Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse scam

Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse scam

Following on from our discovery about the Beyond Raspberry Ketone scam there seems to be another product also looking to rip people off by tricking them into signing up for an auto ship program.

The name of this product is Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse, which is made using Green Coffee Beans. One of the most popular ingredients currently used in diet pills.

What does Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse claim to do?

Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse is claimed to help:

  • With weight loss
  • Reduce the appearance of cellulite
  • Cleanse and detoxify your body
  • Increase energy levels
  • Improve digestion

What is Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse made from?

Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse is made from Green Coffee Beans, Resveratrol, Citrus Pectin, Fennel seeds, Ginger, Oats and Prune juice.

Although some of the ingredients used have been proven to aid weight loss, Green Coffee for instance the lack of quantities of each ingredient makes it difficult to know whether the claims made are accurate.

How much does Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse cost?

Unfortunately despite making claims to be a FREE 14 day, to start you will be paying £4.95 (£4 for shipping and handling, with a further 95p for an ebook).

This is where it gets interesting though as you will be signing up to an auto ship program that will charge you £64.95 after this initial trial period and a further £64.95 every month thereafter.

There have been claims that people have signed up to this FREE trial without being aware of the fact, maybe not noticing the disclaimer or perhaps as claimed by others that no disclaimer was present.

Is it possible to get a refund?

In the terms and conditions available on the website it states that you can cancel your membership within 14 days of signing up with any unused product returned.

You will have to pay for the return postage but at least you wont be charged that £64.95 every month, which in our opinion is too much for a product like this.

Their customer service number is 0844 858 8073, or you can email them at support@nutragreencoffee.com

Returns should be sent to:

Returns
PO Box 13511
Linlithgow
West Lothian
EH49 7YH

How to avoid being ripped off?

In the future it is best that you thoroughly read any terms and conditions available. Auto ship programs such as this are notoriously difficult to cancel so perhaps if a product seems to good to be true, then it probably is.

If you have signed up to this program we would love to hear your experiences, whether they are good or bad. Just leave your comments below.

Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse on TV

On a recent episode of Rip Off Britain (17th March – Food), Gloria Hunniford, Angela Rippon and Julia Somerville investigated Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse and its trial offer.

Is there an alternative to Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse?

There is no doubt that Green Coffee beans are a proven way to help with your weight loss efforts, it is just a shame that certain products are jumping on the bandwagon without stating the amount of the ingredient is present.

One product that is not afraid to state its dosages is Svetol Green Coffee, which contains 50% Chlorogenic Acid, which is the recommended dosage of Green Coffee Beans.

It is considerably cheaper too, at only £24.99 for a months supply.

When used alongside a healthy diet with regular exercise there will be no reason why you cant reach your weight loss goals.

    • I ordered coffee cleanse and Raspberry Ketones off Facebook thinking it was a good offer.

It was only after typing in my card details that I was aware of the monthly charges, too late to cancel. My son phoned the company on my behalf, they only asked for my email address and promised that the membership would be cancelled, but didn’t state anything about returning any pills.

Well the coffee cleanse pills turned up through the post this morning so I am going to return them by recorded mail along with a note cancelling my membership, this should have been made clear b4 ordering …. not happy

        • Phone them on 0844 858 8073 or 08001 577409. The first number is stated as freephone but I used the second number and cancelled my order, as I also did not realise that I was signing up for a membership and have been ripped off for £200.

          • I have phoned them but they don’t want to know. Do you know how I can stop being ripped off another £200. they have already taken one £200 Thanks

          • I ordered these pills on 2nd July 2014. I went away for 5 weeks on the 3rd July. When I returned the pills were here. There was no mention of the prices involved on the despatch note. It was only when I received my credit card bill, 14th August that I discovered what I had paid. When I telephoned them they just kept saying that the pills should have been returned within 14 days if I didn’t want to be debited every month. This was not how the advert read at all and after a very heated exchange they agreed to take off £60 from the amount owing (£174.94) I said I had had no confirmation email
and after asking me my email address, said I had mis-spelt something which is why I hadn’t heard! An expensive lesson learnt.

          • I have been on to my Credit Card company and they are refunding me my money and sorting out the company I got the pills from. Amazing service. Also put a stop on any further payments that might be made from my account from the company! Try it!

      • Hi

Please can you let me know the website address and contact details for this facebook thing, as I have also been ripped off for Green Coffee and Ketone Advanced to the tune of £200.

        Many Thanks

        • I’ve just done exactly the same thing! I immediately phoned my bank and they said this is the most common type
of scam going at the moment. They were great, cancelled any further payments to the 2 companies and said if they do take any further payments, the bank will be responsible and pay the money straight back into my account. I received the advanced ketone and green coffee bean tablets in the post yesterday (from Cyprus). Will bin them immediately.

      • Whoops think I’ve done the same and started taking pills. And can’t find the add on fb. Only taken them for the last 2 days and they have upset my tummy. Going to stop and inform my credit card company to not make payments. Feel stupid that I have fallen for this

      • I fell for this scam on facebook too, have received coffee cleanse today, and as soon as i receive ketones they will both be going back, facebook should not be allowing these con artists to advertise their products!

