Is the Garcinia Essentials trial a scam?

Is the Garcinia Essentials trial a scam?

Garcinia Essentials is a supplement available for trial made from Garcinia Cambogia that is claimed to both burn fat and suppress your appetite.

Firstly can you believe the claims being made by Garcinia Essentials, and secondly how much is Garcinia Essentials going to cost you? From past experience I would be wary of trial offers as they are often a front for an auto-ship scam.

In this review we will look at this supplement in more detail to see just what you will be getting and whether we would recommend it or not.

Benefits of Garcinia Essentials

From the website we can see that the following claims are being offered:

  • Helps prevent fat build up
  • Control your cravings
  • Decrease belly fat
  • Serotonin increase
  • Help reduce calorie intake by 25%

While some of the claims are certainly realistic for a Garcinia Cambogia supplement, there is one claim that seems to have been pulled from nowhere.

There is no proof that taking this supplement can reduce calorie intake by 25%.

As for its other claims, we would need to look at its ingredients to see how accurate they are.

Ingredients of Garcinia Essentials

As there is no label present on the website there is no way of knowing just what Garcinia Essentials contains.

It states that it is made from pure Garcinia Cambogia, and contains the recommended dosage of 1,000 mg but there is no mention of how much HCA it contains.

HCA or Hydroxycitric Acid is what makes Garcinia Cambogia so effective.

Some supplements contain very little, which means that the quality is not very good. When looking for a Garcinia Cambogia supplement, 50% HCA should be the minimum requirement.

Price of Garcinia Essentials

The biggest shock to come for anyone signing up to this trial offer will be when they realise just how much Garcinia Essentials really costs.

While it is true that at sign up you will only need to pay the cost of shipping and handling ($6.29), what you most likely have not realised is that this only gives you a 14 day trial of the supplement.

After this time has elapsed you will be in for a surprise when a charge of $114.17 is made to your account.

To make matters worse is that as Garcinia Essentials is an auto-ship program this wont be the end of the charges with more to be expected every month until your subscription is cancelled.

Is Garcinia Essentials a scam?

While there is nothing illegal about what Garcinia Essentials are doing, this wont make you feel any better knowing you have been caught out by a common ploy.

Trial offers are notorious for these hidden terms and conditions so if you are tempted by a trial in the future, either take a moment to read the T&Cs thoroughly or click off the website immediately.

The vast majority of trial offers are not worth your time to sign up to. If you are tempted by the benefits offered by certain supplements then I would recommend you look for an alternative that you can buy outright with no trial.

Alternative to Garcinia Essentials

Garcinia Pure would be our recommendation for an alternative to Garcinia Essentials.

This particular supplement is available from Evolution Slimming, with a months supply costing $60. There is no auto-shipping so the price you see is the price you pay.

Each dosage contains 1,000 mg of Garcinia Cambogia with 60% HCA so good weight loss results will certainly be expected.

      • You have to phone NSW 91912796 and cancel your account and also have to cancel your credit card. I did this as over $400 was taken from my account before I even recieved the tablets. It is a huge scam. My bank has now taken it over and calling it fraud!!!!!

      • Julie, I ordered this product too and realised too late that I would be automatically charged for further product before I had even had the chance to trial the supplement. I sent an email to: support@garciniaessentials.com within the first week asking that my account with them be closed (they advised in their advertisement that you had to cancel in the first 14 days) and could they please contact me to advise that they had received my email. Days later (after the 14 day period was up) my email was returned to me saying that it couldn’t be delivered. I then phoned them using the Brisbane number as I live in Australia. By this time as I turns out my account (over the weekend) had been already been debited for the next shipment (over $300 and no notification that I was going to be debited on that particular date) – still hadn’t received the first shipment!! I explained my situation to her and she was very rude to me saying that I was cancelling outside of the 14 days and that was why my account had been debited. I explained to her that I had actually emailed the company on the above address within the 14 day cancellation period but that the email had just been returned to me as it wasn’t able to be delivered. She made me forward the email to her right then and there and then asked me if my account was still open?? I asked her why it wouldn’t be and then she said she would refund the money. I hung up wondering whether whether I should cancel my account but then thought I would keep a minimal amount of money in my account and then see if the money was refunded – it was and in a short period of time. I kept my account going but was keeping an eye on it just to see if anything further happened. Then at the end of last month I noticed a couple of international transactions went through on my account (they were both under $3.00) and the name that came up on my bank statement was different to what had come up on my initial statement. When I investigated further, it came back to another product (which I had not ordered) attached to the same company. I called the bank straight away and cancelled my card. BEWARE is the moral of the story. I have never participated in a trial in the past and will never do so in the future. I finally received the first shipment but to be honest haven’t been game to try it. On the bottle it says that the statements on the bottle ‘have not been evaluated by the FDA or any other governing body’. That doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence in me. Hope this helps others.

