Is Garcinia Diet Max a scam?

Is Garcinia Diet Max a scam?

There have been many weight loss trends over the past year, many of which were started after appearing on the Dr Oz Show.

One such trend was Garcinia Cambogia with many people rushing to buy supplements containing this ingredient.

Unfortunately this also led to a rise in companies looking to exploit those who are looking to lose weight, often through the use of auto-shipping.

Auto-shipping is when a supplement is offered as a trial, which is usually offered at a hugely discounted price just to cover the postage.

What many people fail to realise is that at the conclusion of the trial they will be charged an extortionate fee.

These auto-ship programs are notoriously hard to cancel with many people being charged long after they initially signed up, and often even after they believe they have cancelled any future orders too.

Garcinia Diet Max is available as a trial but does this automatically mean that it is a scam? Lets look at this supplement in more detail before we come to any conclusion.

Claimed benefits of Garcinia Diet Max?

The following claims are made by Garcinia Diet Max on their website:

  • Curb your appetite
  • Burn fat
  • Increase serotonin levels

These claims all sounds pretty reasonable and are what you would expect to see on a website trying to sell diet supplements.

We will need to look at the ingredients used in Garcinia Diet Max to see if these claims are realistic.

Ingredients of Garcinia Diet Max?

From looking at the website Garcinia Diet Max contains 100% pure Garcinia Cambogia without any harmful ingredients or fillers.

Again this is incredibly promising so it is a shame that there is no mention of the dosage of its ingredients.

Just because it says that it contains pure Garcinia Cambogia does not mean that there is enough present for you to experience the undoubted benefits it provides.

Price of Garcinia Diet Max?

What is most worrying about Garcinia Diet Max is its price. Many people will be tempted by the trial offer, which costs £1.99. Just to cover the cost of postage.

However if you do not read the terms and conditions present on the website you will not know that you will be charged £84.71 at the conclusion of the trial with subsequent monthly payments thereafter.

This price is simple ridiculous and there are many products available much cheaper than this.

Is Garcinia Diet Max a scam?

Although Garcinia Diet Max has its terms and conditions on its website there will still be those who will sign up for the trial without reading them.

No wonder auto-ship programs have such a bad name for themselves, with many calling them a scam.

In our opinion trials should be avoided, they are simply not worth your time.

If you have signed up for a trial of Garcinia Diet Max we would love to hear from you, please leave a message below.

Alternative to Garcinia Diet Max

A proven alternative to Garcinia Diet Max is Garcinia Pure.

This supplement is not afraid to state its dosage, which is 1000 mg of pure Garcinia Cambogia with 60% HCA per capsule.

It also costs considerably less than Garcinia Diet Max at £39.99 for a months supply, plus you wont ever have to sign up for any auto-shipping.

    • I would recommend phoning or emailing Garcinia Diet Max as we are not associated with them in any way. 🙂

    • I also ordered from this website. Luckily I read the terms and conditions afterwards but only to see how long it would take for the supplements to reach me.

Fortunately I stumbled across the part about the charges as I was enquiring about cancelling any further orders as I new that it would be a ridiculous amount NEVERMIND £84.71!!! I googled what to do about this and contacted my bank and they told me that as I had reported it no payments to this company would happen. I suggest you contact your bank immediately! I was lucky that I came across it.

    • I signed up for the free trial of Garcinia Diet Max and found out the hard way about their extortionate payments taken from your bank account.

I contacted my bank who have refunded the payments to my account and (hopefully) put a block on any attempts the company make for any any further deductions.

I tried frequently to phone the numbers on the three numbers they provide but have never been able to speak to anyone, their voicemail claims all operators are busy.

I have also emailed three times and surprisingly they do not have the courtesy to acknowledge any messages that I have sent.

I can only hope that they will act on my requests and that the action taken by my bank will prevent any further money being taken.

    • I had this happen December 2013. I tried calling and couldn’t get through to anyone. Tried finding an email address but could only send an email on the website (website has now gone). My bank told me there was nothing they could do even though I called them straight away when I saw the payment. The person at garcinia told me the goods had been sent and wouldn’t be again! I am still £170 out of pocket but have still been trying to contact them. Any help?

  11. I ordered the free trial and paid $3 for shipping. I never received the trial bottle, tried to contact them on the number listed on the website but the operator told me they don’t deal with orders and she has no forwarding number to reach anyone. I left it alone thinking they scammed me for the shipping charge and forgot about it. Three weeks later I wake up to $109 taken out of my account by them. I called my bank, they gave me a different number to contact. I called it and never got a real person on the phone. I’m praying my bank can refund the money. Total scam. I feel so stupid for ordering something through an unknown site.

  13. Total scam. I got mine as a reward – a free gift – for buying something completely different, just pay £1.99 for delivery. It wasn’t even described as a trial, there was no indication that anything would continue at all, not I’ve noticed money being taken from my account.

  17. The scheming liars try to say that when you place the order for the “FREE” trial you tick the boxes to agree to them taking money from your bank, how can a 30 day trial turn into 14 days???? They have offered my 35% refund as a good will gesture!!!!!!

  18. I hâve had the same experience here in France and just got wind of it ten days into my trial. I phoned and was told my order will be cancelled but these bastards are making money from vulnerable people and I am going to report them to every scam agency I can. Spread the word and bring them down because this really is not honest.

