Garcinia Slim 500 trial scam

Garcinia Slim 500 trial scam

There is one weight loss ingredient that has been talked about more often over the past year than all the rest; Garcinia Cambogia.

Yet despite its undoubted weight loss benefits not all supplements that contain this ingredient have been good value for money.

Some simply don’t contain enough of the beneficial ingredient to make any difference to your weight, while others have been too expensive.

Whats worse are those supplements that hide their true cost from the public, with many people signing up for a ‘free trial’ only to receive a huge bill once the trial ends.

Garcinia Slim 500 caught my attention following a spam email that I received, in this review I am going to look at this supplement in more detail to see if it is a scam or is recommended for use alongside your current diet and exercise regime.

Claimed benefits of Garcinia Slim 500

The following claims have been made on the Garcinia Slim 500 website:

  • Burn fat and lose weight
  • Control your cravings
  • Decrease your belly fat
  • Reduce calorie intake by 25%

These claimed benefits certainly sound impressive but we would need to look at what ingredients have been used before we can verify how accurate they are.

Ingredients of Garcinia Slim 500

Garcinia Slim 500 claims to contain 1650 mg of Garcinia Cambogia (50% HCA) in each dose, which is incredible.

It also contains Resveratrol, Chromium and Acai Berry, which are all proven to aid your own weight loss efforts. It is just a shame that there is no mention of what dosages there are of these added ingredients.

You would think that having gone through the effort of listing how much Garcinia Cambogia is present that they would do the same for the other ingredients.

Without this information how do you know how effective the supplement is, or indeed how safe it is.

Chromium for example has been linked to both kidney problems and liver damage.

Price of Garcinia Slim 500

Like so many other supplements available as a trial Garcinia Slim 500 does not list any of its prices on its sales page.

To find out this important information you will have to read their terms and conditions.

The cost of Garcinia Slim 500 is £59.95, which will be charged to you at the conclusion of the 14 day trial. Unlike many other trial offers there is no mention of any auto shipping, though you should urge on the side of caution if you have signed up to this offer.

Is Garcinia Slim 500 a scam?

Although not a scam, Garcinia Slim 500 is not recommended either.

It may contain dangerous ingredients and hiding its cost from consumers is not good going to win them many friends, especially those who are subsequently charged the full price of the supplement without even realising.

How to contact Garcinia Slim 500?

To cancel your Garcinia Slim 500 trial you will need to phone 0800 211 8457.

They also have an email address support@garciniaslim500.com

The address for returns is (phone beforehand to cancel):

Garcinia Slim 500, PO Box 13585, Linlithgow, EH49 9AR

If you have signed up for this trial then we would love to hear from you, leave us a comment below.

Alternative to Garcinia Slim 500

A proven alternative to Garcinia Slim 500 is Garcinia Pure, a supplement made from 1000 mg of pure Garcinia Cambogia in each capsule, with 60% HCA.

You can buy this supplement for £39.99 for a months supply, which is cheaper than Garcinia Slim 500. It is available to buy outright with no subscription to any auto ship program.

  1. I have been caught out in the Garcinia Slim 500 scam – I entered what I thought was the trial (did not find out that you have to cancel within 14 days) and have now been sent another bottle, at the cost of £69.95! Have now cancelled by phone (operator most unhelpful) and told that even if I return the bottle I will not be refunded the money. This company sails very close to the wind and it is interesting that it will only give a POB number as its address and refuses to name its CEO.
Had I not found your website, I wouldn’t even have found a phone number, as this is not mentioned on their website or despatch note.
I shall tell everyone to steer well clear of Garcinia Slim 500 and report them to the OFT.

I’ve reported the fraud to my bank and they’ll not be able to get any more cash but I want a refund. The tel. no. above is a car hire company, so I’m told.
I’m at a loss now as to what I can do, feel free to e-mail me if you have any success and I would talk to Watchdog.

Phoned them up straight away and they told me i could not have my money back because i did not cancell . Was not aware i had signed up to anything except trail of 2 bottles ie Garcinia 500 plus cleanse tablets. so angry they can get away with this as i can not afford £85 for slimming tablets. not what i agreed to. My sister also spoke to the same man as i did and got the same answer, so rude and not helpfull at all. My invoice note said they came from holland, so be very carefull, i wont get done again.