        • I have just read through a number of complaints/comments regarding the “Free Trial” of Garcinia Essentials and Cleanse. On the trial offer that I sent for I paid the postage on both of these items as a trial. I never agreed to any money being taken from my account for further orders, and it didn’t say this anywhere on the advertisement.
I contacted the support number after $129.44 AUD was taken from my bank account, a month later.
The woman on the phone told me that I had agreed to their T&Cs by ordering the free trial, (I disagreed) she then cancelled my order, and told me when the product came I could return it and get a full refund.
Today I contacted the company again as no product has been sent to me. The woman today told me I had been misinformed by the previous worker.
However if I sent the trial bottle back (UNOPENED) they would give me a complete refund.
I laughed and told her this is the most ridiculous statement I have ever heard, who would sign up for a free trial, never open it, then send it back to claim a full refund.
After debating with her for some time on the phone, and asking her what does it mean “A free trial” she told me that she would refund half my money straight away without me sending back the unopened bottle.
Because I tried the product they were going to keep half of my money!!!

After reading a number of these comments I too have noticed 2 other deductions from my bank account under another company name for $2.78 & $2.55 which I am going to further investigate.

I think that these scams are outrageous and these companies should be hounded down by a government department, all monies should be frozen and if not returned to the people they have ripped off, should be donated to hospital’s.
          Disgusting, and dishonest crooks !!!

Maybe they should think about a little universal certainty called Karma!!!

I called in June to enquire where my free samples were only to be told that I had not read the fine print. By ordering the free samples automatically I am billed in full for the actual long term products. I cancelled immediately with the lady on the phone.
Now it looks like my free samples are also cancelled because I have to date NOT received them. Disguising I say disguising!!!!!

There is no email address available to contact them and no one will answer the “online chat”. They do not want to be contacted. If the product was any good you would not need to keep using it and it seems the only way they can sell their products is by deceiving people by hiding the most important information in tiny print and billing you every month without your consent. My bank is going to contact them as this is one big scam!

I have been to the bank and they have confirmed that it is all the same company.

I rang the NZ Ph number on the pill bottle today and got an indonesian lady – who said she was cancelling further shipments/payments. She also said “oh very sorry, but another 2 payments of $90 each has just gone out this morning” !!!!! We also cancelled our creditcard to be sure they couldn’t access more money. B%@*$!

The lady on the line explained the auto-shipping which I also cancelled. I received email confirmation of the cancellation and when I enquired as to a refund I was told I was still getting the Garcinia Essentials.

My order was placed 14 August 2015 and I received it yesterday 21 September 2015. I had to pay the Post Office R77.90 to collect.

        • I ordered on 22/8 and received confirmation of order on 24/8 which was being shipped. On 31/8 they debited my credit card with the full amount as “according to the terms there is a 14day trial when you have to respond with your comments on the product” The product arrived 18/9 and the customs charge was R155.00, so in total, they debited me with R1163 and some change, and I’ve only received one consignment. They said they would send another free of charge, but there will also be customs charge. I have emailed them about 4 times, with no response, only to be advised that the good have been shipped. The 087 number is a call centre in the USA! Scam or no scam, they’re unethical and unprofessional, and the product is now available in SA ! So make up your own mind.

      • I only realized earlier this month, on 16 September 2015 that these cunning people was busy siphoning my money from my credit card. I only signed up for a once off Garcinia Essential, Restora Lumina and Levante products and paid some R89 each for four products. I had to pay a hefty postage fee of around R80 per delivery. They have already deducted 12 amounts of R1000+ amounts that amounts to approximately R15000.00.

My bank informed me that I did not read the fine print! This is a scam and the banks must surely by now know about it! Are they not supposed to contact me for every deduction that is made? Surely they cannot accept a once-off signature as proof! The bank is now conveniently saying I authorized all these excessive amounts on my credit card.

Can anyone help me with advice as to how I can retrieve my money from them? I contacted them today and they have cancelled all orders/subscriptions or whatever they call it.

I need my money and am desperate to get it back.

        Kind regards,
        Sardick

I ordered the tablets in response to its ‘pay for shipping only’ promo 10 days ago. I received the 2 bottles yesterday (from Utah, USA), and was searching online today for instructions on how to take them … then I found this blessed website. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I noticed from one comment on here advising ‘if you cancel within 14 days, you will not be charged anything further’. So I went ahead and called the NZ contact number. Lady was pleasant but reluctant to process my cancellation request and tried to offer me to pay only US$18 per month for the next 2 months for my ‘subscription’. I asked her ‘did I purchase a subscription’ and she said ‘Yes’. So I insisted she completely cancel my account details including credit card details. She did – reluctantly, and asked me if I wanted a confirmation email of cancellation. I said ‘Yes please!’. Here it is below. I’ll update any further transactions happen but CANCEL AS SOON AS YOU RECEIVE THE PROMOTIONAL BOTTLES! Good luck!

      • I also ordered the two products they advertise and was charged 6 times different amounts on different occasions, but not the amounts I authorized when purchasing, which were R 104.00 and R 107.00 respectively. When I queried the transactions with my bank and asked for them to reverse them, I was told the following:

“Please take note that this merchant is using different names like GCNABSCSBILL COM, HLTHBILL.COM, CLNSEBILL.COM and ACCTSUPPORT.COM when debiting membership amounts.

We hereby confirm that the transactions involve a membership premium, which was initiated upon purchasing the trial product/s on 18 August 2015 by accepting the merchant’s terms and conditions. These terms and conditions advised of the membership agreement the client was entering into regarding recurring debits that will be processed if he/she does not cancel the membership.

We hereby suggest that you contact the merchant and instruct them to cancel your membership and refund the disputed amounts.”

What membership?? Were you informed about that when you ordered?? I wasn’t!

