Kirstie Allsopp, the presenter of Location, Location, Location has recently revealed how she has managed to lose 2 stone.
Speaking to Chris Evans on his BBC Radio 2 show, she admitted to having an “unhealthy” relationship with food and that her filming schedules have lead to weight gain.
“I put on two stone between 40 to 44, 45.”
“I blame this totally on my work because being on the road, on location, is very unhealthy.”
“The crew eat like gannets [and] there’s always food everywhere.
“There are crisps, bacon sarnies and Haribos.”
“Its cold, so you eat because its cold, and you eat late at night.”
“You’re in pubs and hotels and it’s just not healthy.”
However, after enlisting the help of celebrity nutritionist Amelia Freer, who has worked with Boy George and James Corden she has managed to lose 2 stone after making changes to both her diet and exercise regime.
Kirstie had this to say about Amelia Freer:
“She’s amazing. I read her books, took her advice and went to see her. It’s all about maintenance and it’s totally easy to keep up.”
What changes did she make?
To lose weight, Kirstie was asked to cut out processed foods, sugars and alcohol, which helped her drop from a size 16 dress size to a 12.
Other methods that Amelia Freer tends to use include encouraging her clients to reassess their relationship with food and to embrace a healthier attitude towards it.
Having looked at the weight loss results experienced by Kirstie Allsopp I can certainly see why she is so successful and has so many celebrity clients.