    • I filled in some details on their website and got a message come up saying that my card had not been charged. 10 days later the pills have arrived. As above there is no contact detail on the despatch note and when I asked the lady on the phone about this she said they were in my original email – what email??? When I called them the lady said “won’t keep you a minute” and the phone went quiet for 5 minutes until she came back on. I cancelled the auto-renew but just to be safe I have also cancelled my credit card and asked for a new one. Even if these pills are 100% legitimate they certainly don’t fill you with confidence – AVOID

    • I agree it is very confusing, however if you read the terms and conditions you are notified about the conclusion to your 14-day free trial and offers customer support via email and telephone, if you wish to withdraw (before getting charged). With any free trial, such as Netflix, they all proceed by giving you the product at the normal price, so before declaring this a scam, read all the website has to offer !!

    • I too have been caught out in the Garcinia Slim 500 scam – I ENTERED WHAT Ii THOUGH T WAS THE TRIAL AND DID NOT FIND OUT THAT YOU HAVE TO CANCEL WITHIN 14 DAYS UNTIL THEY TOOK A FURTHER £85 FROM MY ACCOUNT..Apparently the £4.95 I paid originally was for postage and packing and the £85 is the full cost of the product. I have not been sent any further tablets. They are fraudulently using another company’s name called Lifeplus for billing and this name appears on my bank statement. Lifeplus have nothing to do with the scam and i am providing them with details so that their legal department can deal with their name being used fraudulently. My bank say there is nothing I can do but have put a stop on any further transactions being made, but they did provide me with a phone number. I have cancelled my subscription with the company but interestingly they refused to give me their address, although it is on the website for Garcinia Slim 500.

i will also report them to the OFT

      • Snap! I’ve been caught out too, luckily my bank rang me this morning to inform me of a transaction of £85 which they had stopped, pending my confirmation that this amount of money was to go through! They are now calling themselves ‘ Bio-Resist ‘ this is what my bank had told me! There was No declaration or Info on the Despatch note of having the option to cancel within 14 days! In fact I did’nt receive my products till the 8/7/15 and they were already trying to take £85 out of my account. The bank has now cancelled my card as a safety precaution.

Have also bought into the so called free trial. I have just cancelled a day after buying in. The lady at customer services told me it is not a free trial but a 14 day trial period which once over the 14 days I would be charged full 65 pound price. ??????
I cancelled free period and she has confirmed via email and ensures no more money will be removed from my Acc. When the product turns up I do not need to return . I recorded the call. Let’s hope it’s all good

I ordered the two products for £4.95 each for my friend and no where on the paperwork did it mention anything about cancelling within fourteen days. I have just received two packages of these pills with charges of £65.00 and £60.00 I phoned the company on 08002118457and talked to a man who said I didn’t cancel within the fourteen days but would cancel now. However they have taken the money out of my account. AND surprise won’t refund it. There are no mention of these terms on the original paperwork but there is a new paragraph on the new paper work with this phone number. THIS IS ONE BIG SCAM . I’m going to report the OFT and everyone else I can think of. I’m not going to let this go. If anyone else wants to join me in the endeavour to right this wrong please contact me.

The trial product didnt work anyway and I am furious to find that I have received another bottle and been charged £85. I have cancelled my ‘order’ and am going to ask my bank to block any attempts they make to get any more money from me. Its a bad scam but they are relying on people not reading the small print – classic con.

I have been able to cancel further deliveries/charges but have still to try and reclaim £165. If ONLY these people (I purchased via a company in Holland, who appear to be untouchable). I have even repored the case to “Watchdog” in the hope a wider audience may be reached in the hope these companies can be blacklisted.

    • Am not at all happy with this company as they put one price up front (£4.95) and then took £85 out of my bank incurring bank charges which my husband had to pay, as I am self employed trying to start my own business. They are also working with another company called Nature’s Answer Cleanse and Detox which product they recommended to use in conjunction with the above, so I bought that too and was billed P&P for £9.90 for the two items. I stopped my bank card after the first £85 was taken out but not in time to avoid being billed another £80, total amount £160 + bank overdraft costs. I have derived no benefits what so ever from using the stuff and am extremely upset to have been so taken in. I have today spoken to Trading Standards who were most helpful. In short if a purchase is made at distance, as in “on-line” the 14 days cancellation does not count but you have 12 months in which to claim back your money. If the company refuse, provided you have proof of purchase, you can go to your bank and ask for your money back under the Charge Back Scheme.