When I tried to email them, the emails were returned. I then called their South African number and was told that the reason why I was charged the R1206.00 twice for the products and not the advertised price, was that I did not cancel the membership within a certain period, which is clearly stated on their website. Pity I did not try to go into the website at the time of the call! Now, it is not even available! In total, this has cost me close to R3000.00.

Needless to say that it has been over a month and a half since I place the order and nothing has arrived! I have had to cancel my credit card in fear of more debits and have had to be inconvenienced by the time and hassle the process takes.

I told the lady I spoke to that their conduct was fraudulent and that I would make it known online. So far, I have not received the cancellation email, but will keep on insisting.

This concern is surely a SCAM!

Good luck to all getting their refunds.

    • BEWARE of this scam. Within the $5 ‘trial’ price of this product there is a term/condition of purchase allowing the health company to take bi weekly payments of $180+ until you cancel (within the trial 2 weeks) which doesn’t become obvious until you get your next credit card statement!!! We noticed nearly $500 had been stolen from our account this month – we rang and cancelled our creditcard, as well as the ‘ongoing’ order. The health co. rep did as we asked and then said “…and another $200 just happened to have gone out today… sorry about that.” Read the fine (invisible) print, people.

I was told that I would only pay the delivery fee – well, I had two ‘delivery-fee’ deductions off my credit card (approx. R180) and then two further deductions of $88 and $89…!!!! I would never have paid this had I known of the cost initially. Am trying to reverse the payments thru’ my bank so have learnt a hard lesson and hope Ia get refunded.

    • Hi Jan,

I ordered on the 10th October and finally received today 28th Oct. I had someone ring me a few days back and again today 28/10 requesting my credit card details over the phone and was advised if I didn’t say them that my order would be held until I did. I too did not read the fine print however rang their customer help line to find out if it was normal that I get a phone call requesting my credit card details over the phone. The lady said no. When I got the second call today regarding requesting my credit card details, I refused to state – going on what I was told by customer service a couple of days back. So I rang customer service again and was told it was the process for someone to ring me back to ‘confirm’ my credit card details and that I would be charged $89 for each bottle after the trial period of 14 days. Considering that this morning when I rang I still had not received the bottles the lady advised she will extend the trial period. So I think I will cancel my ‘unbeknowenst to me’ subscription taking into account what people are saying on this blog. btw – did you get the second phone call requesting your credit card details? Keep ringing them for your products – I hope you get them. All the best

hello all, i too was fooled by this. i have indeed reported it to the consumer affairs- the government. I advise all TO please please report this now. you don’t even have to give your name. The first thing that you need to do is google “Report a Scammer” and it should automatically give your countries consumer affairs. I’m even getting fake calls from this number 00442037697136 which states they are in london. But the package which i got was from Neatherlands, and utar was the other one. seems like they are every where. Please stop your credit cards and debit visas as they will try to take all your money. Please go to your bank to get that sorted. The trail we still have to pay for it.

Rang Brisbane number after the money was taken out of my account before the 14 days were up. Email is support@myaccountsupport.net which can be found nowhere. Got an email to say I’d cancelled. Also had to forward email I had sent to cancel but was told auto shipment had happened. 1 am Sunday??? Told me I could keep the product they had sent for 50%. No way. Haven’t got anything. It’s a scam. Nothing received. Now contacting bank to cancel credit card in case they keep doing it. What a hassle.

  23. I am a poor Australian duped by this company. Lured me in, while I was reading the news on line, with the old “try products only pay for shipping” then after then 16 days later (after the 14 days of “trial” was up) they start deducting money.
I rang the SYD number provided +14-291912796, spoke to operator from Salt Lake who was very forthright that I should have read the terms and conditions and because it was in fine print all is justified.
Anyway cancelled the account and cancelled credit card. Will complain to the Aus Consumer Commission…lesson learnt.

  26. Hello All,

You are right – it is an auto ship arrangement. As soon as you order you are billed for three bottles – not one bottle – for the next three months’ forward supply in advance and that locks you in. I telephoned the Australian number and got through – thank you for providing it. I deliberately spoke very directly, very authoritatively and determinedly with the intent to intimidate with lawful authority. Appears to have worked, but have to wait and see if they live up to the promise of a refund.

The person I spoke with initially tried to find a reason for me to hang up and offered to call me back. I politely declined – knowing she would never call me back. I received no advice via email nor a transaction ID No. nor any Order confirmation or Order No. from the company. She pretended I should have received these details and that without this information she could not help me at all. I insisted she must have my name, address and credit card details to have already shipped the goods and to have debited my account. After some insistence she finally conceded she had my order and my details.

I said I had not yet received the product, that I had cancelled my credit card, that I had reported the transaction to my Bank as an unauthorised transaction and would be reporting it to local authorities to pursue the company should it refuse to refund the value of the two bottles I had not ordered and did not want.

She claimed the Terms and Conditions state that in cancelling the forward months’ orders before receiving the product, which had already been billed, automatically forfeited the right to receive the product and it would not be forwarded therefore. I intimidated her calmly with the law on my side, by stating back to her that the company had entered a contract to supply me with 3 bottles by virtue of accepting my money, that the law deemed that as having entered a contract enforceable by either and both parties, that the company would therefore be in breach of the Contract if it failed to deliver the goods already paid for; that to do so was outright theft and that I would draw the matter to the attention of the Police and government authorities and bring charges of larceny against the company, in the even that I received no refund.

