For some of us weight loss will simply be too hard and unfortunately this will mean that you will never achieve your goal weight.

Tip #1: Start your meal with a glass of water
Not only is water free of calories but it can help fill you up before eating, which will in turn stop you from overeating.
Tip #2: Make simple food swaps
There are certain food swaps that you can make that can save you hundreds of daily calories without affecting the taste of your food.
For instance, you could opt for fresh fruit instead of those packets of dried fruit, as these often are covered in artificial sweeteners or sugar.
Tip #3: Have dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate
Dark chocolate is a healthier option so reach for it the next time you feel like treating yourself.
Tip #4: Portion control
You don’t have to measure everything out exactly, but you may want to try using smaller plates, which will be a good visual signal that you have eaten enough.
Tip #5: Move around more
If you do not have time or the money to join the gym you could simply make the decision to move around a little more.
If you take the bus to work get off a stop early so that you can walk the rest of the way, or perhaps you could take the stairs rather than the lift. There will be plenty of opportunities throughout the day that you can use to burn calories.
Tip #6: Watch what you drink
A common problem for dieters who watch what they eat is that they forget to note down the calories consumed through their drinks.
Unsurprisingly caffeinated soft drinks are best avoided, as well as those that contain creams, milk and sugar.
Water really is the best option if your aim is to lose weight.
Tip #7: Don’t starve yourself
If you skip meals in order to treat yourself to a high-calorie dessert then I suggest you stop.
Of course the occasional treat wont harm, the danger is that these ‘treats’ will become the norm.
Tip #8: Eat high protein or fibre snacks
Instead of eating your usual high calorie, sugar-laden snacks instead reach for those high in protein or fibre.
These contain fewer calories and will fill you up. As they are slow to digest too they will help keep you full until your next mealtime, without the need to reach for more snacks.
Tip #9: Don’t eat too late
If you want to avoid digestion and sleep issues during the night I suggest that you eat no later than 2 hours before bed.
Tip #10: Get more sleep
This may be a strange suggestion, but if you are getting less than the recommended 7-8 hours sleep per night you may find that you snack more during the daytime.