  6. My experience was exactly the same. I received the email initially from a friend, with the comment “I thought you might like to try this”. She has since said that her email was hacked and she knew nothing about it. Receiving a message like this from a trusted source, I was unaware that this was a scam and ordered a free trial. I saw nothing about the necessity to cancel the trial and was subsequently billed for two lots of Garcinia capsules, at a cost of £69.95 each! The advice from Citizens Advice Bureau is firstly to make the bank aware and secondly to send a recorded letter to Garcinia asking for a refund, since they have broken the law of breach of contract. On their invoice (in very tiny writing) it states “You’ve only been billed for postage and packing for this trial sample”, yet my credit card was debited twice for £69.95.
My sympathies to all those others caught in this scam.

Got screwed too 🙁 bought the trial, didn’t know it was a trial, but also got charged for their “newsletter” $0.49 TWICE, fought it with my bank and got my money back – HOWEVER – My bank had done an investigation in regards to my first dispute and found that the merchant reserved the right to represent the item on production of sufficient evidence to support their claim. Mind you the only evidence is when they take my name and acc changed the $9.99 to $109.99!

So they took the money back out and gave it back to garcini slim plus charged me $12 fee for doing so. Needless to say I’m changing banks also

  22. I also surprised myself by falling for this. I was not alerted to the terms and conditions which would take all day to read. Told it was a secure site but I wasn’t even given confirmation that my order was placed until I received an email. Took 7 days to arrive. After reading some reviews about customers being charged for cancellation, I first contacted my bank and put a block on this company taking any more money from me. I then rang 0880 211 8457 and cancelled the trial. I have to say it was cancelled straight away and I was told no further money will be taken from my account. I got an email to confirm my cancellation, which of course included a special offer if i didn’t give up ha ha. Needless to say I won’t be taking them up on it. Hope this helps.

  26. BioTrim Laboratories appears to be a subsidiary trading company owned by California Natural Products in California. The registered address of California Natural Products is: 1250 Lathrop Rd, Lathrop, CA 95330 USA. Their office contact number is : 001-209-858-2525. Other links are: cnp.com and californianatural.com. They have a Biotrim Laboratory based in Scotland, the address of which is: BioTrim Labs: Attn: Returns Department P.O. Box 13583, Linlithgow, West Lothian, EH49 9AP, UK. This appears to be simply a returns depot. The PO Box appears to be located in a large Royal Mail depot on an anonymous business park. Whether Biotrim is located in the same park is not known but given the number of small business units surrounding the Royal Mail’s sorting office it would make sense if they were close by. If anyone who has been affected by the Biotrim scam lives in the area it might prove interesting to have a scrute around the estate! The business estate, incidentally is located just off Mill Road, Linliithgow adjacent to the M9. A search of company records at Company House shows that no such company as Biotrim Laboratories is registered in the UK suggesting tht it is simply a trading subsidiary. Interestingly there is a Biotrim operation in the Netherlands (the home of many scam-based enterprises!) the contact details for which are: Wilgenpad 3, GRONINGEN, 9741BZ, Netherlands Tel +31 6 19701154. What is interesting, however, is that CNP has got serious previous. In 2005 they were fined $2.1 million by the Federal Trade Commission in the US for making bogus claims about the efficacy of their ‘slimming products’. So no change then! Hope my input is of some assistance to those who have been scammed. Good luck.

I read before hand this review that one woman in a fitness class had chosen to do it and believed it, however i am only on my second day of starting both pills with garcinia once in the morning and the detox pill once at night. With the price i was only charged £4.95 for each bottle and havent been charged any suprise cost yet. I will post back soon to see if using both pills works

I had to wait till they arrived they said when I called and when I got them back called to get RMA and ups this with tracking this time and they were returned to me saying address was wrong. WheN I emailed them they said they had no access to my card due to the dispute I was doing with my bank. Once that was resolved they would refund me. My bank found in their favor and they will not return my other money saying they can still access my account. I am out almost $400.