She immediately offered me a refund on two bottles. It now remains to be seen whether that will be honoured. I requested that this offer of refund be confirmed in writing by email to me. Have to wait and see whether I receive that too.

I suggest that if you can get through on the telephone that everyone lean on the legal issue of the company acting in breach of contract, which it automatically enters upon accepting payment for its product. The terms and conditions which state a cancellation forfeits the forward months’ order of product, despite being already paid for, is an unlawful Condition and cannot be enforced by the company. So rely on the law and give them curry expressing every intention to bring in the law after them. You might be offered a refund! Let’s hope my refund comes good.

  27. I have the same complaint as all the others – particularly relating to Linda – 25 June.

The free shipping order – +/- R172-00 – never received – and then further charges now amounting to +/- R4 800-00, totalling around R5 000-00 is totally unacceptable, and amazing that if this company is a scam that they are still in operation after so many problems. Surely legal action can be taken with refunds payable to injured parties – plus lost interest for these unauthorised transactions.

Please advise me if anyone finds a successful solution.

  28. Wow. What a lot of negative comments. I have to say I have not had such a bad experience. I ordered my free trial bottle 31/7 and it arrived from Utah within 10 days. The only complaint I would have is the cost charged to my account $137 – over the top! I had no problem phoning the local account support number in Auckland to cancel the auto ship but they did offer the next month at $20 – somewhat discounted.you might say. I still cancelled and they accepted that no issue. I thought they were very polite actually.

Told her to cancel as I have not received anything. Got an email straight away to say it’s cancelled. Also told to sent my email to say I wanted to cancel before days but because product was shipped I could not get a refund until I returned product. If I ever get it. Tried to say I could keep and she would refund 50% now. Will still have to go through hassle of cancelling credit card because wouldn’t trust as far as I could throw them.

  39. This is a TOTAL AND UTTER SCAM!!!! these tablets were advertised through Facebook which is where I found it. I ordered a ‘trial’ of this product and my account was debited €6.73 on 4th August for which I was happy enough. I received a bottle of 60 capsules but, on the 17th August, to my utter horrification, I noticed that my account was again debited by this company, BUT by the sum of €82.09!!!!!!!!! I nearly got a heart attach as I had not ordered or received any more of their products and they had sent me no paperwork outlining what this charge was for!!!!! I urgently emailed them 3 times and to date havnt got a reply. I rang them twice today (0044 808 168 3669 from Ireland) and they said that I should have read the terms and conditions in small print as I had 14 days to let them know that I wanted to cancel my account!!! I told them that this was totally unacceptable and that they were operating a total scam!!! I further told them that I was going to contact a National Radion Programme to tell them what was going on in this Comany and how they were cheating and lying to clients. I demanded a Supervisors name to be told that Michael Simon Grey could be contacted tomorrow!!! They gave me an email address support@myaccountsupport.net as the one advertised on Facebook was not in operation.!! This was enough to start warning bells ringing in my head. They said that they would accept the product and refund me if I returned it was unopened!!! I told them that as far as I was concerned this was the trial product I ordered and paid for so..OF COURSE I HAD OPENED IT!!!! The upshot of it is that because I had threatened to go to the National Media with my experience they agreed to give me a 50% refund and I asked for this in writing by email which I have received. They said it will take 10 days to go through so it will be interesting to see if this refund comes through.
I am still going to try to contact this Supervisor tomorrow but dont hold out much chance of getting
any more satisfaction from them. It is a total disgrace what this crowd seem to be getting away with….I have just read all the above negative comments about this Company and I just hope that somebody can stop them AS SOON AS POSSIBLE because nobody deserves to be treated like this……

  41. I also live in SA & ordered these 2 products 30 June. Immediately 2 separate debits went off my card for $6.79 x 2(R 86 x 2). I then went onto the web and read about everyone moaning that it was a scam, so I panicked and phoned to cancel my credit card. (this being a Saturday night, I still managed to get my card cancelled, but not the 2 amounts that had already been debited reversed.) that was fine, I could live with being scammed for R 172.00 and never thought I would see the products. At the beginning of August I received a note to collect a parcel from the post office – YAY my items had arrived! NOT – only 1 of them! I then had to pay R 75.00 for Customs VAT as it had to be cleared. At least 1 had the one product but it says that they work best together. So I thought I would wait as the lady at the post office said that the orders were being shipped separately and most of the people were getting the order within a few weeks of each other so I musnt worry as I would probably receive the 2nd one soon. Then a few days ago I received the advise of the 2nd parcel arriving. Back to the post office and my 2nd parcel had arrived – yes I had to pay another R 75 for customs vat. So in total I paid R 322 but at least I have the 2 products finally. so my advice would be is cancel your credit card so there are no further debits and hopefully you receive your products like I did.

  51. Hi,

I have made a habit to be aware of any purchase I make of the internet and always check first to see if it is a SCAM.

One thing I’ve learnt is, if it seems to good to be true is usually is.

So I did my usual research on the internet and first thing that popped up was the same story but offering a different product, read that again, same story different product… SCAM!!

Buyer beware cannot be stressed enough when it comes to purchasing off the internet. Don’t get me wrong, I do most of my buying over the internet, I LOVE it. But lessons learnt.

