8 Ways to Lose Weight Without Crazy Diets

If you are looking to lose weight you maybe tempted by one of those crazy diets you have seen used by various celebs.

The problem is that most of these diets are not safe, and wont work in the long run either.

Many involve drastic cutting of calories, or the banning of entire food groups, which is not something I would recommend doing.

Luckily there are other options available. Many of which are not only more effective long-term, but much safer too.

#1: Have a glass of water before you eat

An easy way to cut the amount you eat is to have a glass of water to drink before each meal.

A study showed that those who did this were able to lose an average of 4 kg over a 3-month period.

#2: Have breakfast

Research has shown that those who eat breakfast tend to be slimmer than those who skip it.

There are various reasons for this. Firstly, it will give your metabolism an early kick-start. Plus, can help to stop you from indulging in foods mid-morning that you know are bad for you.

#3: Do some exercise during TV ad breaks

If you love a little TV you will know just how annoying those adverts are.

A typical set of adverts can last between 2 and 3 minutes, which can be a good time to do a little exercise.

These short bouts of exercise can mount up over the course of the night.

#4: Be more active

Of course joining the gym would be a good idea, but there are other ways to burn calories without an expensive gym membership.

Research has even shown that those who eat dairy are more likely to lose fat than those on a low-dairy diet.

#8: Get plenty of sleep

If you are not getting the recommended 7 hours of sleep per night then you could be putting your attempt to lose weight in jeopardy.

A lack of sleep can raise stress levels and leave your body producing excessive amounts of the hormone cortisol, which will leave you craving food and more likely to hold onto your fat reserves.