  33. I ordered a FREE bottle of this together with their other product – Natures Answer Cleanse and Detox – both were meant to be FREE for a limited time with only £4.95 shipping to pay for each.

They take the Shipping cost as 2 payments, this is so they can fraudulently take further payments twice!

They took £85 and £80 from my Bank Account with no permissions.

There were no Terms and Conditions stated on where I ordered or where I put the Card Details in.

I currently have my Bank looking into this and have had to cancel my Bank card and get a new one issued in case they try to take further payments.

I have also reported them to the Advertising Standards Agency.

Don’t get scammed by these people it’s very costly!

    • I had this same thing happen to me too. they hit my account for the 89.95 a bottle. I got the garcinia slim and elite green coffee. If you paid by a card linked to your bank account. Go into your bank account and click on the item where it is charged. If you look carefully there is a phone number there to call. I called them and told them that I was an attorney and began to tell them how fradulent their site and company was.. I said I would start that day having them investigated with law enforcement if that money was not put back into my account. YOu could tell that she was scared.. I also commented that it was false advertising to say you had 14 days to try this product when your 14 days started before you ever got the product.. Needless to say the charges to my card dropped off my account… these people need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. If you check any of these types of ads.. go to terms and conditions.. way down in the fine print you wil see what you will really be charged and that it is an auto ship product.. DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY! Im sure you have all seen the ads on FB for this miraculous aging cream used by all the stars,, under different names.. but if you look close you will see the same womens pictures on all of them.. STAY AWAY.. again check terms and conditions..

  43. Well, having been scammed by this company to the tune of £90 I decided I would do something about it. I wrote to the citizens advice bureau, phoned Garciniaslim500. Customer service and complained mightily (no help there, just told me no returns, no money back). Wrote nasty letter to GarciniaSlim500 threatening them with fair trade people, citizens advice. I put this website with the above reviews on Facebook as well and sent it to public! Then I went on trust pilot and wrote a scathing review of their business methods, gave it only one star (could not give it none) and sent the review to GarciniaSlim500. I am incensed by their bad practice.

It worked! I got an email this morning saying they have returned the £85 to my bank account. I promised to write another review on trust pilot about this. Which I have done. Just wanted to say that it is possible to get a refund but you have to really work at it. Don’t let them get away with it! Phone them, email them, threaten them. They should not get away with this unethical practice.

  45. I have received a very detailed reply from the Citizens Advice Bureau. It seems, from what I gather test this company are breaking the law by not sending a letter or email detailing the agreement and by taking a second amount out if bank accounts without the permission of the customer. Also the banks are probably at fault by letting the company do this. I am going to clarify this with my bank.

I wrote several letters to the company telling them what sharks they are etc etc. I also threatened them with the Fair Trading people and the finance ombudsman and told them that I had asked the CAB to investigate. Yesterday they sent me an email saying they were reimbursing the £85! So it lays to hassle and threaten them. Below is a copy of the letter sent to me this afternoon by the Citizens Advice Bureau: my advice is to ring the company up, write them threatening emails and don’t give up!!! Good luck!

    Dear Ms Quemby

    Thank you for your email

We understand from your email that you are trying to establish your legal position after experiencing problems with a trial of slimming pills you have been charged £85 for.

    Your rights and obligations:

Some simple contracts involving a trader (business) and a consumer (private individual) are governed by at least one piece of legislation which will provide the consumer with their statutory rights; or their implied rights under UK civil law.

Therefore in addition to your basic contractual rights you should be aware that when a consumer enters into a contract with a trader by means of a distance communication (telephone, internet, mail order etc.) without any prior face to face negotiations, they will generally have rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

These regulations, which we abbreviate to the ‘ICAC’ regulations, came in to effect on 13th June 2014, and in simple terms state that a consumer should be made aware in writing of the trader’s name and address; what they have agreed to; the full costs the consumer will be expected to pay, and if they do have a change of mind and cancel after a certain point they will be liable for certain fees. Subsequently if the consumer is not made aware of this in a durable form they could look to hold the trader in breach of contract and pursue them for a suitable form of redress; such as a full refund of any monies already paid.