I contacted the support centre and I got the excuse That the free trial is held up at customs awaiting the SA Health Authorities’ approval. The additional debit was apparently because the small print states that if they don’t hear from me within 17 days, it triggers an auto-generated order. I sent them emails and eventually got a response that the orders have been cancelled. I then insisted on a refund. Got a call today from the USA from a heavily accented female who can barely speak English requesting me to repeat my credit card number over the phone. I refused and insisted they use my order details for their record purposes. I promptly received an email stating they will not be refunding me via email and insist this needs to be done via phone. I responded that in that case they need t find someone who can speak English to call me back. I have instructed my bank to reverse the debit. Now we wait.

It appears that I got charged more than that (I guess it was for international fees) and it also appears that I am getting charged a monthly fee?? I was not told about this when I signed up for the “free” trial

    Ariel says:
Thank you for waiting. I have pulled up an account, and it shows that you placed an order for Garcinia Essentials on September 6, 2015. You were also billed for the regular price of the bottle on September 19. Your subcription is still open.
    Keryn says:
OK I was not told that there would be a “regular” subscription. To date I have only received the “trial” bottle. How do I go about cancelling this “subscription” that I did not sign up to and getting a refund for the sept 19 billing
    Ariel says:
Yes, this is a subscription you are signing up with. When you order the product, you were only billed for the shipping and handling for $4.95. However, if you don’t want to proceed with the subscription, you have to contact us for cancellation request within 14 days (introductory period) from the day you placed the order. Otherwise, our system here will charge you the remaining full price of the product.
    Keryn says:
once again this was not notified to me – how do I go about cancelling this
    Ariel says:
On September 19, you were billed for $89.90. This is the regular price of the products.
    Ariel says:
I can help you with the cancellation of your account; I can process that for you.
    Keryn says:
on sept 19 I was billed $124.64 not $89.90. Yes please I would like this cancelled immediately
    Ariel says:
I do apologized, but $89.90 is in US dollar. That is $124.64 in your currency.
    Ariel says:
However, we have promotional offer right now that you might reconsider. Instead of cancelling your account, we can keep it active but instead of paying the $89.90 for the full price of the product, we can give it to you for $19.99. Would like to take our special offer?
    Keryn says:
    no thanks please cancel immediately
    Ariel says:
How about if we are going to charge the $19.99 every 90 days / 3 months? You will still receive the product every month, but you will only be charged for $19.99 only every 90 day.
    Keryn says:
CANCEL THIS SUBSCRIPTION THAT I DID NOT SIGN UP FOR IMMEDIATELY. I DO NOT WANT ANYMORE OF YOU “PROMOTIONAL” PRODUCTS. I ALSO WANT IMMEDIATE VERIFICATION AND EMAIL THAT THIS HAS BEEN CANCELLED
    Ariel says:
I respect your decision. I will cancel your account here, please allow me one moment to process it.
    Ariel says:
Thank you for waiting. I have successfully canceled your Garcinia Essentials account. This means that no more further charges on your account.

Finally – thankyou. I understand that it is your job to try and get sales but when a customer has advised that they did not sign up for something and want it cancelled, you need to respect that and do it straightaway and not continue to try and get money from them. I hope that I do not get anymore charges… thanks

  59. I’m from SA, applied for the promotional package of R58. Great. Nearly a month there after it got taken off the card to a total of R1200around that. My man flipped cause it was his card, then looking into the matter it’s some place overseas so he though I didn’t do the exchange rate. That was not the case, he ended up phoning them and blasting them for false advertising etc. Eventually he got them to cancel this so called subscription I’d agreed to that I hadn’t. Anyway that was August they sent an email and today (30Sep) I got me “free damage control bottle. If you have no intention or that kind of money don’t even go to the page and give any information what so ever! !

  60. Hi. I placed my order on 07 July 2015 for “pay only the postage” Garcinia Essentials and Essential Cleanse, and the monies were deducted from my account – R88,67 & R87,50 to be precise. I then proceeded to wait for my two bottles to arrive. Then I read that a new order would be shipped to you automatically (for the full price) within 14 days from the inception of your account. I called my bank, who advised me to cancel my credit card, which I did. I also emailed the Garcinia people numerous times to enquire when my products would be delivered – the last three times I called them and gave them hell! I had given up hope of ever receiving the items, and surprise surprise, our delivery person dropped two packages on my desk this morning.
Let’s see if this works 🙂

  61. I ordered the 2 trial bottles. My intention was to get the first 2 bottles and then unsubscribe straight away. I sent an e-mail to the first address I found; this e-mail was cancelling my subscription 11 days after I signed up. So well within the 14 day cancellation period. That e-mail bounced back to me with a ‘failure message’. The only mailing address I could find was in Utah, America so I posted a letter. The phone number displayed on their initial advertisement is a number that is no longer connected and is apparently a Brisbane number. I found another e-mail address but got no response. Since the initial $13.00 they have nearly deducted $400.00 from my account. The $400 is apparently for 3 bottles, 3 bottles that never arrived. I’ve contacted my bank and asked them to retrieve my nearly $400 and I’ve also asked the bank to cancel my credit card and issue me with a new one. 🙁

