Should you sign up for the Lean Fast trial?

Should you sign up for the Lean Fast trial?

If you are currently worrying about your weight you may be desperate enough to try any seemingly miracle product.

Over the past year or so there have been an increase in supplements containing Raspberry Ketones and Green Coffee Beans.

One such product is Lean Fast, which is available as a risk-free trial. This makes the supplement incredibly tempting but before you take the plunge perhaps you should read the following review.

Claimed benefits of Lean Fast

The following claims have been made on the Lean Fast website:

  • Burn stored fat
  • Lose your cravings
  • Retain muscle mass
  • Stop feeling hungry

Now, these claims are pretty standard and are similar to many other products on the market. Before we can verify them we would first need to look at what ingredients are found in the Lean Fast formula.

Ingredients of Lean Fast

Lean Fast contains Raspberry Ketone, Green Coffee Beans and Acai Berries, which if found in the right dosages will help with your weight loss efforts.

Unfortunately there is no mention of what dosages there are of each of these ingredients so there is no way of knowing what effects if any will be experienced.

Cost of Lean Fast

A risk-free trial offer does not mean that it costs nothing to try. Lean Fast for example will cost between £4 to £10 just for the initial postage.

Once the 14 day trial has concluded you will then be charged £94.97, which is simply extortionate and much more than you should be paying.

To make matters worse, signing up for this trial offer also means that you have signed up for an auto ship program where you will continue to be charged every month for new packages until your membership is cancelled.

Is Lean Fast a scam?

Lean Fast may not be doing anything illegal, they have covered themselves in their terms and conditions. However this is not to say that this supplement is recommended, far from it in fact.

The supplement is too expensive, there is no information on the dosages of each ingredient and the signing up of any auto ship program is certainly not recommended.

Alternative to Lean Fast

If you want to buy a Raspberry Ketone supplement then my recommendation is Raspberry Ketone Plus, which is sold online for £19.95 from the Evolution Slimming website.

This supplement lists its ingredients and is much more affordable than those being offered as a trial.

  2. Must admit I am now very worried after reading this, I am trying to cancel my so called free trial, it states it is a 14 day trial, but this is not the case, the 14 days starts from date of ordering so after shipping you only get about 8 days. and also I didn’t realise that you had to pay all that money after, it wasn’t until I clicked that the extra amount became clear

  3. Yes I have also been charged two lots of £94 for this as of this morning. Did not realise 14 days is from date of order not the six days later you get it. I have sent an email asking as I’m only one day over will they consider a part refund if I sent it back prompt recorded delivery. I will keep you updated.

    • Apparently they like tracked mail and you will be lucky to get a penny back if over 14 days. How they get away with calling it a 14 day trial I don’t know as it is more like 5 to 7 days, I know of people who have sent back within the time and still not received refund. If this occurs your bank should get involved for you….

  4. I ordered this product on the 6th June, also not realizing that the 14 days starts from the day of order. So on the 26th June when I still hadn’t received the product I called to find out where it had got to, they apologized and resent, that was all good. Then when I looked at my account that day I saw the £94 had been taken ( I hadn’t even realised it was that much money). Obviously I freaked because £94 to me is the difference between eating and paying bills for 2 weeks. So I called them up and the lady on the phone said because I called before and wanted the product resent she couldn’t refund me the money, at this point I’m fuming so I told her to stick her pills all I want is that money back ! Luckily by saying that I didn’t want the product I got out of the subscription and she said they’d refund the money however that didn’t include the £10 I spent on post & packaging for the trial, so in the end I spent £10 and received absolutely nothing ! I am also still waiting on the money to go back into my account. This may be legal but its a scam all the same, either that or a very poorly managed company. On the plus side I learnt a lesson don’t buy things on the internet from a company you don’t know well. I will keep you updated to say whether they refunded me the money.

  9. TOTAL RIP OFF….. But if you paid using barclaycard you might be in luck. Having just been charged an extra £84.97 and had a monthly debit set up on my card without my permission I contacted barclaycard who set up a conference call to lean fast. I demanded a full refund for breach of contract and basically trying to rip me off. They tried offering me a 25% refund then a 50% refund but sticking to my guns and after the 20 minute call with the barclaycard dude backing me up they have refunded me the £84.97. If you don’t return the sample within 14 days they will charge you the full amount and set up a standing order for the same amount every month but considering it takes almost 14 days to arrive that’s impossible.. CANCEL IT NOW WITH YOUR BANK OR YOU WILL BE SCAMMED

  12. Have just been scammed by this company, too. I received the “free trial” in June, having happily paid the £4.99 shipment fee. I received the product at the end of June and thought that was it, completely unaware that they would then take money from my account.

Fast forward to the 1st of September and I receive another package from them. I then went online to check our house account (which we only pay standing orders out of for utility bills, so don’t check regularly – more fool me!) to see that they have debited THREE lots of £96.96!

As I paid for the first package using a Visa Debit card, the bank are now going to contact them via a Visa Chargeback declaration, which they can contest over the next £45 days, to get the money back. I have emailed the company, stating that I want to cancel these payments and no longer want their product. I have just got a generic “we will respond within…” reply.

The bank advised me to also phone the company to notify them. Good grief, that’s 20 minutes of my life I won’t be getting back! Having just read Diane’s comment above, I dread to think how much that will cost me. They have a very interesting take on their charging policy…

    – They told me that the payment taken out at the beginning of July was the charge for keeping the first ‘trial’ package!

    – I was charged at the end of July but received nothing. He very kindly offered to send me another package – err, no thanks! He said the only way I would get money back for this payment would be to contact the “insureship” company. He gave me an American phone number and order reference. If you have received any emails from them, there is also a link to this company listed. I clicked it and low and behold the only “refund” you can get from them is…. another shipment of ketones.

    – I was charged at the end of August and have obviously just received the package. I explained that I would be sending this back by recorded delivery (if only he’d give me an address, except he wouldn’t!) but was then told that the 7 day guarantee does not apply to order set up via Autoship.

We were going around the houses and I felt as if he was trying to keep me on the phone and started to worry about the cost – yes, I know, a bit late in the day. He refused to give me a refund and said he would close my account and no further funds would be taken. Needless to say, I have learnt my lesson and will be watching account like a hawk. In a way, I feel lucky that I did receive their god awful package this morning, otherwise I’d be none the wiser and we literally had PENNIES left in our utility account and could have incurred hefty fees for non-payment of bills.

Worryingly, our bank says that once these companies have our account details, the bank (Norwich and Peterborough) have no way of stopping the payments from being taken out. Surely that’s not right? I feel sick to the back teeth that this has happened. At the time of making the first order in June, I googled the product name and couldn’t find any negative posts about it. I’m gutted that so many of us have been scammed by these cretins and just hope that if anyone out there is going to order, they come across this page first and DON’T DO IT!!!
