i dont even want to try the item. persistence! if this is happening to you too , keep calling until you get your money because this is so unfair such a scam!!

  48. They got me too! I was thoroughly disgusted and my husband hit the roof! I contacted the company (with no help), canceled the debit card they used, and filed a dispute with my bank. This is unacceptable. This is why folks are more and more wanting to deal in cash because of scam artists like this. I filed also a report of “Ripoff report”. Maybe if we all do this we can get after these pieces of scum!!!

  52. Well you can add me to the scam list…… I only signed up for the FREE trial.
I ordered on 5/31/15 but didnt get the product until 6/10/15 and them on 6/16/15 I noticed a bank charge of 79.50. Called my bank and said not my charge as there was not name attached just a phone number. So they cancelled my card and issued me a new one [have to wait 7-10 days to get it] and then later I found our who they were and called them.. Same story you see above. They same it is”clearly’ printed in their terms and conditions right next to the “submit” key. Sorry but I NEVER saw anywhere that I agreed to be charged 79.50 after me trying it for 14 days from date of ORDER. When I spoke with them it was yada yada yada.. its clearlly stated…yada yada yada.. I’ll give you a 50% refund..yada yada yada.. I said NO I’m not paying it. I had disputed with the bank as not being authorized by me.. I printed out my confirmation page showing “$0” dollars for the product and I was charged for the shipping. PLEASE PASS IT ALONG THIS IS A RIP OFF THEY ARE ON THE RIP OFF REPORT. WISH WE COULD GET A CLASS ACTION SUIT AGAINST THEM ANY LAWYERS OUT THERE UO FOR THAT…

  53. I just received my free trail in the mail today. After reading all the above messages I called got my RMA numbers to return the product. I received cancellation confirmation emails while we were talking and was not harassed by the customer service person. To be on the safe side I will get a new card tomorrow.

  55. They did the same thing to me. I just saw my credit card statement where they charged me almost $160 for the garcinia cambogia slim and the puredetox after only 2 weeks. I explained it was a free 30 trial and she said WE DON’T GIVE PRODUCTS OUT FOR FREE! True they don’t, they scam people instead. They will not reimburse you! They are scammers. I’m out $160 for products that did absolutely nothing for me.

  56. i also fell victim to this scumbag scam! I stupidly ordered the “Free sample- just pay shipping & handling” in March. Since then these criminals have robbed my bank account out of $909.79!!! I called them only to be put on hold for what seemed like FOREVER- only to be told that I didn’t read the fine print! I have 6 bottles that are still sealed- NEVER opened- still- NO REFUND…This is completely unacceptable! I work damn hard for my money, and don’t take kindly to Bottom Feeders like these people who blatantly STEAL YOUR MONEY!!! They have NO morals, and are totally unethical, and should be behind bars! After reading hundreds of complaints for the exact same issue- WHY ARE THEY STILL ALLOWED TO SCAM?! I wrote a letter to the BBB….hopefully some action will be taken. They need a seat at the Karma Cafe, and get served EXACTLY what they deserve…Disgusting Pond Scum that they are…

Have returned & called but so far no luck with crediting my account even though they said they will.We should always check to see reviews of companies for scams. Sylvia Castle

  59. hello all,
I tried this product for a month and a bit. I did notice weight loss and changes in my appetite which was great however with every positive there is a negative with this I also experience constipation of up to 4 days I have been to my doctor and even the emergency department due cramps, abnormal bloating, constipation/diarrhoea and nausea. since 2014 November I have been battling IBS ( Irritable bowel syndrome), I have been to a specialist who has told me I developed this through the use of Garcia. I’m not here to give it a bad name as I had friend who took it with me who didn’t get what I did but please take with caution I am only 22 and having IBS has taken a strain on my life due to one silly mistake thinking I was fat needing weight loss supps now on a daily basis I deal with abnormal bloating which makes me look 3 month pregnant. the doctors said that my IBS will settle over time however for now I have been battling it all year. please take this with caution!

  64. I was scammed big time. This product is NOT free. After 14 days, they charged my account $87.31 which over drew my account. I called and was told that I should have read the fine print. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS like I did. It’s a scam……

  65. I too have been scammed. Do not buy this product. It is not a free trial at all. Your free trial ends 14 days after you order. By that time, you haven’t even received the product!!! How can you possibly trial it??? And then, they keep charging you. Same deal, was told to read the fine print…. And they make it almost impossible to contact them. Best advice, DO NOT PURCHASE THIS PRODUCT!!!

  67. I ordered this – Garcinia Cambogia Ultra Max – and because it was only $4.95 for FREE trial, I found another site, and ordered it again thinking I was doing good. Of course everything you have read was doubled in my case. When I saw the charges of over $85.00 twice on my bank statement I began to worry. I went to my bank and they gave me the phone # from “My Garcinia Max Slim Trial” where they had charged my account. Both the scams I ordered came from the same place luckily. They claim everything was there for me to read and that I wasn’t scammed. My trial was expired so they don’t want anything back. All they will do is a Fifty Percent refund!. I decided that was better than nothing. I had been charged close $180.00. I’ll see how it comes out.

  68. Company is a total rip off. You will be charged for the free trial and you will be sent future shipments. Just received two charges on my credit card $87.47 and $89.31. Did not authorized either charge .RIP OFF COMPANY. Definitely not free.

  69. Same thing happened to me. I ordered via my phone and there was no mention of a 14 day trial. I tried to email the company a day after ordering and my email came back as undelivered. I tried to reach their web site and had the same problem. Web site would not open up. I finally got their phone number from my credit card bill and called them. I was told they would not cancel my account and I needed to wait until I received the material and then call for a return number. I never received the material and exactly 14 days after the order they charged my card twice for $89+. I called my bank and cancelled my credit card. I will also be contacting the Atty General State of Ohio about this company.

  70. i fell for this shit bc i saw it on my facebook ad, and there is a CNN interview which is made me believe in this stupid pill. I cancled right away after I read some bad reviews about this scammer. I emailed them couple of times to cancel and get my money back, after a month they said they would refund to me 82 bucks, so i went on my vacation and didn’t check my bank account. When I came back, didnt see the refund, emailed them agian like more than 10 times but this time they didnt even respond. I called and a guy gave me a transaction number that they refunded to my acct, I called and check w/ my bank, didnt see any. I called a gain later on and this time it was pissed me off so I said right away that I want they to prove they did refund to me, a bank stmt or any evidence. That guy hung up right after I asked for evidence, shit. I called another time and this time I guess she is more experienced than him, she kept repeating that they had no responsibility to me anymore bc on their system, the refund was made, i asked for evidence and she kept talking around the circle and not get into the point.
this Dr. Oz and his products, his retailer company are shit of shit. All scammers, son of the bitch
I still get mad of how stupid I am and how asshole they are