  62. Hi, I placed an order for the two bottles as a trial offer. I had always planned on unsubscribing, I just wanted to try the 2 initial bottles. The advertisement read that we had 14 days to cancel after receipt of the first 2 bottles. 3 days after I had placed my order for the 2 trial bottles, I e-mailed to cancel my subscription but my e-mail bounced back with a message ‘failure to send’. I notified my bank. I then found another e-mail address so e-mailed, that e-mail didn’t bounce back but was ignored. I found a phone number on the web page and rang the number to cancel, the number however, was not valid. I later found out it was a Brisbane number. I contacted my bank again. I found an address in Utah, America so wrote a long cancellation letter. I tried to access the web page they advertised for unsubscribing but got a message ‘this site is currently down’. Nearly $400.00 has been deducted from my bank account, supposedly for 3 bottles of product. I have not received the bottles and they are also unwanted bottles as I wanted to cancel well and truly before any other money was deducted after the initial $13.00 for the 2 trial bottles. I have contacted my bank and asked them to retrieve my (nearly) $400.00 and have asked my bank to close down my credit card and issue me with a new card and a new number. I just hope no more money is deducted from my account before it’s closed.

  63. This a complete scam to just steal people’s money. All is mentioned by other complainants, is exactly what happened to me. Nedbank could not reverse the money as the bank cannot access their details or contacts.
this free trial thing is what they use to catch us. they 1st deduct 114.00, then 1132, then you pay post office R72.00 to collect the parcel sent to you after 3 months of ordering.

I hope no one ever orders from these people they are cruel and thieving bunch of people.
All these monies they make us to pay, we not even have. Im so disgusted and would advise people not to order anything online.

  64. I got a ‘free sample’ of the product. HA! it took 21 days to arrive, never had a chance to try them and they have already taken money from my account. It’s a scam. I have had to go through the process of cancelling my credit card, filling in forms at the bank to get my money back (hopefully). Phoned them – woman couldn’t even speak proper English, refused to put me through to a supervisor, said I should read their website – which I have – it says I can cancel anytime within 30 days of ordering my FREE trial and my money will be refunded and no further charges will be made. LIARS. I am now contacting Consumer to lay an official complaint/

  65. I ordered the free sample on 22 Sept. The Item arrived yesterday. As I had lost my voice I decided it best to check that the product would not be contra indicative with other medication I am taking. I was amazed to read of all the people being charged large $$$ amounts. I immediately emailed the address on my invoice to cancel any further orders. I then checked my credit card entries. Five deductions had been made on my account totalling about $150. I then contacted ANZ for help. They said cancelling my card was the safest way to avoid further deductions. This has now been done. ANZ said they would keep me informed of their inquiries and will restore the deductions to my account. I thought I was quite alert to scams and am disappointed in myself for being taken in.

  66. I have a phone number that works if anyone is interested. +1 (925) 350 5233. If you mention seeking Legal Advise and going to the Police they answer their phone and e-mails!!! And the two free products – not free. About 2 weeks after you order the 2 trial bottles your account gets deducted for the full amount. So where they advertise the 2 trail bottles for $13.00; you get charged that and a few weeks later they deduct your account for over $200. So the bottles are not a free introductory offer!!

Just use the words ‘Legal Advise’ and ‘Police Station’. They soon answer your e-mails on support@myaccountsupport.net and they ring you pretty quickly when they read those words. Try also using the words ‘theft’ and ‘Police Charges’.
I’m hoping I get all my money back as I am a low income earner and cannot afford to lose money. I was scammed bad too.

  71. Hello, I recently ordered the trials for the garcinia cambogia and essential cleanse. However, I then stumbled upon this website as I was doing a bit more research.
My trial bottles haven’t arrived as of yet and it has been 10 days, so pretty close to reaching the 14 day cut off.

After reading what everyone here had said I went back to their site and read the terms and conditions, it was actually very straight forward, all listed right near the top. I don’t agree with the fact that they don’t mention auto shipping anywhere except the terms and conditions, because who reads those anyway – But I feel stupid for not reading them.

This morning I called the Australian number +61 731886691 (also listed in the T&Cs) to cancel anything before i got charged the $250. The man asked me a few things, for my order number, name and email address, why I wanted to cancel, and then he cancelled them for me after trying to get me to stay on at a 75% discounted rate, which I declined. Anyways, I know a lot of you didn’t realise before the 14 days was up, but for me it was pretty easy, the phone call took less than 5 minutes, even with a terrible phone line – Now I will have to just wait and see if i still get charged.
Just as I finished writing this review an email came through from them:Greetings,

Thank you for contacting customer care.

Your account with Garcinia Essentials and Essential Cleanse has been successfully cancelled. Since your account was cancelled with in the Introductory Period, there will be no further charges to your account.

If you have further questions, please feel free to contact customer care.

    Kind Regards,

  73. I discovered about $260 had been deducted from my credit card within a week of the arrival of my ‘free sample’. I had the inconvenience of having to change my credit card. That is the only solution. The bank refunded the money. I thought the product was coming from Queensland and discovered it was Salt Lake City.

    • I also got ripped with this scam I discovered $300+ had been deducted from my credit card within a week of the arrival of my free sample & I have got the credit card fraud mob looking into it as I am waiting to find out what is going on I assume I will have to cancel my credit card also. I thought the product was coming from QLD but no it was Salt Lake City as well.