Please note any information on a website would not be the same as information provided in a durable form. This is because information published on a website could be edited at any stage. Furthermore, you should be aware that when there is a dispute between a trader and consumer in this type of contract; the onus is on the trader to prove that they have supplied all the relevant information in a durable form.

You can read more about the ICAC Regulations here.

    Your next steps:

Bearing in mind the information detailed above; if you have never been sent any information from the trader by email, letter etc outlining your contractual obligations and your cancellations rights are; you should consider sending the trader a further recorded delivery letter, outlining everything to date, and giving a deadline to resolve the matter within a set period of time (e.g. 14 days). Make it very clear what you expect from the trader and why. It is also worth enclosing copies of any documentation that would help you substantiate your claim and retaining copies of everything sent, for your records.

Template letters can be found at here . In this case, the letter named ‘Letter cancelling a distance sale to buy goods – on or after 13 June 2014’ would be most suitable.

When using the template letters it is important that you follow the online instructions carefully. In addition, once the letter has been generated it will also require further editing, in order to make it clear to the trader what the nature of your complaint is.

Sending letters by recorded delivery will allow you to track the letter using the ‘Recorded Signed For’ label the post office supply you with; to make sure the intended recipient receives the letter. As such, they would be unable to claim that you have never attempted to make them aware of your intentions should they fail to comply with your request; refuse to accept delivery; or fail to offer a response.

Furthermore, because debits should only be allowed to be taken from a bank or credit account with the account holders consent; you should also consider approaching your card issuer. This is because a debit should only be allowed to be taken from a bank or credit account if there is a Continuous Payment Authority (CPA) in place; which is similar but not identical to a direct debit or standing order set up with the account holder’s authorization. In order for payments to be debited from a card without a CPA, the card holder would have to sign a card receipt, input the relevant PIN number into a PDQ machine or disclose the security code on the back of the card every time payment is taken by means of a distance; such as over the internet, telephone etc.

Therefore, when a trader debits money from an account without obtaining the relevant authorization, the account holder would have the right to go back to their bank or card issuer and request that they investigate the transaction(s) further. As such it would be advisable to back up a request to your card issuer in writing, outlining what has happened and request that the matter is resolved in a timely manner.

The reason we suggest sending letters to your card issuer, is just in case they fail to accept liability. Having a record of your correspondence would help you escalate a claim with the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), which provides consumers with a free, independent service for resolving disputes with financial firms. They can consider complaints about a wide range of financial matters including banking, insurance, mortgages, loan companies and the Payment Service Regulations.

You can find more information on the role of the FOS via their website –click here for further information.

    Criminal Offence:

If you haven’t received the information of the contract in writing outlined in the ICAC regulations then this could be considered a criminal offence under the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, the information you have provided will be passed to Cambridgeshire Trading Standards for further consideration. The case details will also be placed on a central data base that can be accessed by all the other Trading Standards throughout the UK.

With this in mind Trading Standards would usually only contact you or this service if they need further information for their enforcement purposes; or they felt they could be of further assistance.

But I have just booked a holiday for 6 weeks time, and when this popped up on a Facebook related advert I thought as a quick boost to lose a few pounds along with exercise and diet I would give it a go. Unfortunately, I should know better, but didn’t read the small print. And I am the first to say nothing in life is free! So I am so pleased I looked on this site to see all the reports of money being taken for ‘ free ‘ trial. I have called the company on the 0800 number given on my order, I got through quite quickly. They have cancelled my order with immediate effect, and have said they will refund my postage. I have received emails to confirm this. So hopefully they will, I will be watching ng statements closely. Thank you all for sharing your experiences, you have potentially saved me a lot of hassle. Anything that offers TWO products on trial…scroll to the last page, read the terms and conditions it will tell you that they will auto bill you for hundreds of pounds… that is the only pounds you will lose! THINK LOGICALLY, if there was a miracle berry to make you slim, why would America have all these giant fatties wobbling about, eating burgers? Why would millionaires and billionaires have liposuction?

