TOWIE star Gemma Collins has been in the news following her recent weight loss success having gone from a size 22 to an 18, with a weight loss of 3 1/2 stone in just 3 months.
Speaking to Now Magazine the 34 year old has revealed the secret to her weight loss.
Why did she decide to lose weight?
Despite her struggles with her weight being well-documented in the past her latest weight loss attempt was spurred on during recent filming of TOWIE.
“I’d lost a bit of weight with 3D Lipo, but we all put on weight filming. There’s a lot of sitting around, eating crisps.I wanted to do something positive. My weight loss made me want to become healthier.”
She also noted how her mothers failing health had given her reason to lose a few excess pounds.
“I’ve also seen the health of my mum [Joan] deteriorate she’s had a knee op and is in a wheelchair at the moment. It scares me about my future. I have to get my weight down or I’ll end up in a wheelchair, too.”
So how has Gemma Collins lost weight?
Although she has confessed to a little liposuction the reason given by Gemma Collins for her weight loss was a visit to a hypnotist called Robert Hisee, who using hypnosis put a hypno gastric band on Gemma.
Unlike traditional gastric bands, this process does not need surgery, but instead plants suggestions into her subconscious telling her what and how much to eat.
“Now I have four mouthfuls of food and can’t eat any more. I feel like I can’t breathe I’m so full. Whatever he’s done, it’s bloody worked. For the first time, I don’t wake up wondering what I’ll eat that day.”
As well as visiting the hypnotist Gemma has also admitted to visiting a personal trainer daily as well as committing to cutting out her usual drinking habits.
Is she pleased with her results?
Gemma is of course happy with her results, although she would like to continue until she reaches a size 14.
Whether she is able to remains to be seen, but we must admit that we are pleased to see such a positive change. Hopefully she will be able to maintain her weight loss, even with her reservations.
“I’m petrified this feeling will wear off as it’s too good to be true.”