  74. I unfortunately fell for this scam. I ordered the trial products which were to be a 14 day supply as a trial. I have had $136 deducted from my account. I was careful not to click absent mindedly when making the order so as not to fall for approving an ongoing order. I have no idea how I missed it as I had thought I was being very thorough in making sure I didn’t get sucked in to a scam… to no avail. On phoning the company contact team the lady just kept repeating that I had placed the order for the product and would not listen to me. I have to admit to getting very cross with her and asked to speak to her Manager which she refused to do. I have since cancelled my card and have emailed as well as told the lady to cancel any account they had set up for me as I wanted nothing further to do with their company. I don’t even have any product to show for the $136 they have charged me.

  75. TOTALLY DODGEY!!!! I ordered the trial of 1 bottle of Garcinia Essentials and the trial of 1 bottle of Essential Cleanse. All up this “Risk free trial” cost me NZ$285.28!!! Six payments were put on my credit card- For each bottle: the initial $8 trial fee, then a $132 charge, then $2.90 (which was a postage insurance charge I’m told!!!!) All 6 charges were from different China and USA companies. The customer service lady said that I should have read the fine print at the bottom of the website. I did read the fine print- it obviously wasn’t very clear! I said I would cancel immediately, she said that she would do so and there would be no further product or charges. I thought that I had paid trial price for the first bottle and the $132 was for a 2nd bottle that would be sent as I hadn’t cancelled the trial in time and was now enrolled- NO! -the $132 was added to the trial price of the trial bottle as I had not cancelled within 14 days! She then offered me a special of $19 each if I continued with the product!!! As it doesn’t work for me at all I said NO!

  76. Further to my post on 1 Nov:
Hopefully I have a refund on the way!!!
After canceling the product I realised I was still in the 14 day trial period so after several emails and another call where I was VERY insistent and difficult(!!) they have agreed to refund NZ$270! Turns out the 14 day trial starts the day the product is ordered-not when it arrives!!! This IS stated in their terms and conditions- I think this is ridiculous- how can you trial a product you have not yet received!! The reason I was so determined to cancel and argue was the wording relating to being back charged for the trial product if you decide to keep it and continue with the program- effectively penalising those who want to be real customers or have been tricked by ambiguous wording and rewarding those trying to get something for free. My intention was to continue to use the products for 3 months-in which time according to the ad I would be so amazingly transformed I wouldn’t need it anymore!!! 😉 -but I was so angered by this business practice of trying to catch people out that I didn’t want to be involved anymore. Must say customer service WERE very prompt in replying to me 🙂

  80. It is NOT a month’s free trial. You have automatically signed up for an ‘introductory offer’ of 14 days from the date of your order and then into their ‘exclusive offer’ of 3 months of products. You have to ring up before the 14 days to cancel and supposedly you won’t be charged. So.. it’s legal because its written into their terms and conditions (you’ll need to search for those) but the offer is a definite SCAM. The cost of the products are triple the cost from anywhere else. The value they claim on the customs declaration is 1/3 what they’ve charged so that’s got to be fraudulent. You don’t receive the products until well after the 14 days. They pretend to have a bad line when you call and they send emails back pretending it couldn’t be delivered.. I cancelled mine over the phone as soon as I saw my card statement and STILL they will not confirm this cancellation in writing. The first thing I did was CANCEL my credit card. I would advise everyone to do the same. Believe in Karma and smile

  81. I too was scammed by these people as the rest of you, I signed up for the trial and it was not until I received my statement that I was aware that money was drawn out. First it was only $6.96 with a currency conversion fee of $ 0.21 on the 2/10/15 Then ON The 2/10/15 which is the day $7.07 with the same currency conversion fee. Then on the 15/10/15 $123.76 was taken out of my account as well as a currency conversion fee of $3.71 then on the 17/10/15 $122.30 as well as the normal currency conversion fee $3.67. Then the small amounts started on the 22/10/15 $2.71 with a conversion fee of $0.08 then the same day$2.49 with a conversion fe of $0.07 these amounts are from different companies. Such as naturalhealthhelp.com yourfitlife help.com slimmingywy.commynutrmbdy.com fstslmnw.com on the 30/10/15 another $132.04 as well as the conversion fee $3.96 the same day $133.95 and the same old conversion fee$4.02.Ihave cancled my subscription as well as my credit card. I think this is the only way to stop them

  82. SCAM SCAM SCAM…..Don’t even bother to waste your time with a so called FREE trial as charges on your credit card for overpriced goods appear well before the trial products arrive. First you get charged for postage then 5 days later I was charged for 2 products and the goods hadn’t even arrived. When the goods finally arrived some 28 days after I had foolishly decided to trial this offer I had been charged again for another 2 products. I phoned the numbers on there website after no response to emails and kept hounding them for a ‘return address’ to return the products for a refund. They will not give you a return address so I guess these Scum Bags work out of Back Street offices so not to be traced. They keep saying ‘you did not read the T & C but there was none on the trial offer so that is definitely is a way out for them. Keep phoning and hassle them but best advice is cancel your Credit Card. They have apparently stopped my subscription …..what subscription I didn’t sign up for that !!!! I am pursuing it further but they will not refund or except returned goods. More So the product doesn’t work. Surely somebody can stop this SCAM.