Don’t be a sucker like me, I will never recommend this product. If you don’t cancel within 14 days you will be charged £85 for the first bottle -which is meant to be a free trial?!?! I’m not sure if there is any way I can get my money back but they’ve really screwed me over at the worst time. I called them couple of times and they cancelled my subscription and hung up on me whenever I asked them to refund my money. Today after reading the comments I contacted my bank and explained them everything in detail. They have blocked the trader so that they cannot take any more money plus I have disputed the amount which the bank is going to take up with them and refund it to my account. I also sent an email to Gracinia500 threatening them of legal actions and contacting CAB, Fair trading. I then contacted the customer service number again and threatened them to take this legally. They straightaway refunded 50% of the amount on my card but I told them I am not happy and want full refund which my credit card fraud team is dealing. I have again sent them another email saying I want the other half of the refund. I hope they refund the remaining money. Lesson learnt! Robing twats!

You do not see their T & C until they send you a confirmation order e-mail ,but you have to click onto them and it states there that after 14 days you will be charged £85.When you phone them it takes a few minutes to get an answer.

After that total waste of a phone call, I called my bank, who has put in a form for both companies so no further card paymernt will be made, but alsok put me through to disputes department who are taking my case to these Scammers to fight for a refund of my £80 plus the two payments of £4.95 taken from them intially. Will know in 3 days if I have been successful in getting full refund. The bank is also going to keep a watch over my accout for 3 month to make sure noithing else gets taken out.

I went on holiday for the whole of august and came back to two payments of £85.00 taken from my bank account. I contacted the bank and they explained I may have been conned into a contract. I contacted the company after reading the site but no joy there. Told no refund and posting more pills, told them I won’t accept any postage from them but told they will still charge me. contacted bank and have put a stop on more payments going through. these are real con men, will keep trying to get my money reimbursed. Feel annoyed with the bank as I had not given them permission in writing i.e. direct debit for these people. May have a go at them too.

Advised even if I returned the product I wouldn’t get my money back. As they say BUYER BEWARE especially when dealing with company.

I was also scammed by this Company, I emailed them 1 day before the 14 day trial period ended cancelling the account, I received a reply from them acknowledging this and confirming that no further money would be taken from my account and no further deliveries would be made. 3 days later £85 was taken from my account but no further supplies delivered. I emailed them again request that the £85 was paid back into my account, they informed me that as I hadn’t cancelled within the 14 day period as per their terms and conditions they were entitled to take the money, I sent a further copy of my email dated 25/09/2015 and their acknowledgement of the same date, the 14 day period ended on 26/09/2015 so was within 14 days, they are now refusing to acknowledge any emails or phone calls from myself. 84. I have been caught in the Garcinia Slim 500 scam as have others on this website! I entered what I thought was the trial and paid for the shipping of 2 bottles which is all that I was asked to do. I did not find out that you have to cancel within 14 days as this was not detailed on their website and the only place this is noted is if you click on the terms & conditions link at the very bottom of their email receipt. I have now been charged for the full two bottles. This stupid product caused bloating and I threw it away. So I can no longer even return it. I have canceled, but I am out the cost of the two bottles and have been charged £ 70 for 1 bottle and £ 80 for the other. Does anyone have advice on how to get my money back? I did call them an cancel and I will not have any further charges…but it is ridiculous that I am paying for the product that does not work, makes you feel bloated and that I threw away after 5 days. Such a scam. I will never be caught again!

Charged £85 then £80 rang Bank and put a stop on my account but was told that another £85 had been taken and they could not stop it going out!!! If the writer above is correct, how can the bank just keep paying a scam company without me signing a direct debit CPA or standing order??? If I had not stopped my account today would they have just kept removing regular £85 from my account?

    Previous comment wrote:-
Because debits should only be allowed to be taken from a bank or credit account with the account holders consent; you should also consider approaching your Bank or card issuer.

I’m going back to my bank and ask about the CPA I had NOT signed and why the paid these thieves a further non authorised £85 today.

This matter has made me physically sick today and buying Christmas presents for my family very bleak this year £250 is a lot of money to lose when I’m on a strict pensioner budget.
These robbing bastards must have no conscience at all. I hope they rot in Hell one day.

