You may think that to lose weight you need to be skipping meals, especially out last nighttime dinner as this meal causes weight gain.

When you skip meals you are telling your body that food maybe scarce, which will cause your body to go into a sort of “starvation mode”.

This means that once you start eating, instead of calories being burnt they will be stored as fat.

There is a reason why it is recommended that you fill half your plate with vegetables when eating.

They are naturally low in calories, but contains various nutrients that are good for your overall health.

Avocado contains good fats, fibre and a variety of nutrients, making them an essential part of your diet.

They make the perfect snack food, just make sure to stick to only a handful. You can also sprinkle them over your foods too, to add a little extra flavour and interest.

You can mix and match them, which can add interest, which will make it easier to stick to your diet long-term.