  88. I also fell for the free sample add for this product. The add I answered did not show anywhere that this was a trial offer with a time limit nor did it say anything about a subscription. I thought I had read it thoroughly just to be sure but I didn’t notice the T & C’s nor did I look for them. After all it was a “FREE SAMPLE”.
I received my samples a week after the dispatch date & have taken the tablets for 2 weeks, they don’t work… what a surprise. I did however receive 2 emails saying my next lot of tablets were dispatched. I immediately rang the Sydney numbe & spoke to an operator who informed me that when I accepted the free samples I had 16 days to cancel my subscription & since I did not do that the product was automatically sent & I have been charged. I was also told I was charged for the free samples. I argued they were not free samples if I have to apy for them but that got me no where. She did cancel my ‘subscription’ but the charges stay. She did say I could return unopened bottles for a refund. I did get an email advising me my account has been cancelled but nothing about a refund.
I contacted consumer affairs toady & they gave me an American web site I can complain to. It is FTG.Gov.
I have also cancelled my credit card so no further charges can be debited.
This was a bitter pill to swallow.. good luck, hope some of you get a refund.

So i contacted the number provided and asked if the 14 day trial period was from when the goods arrived. Told NO…….. i then question how long for delivery…….told 10 days. My next question was how would i know if the product would work in four days???? Told that my body would know in one day…….Ok so now the alarm bells start ringing. 12 days and no product…. Called up again and said i would like to cancel the order . Was offered the product for special price of $29.95, promptly said NO. Received an email cancellation but wasnt happy with where this was going.
    A. The details of the drawer from my bank were different than the details supplied when i first ordered.
    B. Contacted the bank and was told the only way to stop these payments being deducted was to cancel my card.
So I did. The tablets did arrived 16 days after ordering, Now i will get down to the task of seeing if they actually do what they say.

HOWEVER IF YOU HAVE ORDERED YOU MUST PHONE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE WITHIN THE 14 DAYS TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER / SUBSCRIPTION OR YOU WILL BE CHARGED EVERY MONTH. (Sending to the email customer service is a total waste of time, they bounce back)

BE SURE TO INSIST ON AN EMAIL REPLY CONFIRMING CANCELLATION. I GOT AN ANSWER BACK IMMEDIATELY TO CONFIRM THE CANCELLATION AS PER COPY BELOW, SO AT LEAST THEY HONOURED THAT.

  93. Thanks Jac for producing a well presented evaluation of the Garcinia Essentials Trial offer. The internet is full of such scams preying on people genuinely looking for ways to improve and help themselves etc.
I’ve been the victim of this scam a year or so ago so I know how many of you feel. There is no point going to the Police. They cannot do anything away. The best thing is to notify your bank asap and cancel your credit card. Embarrassing – perhaps but you’ll be surprised how many people are innocently caught out. But you need to put that aside and do whatever it takes to take back control in this situation. Some seem to have succeeded in getting refunds (of sorts) but it may be that you will just have to right off the money paid out and move on. As annoying as it is you can’t allow this bad experience to eat you up. Don’t let these unscrupulous rats affect you further. Take care everyone. Cheers.

  95. I had no idea this website existed (I was just looking for the benefits of Garcinia) and I was horrified to learn that so many of us have been scammed by Garcinia Essentials & Essentials Cleanse. The following email that I sent them on 5 January 2016 is self-explanatory.

    “Dear Sir,

I refer to the above orders which I placed on the 16th of December on a trial basis. On 22nd of December, I received the shipping notification that the products were shipped out to me on that day, see below.

As of today’s date, 5th January 2016 (THE POSTMAN HAS COME AND GONE), I have still not received my trial packages so I rang your Support Centre to advise them of this. It may well be that it was the wrong time to order these trial products because of the holiday period of Christmas and the New Year, hence the delay in receiving these products. So I rang your Support Representative this morning to advise her of this and in talking with her, I was horrified to learn that my credit card has already been deducted with the full price of these products because the 14 days were up. I HAVEN’T EVEN RECEIVED MY TRIAL ORDER TO BEGIN WITH, FOR GOODNESS’ SAKE.

To be fair to your overseas customers, especially when it normally takes longer than 14 days to receive a product from the States in the best of times, you will see from the emails below that I was advised the bottles were shipped on the 22nd of December and counting 14 days from the 22nd of December, that would be the 4th or 5th of January and I have even included the Christmas, Boxing Day and New Year holiday period where there are NO postal services.

I feel I am being very hard done by – I have not received the trial bottles, I have not had the chance to try them to see if they are up to their promise – no products, no chance, nothing BUT I have been charged the full price of nearly A$248+ for nothing!!!!

Can you please have a heart and look into this matter for me.

    I await your reply.””

Of course I didn’t receive any reply, had to send another email on the 8th to say that the trial products still hadn’t arrive and to please acknowledge my earlier email.

Today, 11 January 2016, the products finally arrived (and these are the trial products which were meant to cost A$13+ for shipping only). And like some of you, I have also been charged not only the full amount of A$248+ but also continuous small transaction fees from various companies.

I am going to take the advice of some of you and talk to my Bank to see what can be done, especially the transaction fees that keep on appearing on my card. When talking to the Customer Representative on the 5th, she made it out that it was all my fault for not calling within the 14 days but she would not listen when I kept on telling her that I received an email notification that the order was shipped on 22 December. Thankfully though in the end she cancelled my order and she sent me the same email advice that some of you had. So about A$300.- has gone down the drain and I doubt I will ever see it again. A very bitter pill to swallow in learning from your mistake.
