Are you trying to lose weight but are finding things difficult? If you are then there are certain things that you can do at the start of the week that can prepare you for success.

As Sunday is probably the day when you have most spare time we will say that this is the start of the week. So what can you do on a Sunday to prepare you to lose weight all week? Read on to find out.

#1: You should weigh yourself

Some experts will say that you should weigh yourself daily, but I think that this is probably too often.

After-all your weight will fluctuate many times throughout the week, which can leave you feeling annoyed or disappointed if you have not lost weight or even gained weight.

Instead I suggest that you pick one day and stick to it. If possible you should also try to stick to the same time of day too.

It is recommended that you weigh yourself weekly to help you to assess your progress.

#2: Clear away the junk

If you want to start eating a little healthier, which will therefore enable you to lose weight effectively then you need to clear away the temptation of junk food from your house.

Open up your fridge and your cupboards and remove anything you think will ruin your weight loss efforts. Instead replace them with healthy alternatives.

#3: Plan your workouts

No doubt you will know in advance the days when you will be too busy to workout. You should also know what days you will be able to workout.

Write these days down and make an effort to stick to them. Weight loss can only occur when you combine both dieting and exercise.

#4: Do the laundry

A common excuse for not working out is that you do not have any clean gym clothes.

Well, get into the habit of doing your laundry on a Sunday so that you can no longer use this excuse.

#5: Plan your meals for the week

As with working out, if you know that you are going to busy a certain day then you can plan your meals accordingly.

Once you know what and when you are going to eat, write it down while also writing a shopping list for yourself.

#6: Go shopping

If you have written a shopping list for yourself then you will know what it is you need to buy.

Do not be tempted by the offers and try your best to stick to your shopping list.

#7: Pre-prepare some meals

If you lead a busy life then you are certainly now alone.

Well, if you want to avoid having to rush out to buy a takeaway or a microwave meal because you have not got enough time to prepare a healthy meal then I suggest that you pre-prepare a few meals yourself

Lose WeightThese meals can then be frozen and reheated when needed. Meaning you can eat healthily even when you are busy.

#8: Get your gym clothes ready

If you are planning on working out then prepare your gym bag in advance. You should also place it somewhere you wont forget it.

For example, leave the gym bag by the front door, so that you can pick it up on the way out to work.

No more excuses not to get a little exercise.

#9: Get an early night

To get your week off to a good start try to get a good nights sleep, at least 7-9 hours.

Hopefully this will start off a trend that can continue throughout the rest of the week.

The reason why you should get plenty of sleep is because less than the recommended 7 hours will result in the hormones that control your appetite becoming messed up.

For example, the stress hormone cortisol will be overproduced, which will lead to food cravings and will promote fat storage too.