  89. Dear Sally, You have my full sympathy. I share your experience. I only asked for the Free Trial offer on 4th Oct. Did not see the link notice. Received (a full months supply instead of 14days’)
I was charged £4.95 p&p twice, but both bottles were delivered in one envelope on 10th Oct.
My Credit Card Account statement showed two unauthorised charges (£85.00 and £80.00), plus £9.90 for postage & packing were made on 22nd Oct. by Garcia Slim 500 and Nature’s Answer Cleanse & Detox. They did not even wait for the 14days’ trial period. I would NOT have ordered a further product, as I put on weight, instead of losing it!! Yes, the whole thing is a SCAM. It is a FRAUD. I am a pensioner. I simply could not effort to lose such amount of money. I had no knowledge about the cost of the product or the link to warn me about the conditions.
I did not expect such poor standards from a Dutch company. I worked many years for KLM. I expected some decency of at least offering me the full compensation. No such luck!!
So, be warned everybody. Stay clear of this trial offer

This is the number I rang 08002118457 and spoke to Marie Colli who said she could not help me with a refund and that the only way I might be able to get a refund would be to email her manager Sandra Roberts on this email support@garciniaslim500.com. Marire Colli said she was only able to refund me £42.50 herself and I would have to wait to hear back from the manager. ASK FOR MARIA COLLI AND ATLEAST YOU WILL GET £42.50 BETTER THAN NO REFUND

It has been a week now and still struggling constantly on my mind. Same story signed up for trial after seeing Kate Middleton so call used it. After 2nd lot arrived of the product and also the cleanse product , I saw cost on delivery note. Rang them straight away. Told usual could not return or be refunded. They have taken £85 for product and £80 for cleanse but taken it twice total £330.00. Also I told them why have I been charged for 2 lots . First was free and I have only receive one other order since. She said first lot not free they have charged me for that as well. Some of the comments on here go back to 2014 ! Nearly a year old and this company is still scamming people and nothing seems to have been done. I will try not to let this £330 lost ruin my Christmas for me and my family. This experience will stay with me for a long time and feel I will never trust any I see again. If anyone had any luck getting any money back or reply from watch dog please let us know. I bet this company had no problem sleeping at night but I do because of them. Bet they have a great Xmas with all our money but things will be tight for me. Also I am losing weight through worrying but not through their product!!

It worked! After sending them a few emails I have managed to get half -£40.00&£42.50 as a ‘good will gesture’! Better than nothing!
But I learned a very important lesson – there are no “free” offers in the internet and there are enough people who want to play on our greed and carelessness! Be careful and good luck to everybody!

  99. I was conned by these people who despatched the bottles from The Netherlands. Despite this being a ‘free’ trial, my credit card was charged £85 and £80 14 days after the initial P & P charges.
I was away on holiday at the time and then 14 days later they charged another £85 and £80 to my credit card.
As soon as I was aware of this I sent letters to the addresses on the bottle and despatch note AND also contacted my bank, Nationwide, to dispute these 4 transactions.
They sent a form to complete together with any evidence ( screen shots of the website) and eventually 10 weeks later, the transactions were removed.
So don’t just moan, start writing and get your bank involved as the Dutch companies are breaking EU Online Fair Trading regulations in not making it clear at the onset of the true cost of the pills.

  104. I have also been scammed. Wish I had found this website b4 I made my purchase. But all is not lost. Fortunately I know my consumer rights. Firstly, the following comments will be helpful to know if you made your original purchase by credit card. Under the Consumer Credit Act 1974, your right to dispute any purchase is protected. If, like me, you purchased the trial product without realising that you would be billed larger sums of money at a later date, then you are within your rights to dispute the payment(s). Notwithstanding that the terms and conditions sent by email AFTER you have made your purchase refer to a “legally binding contract”, under English Law there is no legally binding contract, and this is because any contract under English Law requires ALL parties to be FULLY AWARE of ALL Terms of the “contract” PRIOR to making any purchase. It is illegal to make someone feel bound to a contract they were not aware BEFORE they made the purchase. Report the scam to your credit card provider and they will take up the dispute on your behalf and reimburse your monies. I have just called Garcinia Slim to explain that I would not be honouring any further payments, and told them thT I had reported heir scam to my credit card company who would be collecting the monies back from them. I also told them that heir contract was illegal under English Law. The confirmed they would not be taking any more money and acknowledged that my credit card company would be taking back the monies (except the original £4.95 that I had agreed to,, and didn’t argue with my comment about their contract being illegal. Power to the consumer!