I also do not endorse trial offers such as the one reviewed above, so I suggest you try contacting them or your bank.

  20. I have just found out they took double payments when it was only meant for 30 days trial, and then they deducted again over $200 off my account, so angry,, but yet I was stupid enough to get sucked in with these thinking it’s going to work for me,,

  21. This is a scam because the company never alerts you of two very important things – when the trial period will end and the cost of the product after the trial period. Perhaps the details are hidden in the very, very tiny and hard to access/read terms and conditions, but I believe they rely on their automatic charges rather than the effectiveness of the product. I received the product in the mail and called the day after the “trial”period (the 15th day) to cancel and was informed i called too late to reverse the charges. Had I known they were charging 160 dollars, I would have had ZERO interest in ever trying the “product” – not even if it made me 20 years younger, 5’8″ and blonde! I’m so pissed off.

  22. I paid for the free trial. I stumbled upon this website the next day. I then read the terms on the max garcenia site I ordered from. It said after 13 days I would be charged some large sum of money for the pills. So today, 1 day after ordering, I called and cancelled. And like many of you have stated, he did try offering me a 25% discount. After I refused that, he said he would put a 14 day extension since I hadn’t begun the supplements yet with a 77% supervisor discount. Which would make each bottle about $20.12. I refused also and asked how we could do it so I wouldn’t be charged because I thought I was only supposed to pay shipping. He then told me that he would cancel my order and I could keep the supplements I was going to receive, seeing as they had already been shipped. I received an email telling me both of my orders had been cancelled and no further charges to my account would occur. I actually feel a lot better about it, since I’d been so stressed about it after reading this article. Tomorrow, I’m calling my bank to be sure their company won’t try to make other transactions with my account. Be careful with “free” trials, guys. I bet you can guess how often I’ll be falling for this again.

  23. I ordered the “Free Trial” of the Max Detox as well as the Garcinia-Slimming initially paying only for shipping. I received one package of which I hadn’t opened yet containing the two trial bottles which is apparently a 45 day supply. What they fail to tell you is that if you don’t call or email to cancel the membership (that you may not have realized you signed up for) then they will charge you for the trial bottles. I was just charged $78.20 for the Max-Detox as well as $79.50 for the Garcinia-Slimming because it’s been 14 days since I received it and I didn’t cancel my “membership”. After reading all of these reviews I was worried that I most definitely would not be refunded anything. I’m currently out $157.70 on top of the shipping costs I already paid. To cancel your membership which I suggest you do IMMEDIATELY, call: 1-800-820-9822, it’ll be a recording. Just select #1 or #2 during their open hours and it’ll put you on hold for the next available representative. I told them I wanted to cancel any membership I had and that I wanted a full refund. Like everyone else stated, you WILL NOT get a FULL refund. After disputing with them, I’m supposedly getting most of it back, but because of a third party “Stocking fee” that is non-refundable they are returning $60.50, and $60.20 out of the $157.70 equaling $120.70. Basically I’m losing $37+shipping totaling $13.89. Which means I’m out a total of $50.89 not to mention the shipping I’ll have to pay to return the package. $50 for absolutely nothing but stress and a headache. Thankfully I’ve been too busy planning our wedding and hadn’t opened the sealed bottles, if I had they informed me I would not get a return at all. I called my bank as well but because it was purchased on a credit/debit card they can’t cancel any payments even if they’re still pending (which mine are). I will be sending the package of the unopened bottles back, once it’s received by the third party they said they will credit the amount minus the total of $37 stocking fees back to my account. Make sure to get the RMI # that you will have to put on the outside of your package. I would also make sure you get a cancellation confirmation # for your records as well. I’m crossing my fingers that the refund actually happens. Lesson learned. Even if you just ordered it and want to try it, DON’T! If you’re lucky enough to read these comments within your 14 day trial cancel your membership IMMEDIATELY or you’re assured to lose money!!!

  24. Me and my partner got scammed with these last year along side a couple of others. They made a fake website which used ‘womens health’ as it’s basis. We had over £600 taken from us in two months to which the bank basically laughed and said they were having dozens of people a week in that branch going in, the police were notified but sadly they quickly changed their website to contain the T&c’s luckily I had taken screen shots of the original website which did not include any info regarding continuing orders. I never did get my money back but it did teach me and my friends a very valuable lesson. If it looks too good to be true it probably is…
The tablets themselves made me very ill actually. They made me bleed from my back passage which was said by the Dr to be from my Stomach/intestines. They are a fantastically expensive version of the laxative diet…

  25. This product is a complete scam. I ordered it for the displayed price of $4.95 and yes, I was charged $4.95 and completely happy with my purchase… until my bank card was hit for another $80 more. I saw nothing on the website about a trial and did not agree to more money being taken out on my card. I had to call my bank, have them bounce the order and now am waiting for a new card… all this trouble for this product. Need I say anything else. It wasn’t a good weekend. I will never order anything from them again and urge everyone else to do the same. I

  26. If they haven’t charged you the crazy prices yet and all that’s on your statement is the trial payments of 1.99. You can call your bank and report your card lost or stolen. If they try to run your card again it won’t go through because your bank will lock the card. That’s what I did and I haven’t seen any other charges on my account.

I wasn’t aware of the $89 charge that was going to happen until I looked at my bank statement. Holding to stop the payment today. Do not buy this product. Go to your local pharmacy and get it for under $20.