      • I too got caught by this scam but I called them direct and after a long winded discussion where they tried to fob me off I stated that I would be taking legal advice and that I had already cancelled any further orders so the fact they were taking money from my account basically amounted to theft. I also said the product was useless and did nothing other than make me feel sick. I did get a refund albeit only 90% of what I had paid and I’ve also had no problems since. It’s worth giving them a call. Stand firm and don’t be afraid to threaten them with legal action and bad press. Believe me they won’t want that.

          • Hi I did the same around the same time as you, the contact details are on the bottles. I got through to them immediately after I found £175 had been taken too, on the 08 number. Everyone who phones speaks to a foreigner, like me, and I asked where he was and he said Florida, which I don’t believe. Anyway, they said I was not going to get a refund and it was on watchdog last night so i’m sitting now gathering all the info I need to get my money back. There are so many companies/authorities who are against the way they sell and these pills are actually illegal to sell in the UK. So if you like i’ll give you all I know, cos i think everyone should demand their money back and threaten them with action, as i’ve read some people have received refunds. Just let me know!

        • Phone them on 08001 577409 to cancel the contract.

    • Hi, I also fell for this scam I have lost £200 so far, the first payment came out and I went straight to the bank I have them both names, they assured me nothing would come out. Checked my statement this morning and I’ve been charged another £80!!!
When I went into the bank this morning they rang the fraud team and explained to me that the company tried to take payment with the name I had given the bank, it was refused so the company changed one word and the bank paid it!!!!
I have been advised to close the account it’s the only way they can’t keep taking the money out!!!!

    • This company are fraudsters they take your money and never deliver any products to you. The say they have been sent but send you no proof they will not give you an address to write to when you wish to complain. When you start getting upset they tell you to stop swearing even when you are not all you are doing is raising your voice as while you are trying to speak they talk over you as you are deviating from their script they have to follow and then they cut you off. They are a CRAP company and Tod Black their CEO should be ashamed and should personally answer every complaint sent to his company. Everyone should complain about the company because they fob you off saying they can find no trace of you on their systems too so that when you ring to cancel within the 14 days they can lose that call and keep on charging you for thin air. Think I will take this to trading standards, my solicitor and all the national papers then maybe they will treat people with more respect and action their complaints and refunds quicker and also give out the complaints address when asked for it rather than fobbing you off saying they don’t have an address for complaints. it may also help them to know who their CEO is and know that when a customer requests this information that they can not refuse to give it.

      • So totally agree with you on this one. Same thing has happened to me. So far I’m nearly £400 down because of the combined coffee and raspberry ketones scam. And they sent me an email stating that they could not find my details, then stating that I had not contacted them previously. So angry, as I can’t afford to lose this money, and the stupid thing is, if you went on amazon you can buy the same product for cheaper!!! I’ve contacted watchdog, maybe you could too?

I never recieved any more tablets, apparently they are now on there way!!!!! Does anybody have an address or number I could call as I asked to be put through to someone and realised soon that nobody was going to answer. Who is Tod Black and where is he based??

They have given me a long reference number for each product that i need to place in the package when returning.

    • I was absolutely disgusted with the way these two products enticed women in, I too have been ripped off by thinking that I was just paying for the trial of the two products and paid the postage. I didn’t see any terms and conditions so had no idea I needed to council after 14 days. I tried to call the contact number before the trial time any way to notify the company I was unable to take them as they caused me heart problems! When I finally got through they told me that the £160,00 pounds that they took from my account for both products was what they costed and I should of counselled before the 14 days to not be charged. How can these people be allowed to get away with this. There are many venerable women out there who feel the need to try anything to help get rid of there weight. None of us mind paying for a product but there was no price associated with them and on line there are similar products for only £19.00 not £95.00 what a rip off! how can they sleep easy at night Karma is a wonderful thing lets hope this information gets out there to help we women and stop these companies getting away with this!.

My name is Keith and I am writing you to ask of you, the telephone number of the rip-off company Nutra because just recently I fell for the same scam, I placed an free trial order online and was charged the earth the following day of order. They shouldn’t be allowed to do this. My bank is going to get my money back but I would have to wait for 60 days before my bank can proceed in reclaiming my money back. But is possible for you to e-mail me the telephone number because I’ve got nothing to go on, it be really appreciated if you do that for me. Thank you and hope to hear from you very soon.

    • When i signed up over facebook there was nothing referring to an automated subscription. I had read people had problems with them so i went to their page which did mention an automated subscription policy. I emailed them requesting to unsubscribe they still have not gotten back to me. In the meantime i contacted my bank who blocked them so everytime they try to take a payment it bounces back and my money remains mine. I would suggest you try the same. The department who helped were called the visa dispute team. Hopefully they may be able to help you recoup your money. Im very sorry they were able to get at your money.

      • The same thing happened to me l saw it on facebook and signed up on 9th July and thought it was genuine as Denice Welch seem to be endorsing it, there was nothing mentioned about an automated subscription policy all it said was it was a free trial and all you had to pay was postage which was £4.95 for the nutra green coffee cleanse and £3.95 for the pure advanced raspberry ketone which l had also bought. l began to get a bit suspicious when l never received a confirmation email for payment and also had a woman ring me asking for my card details to confirm payment, l explained that l had already paid for the items she got annoyed and said l hadn’t paid for them yet and l needed to give her my card details when l refused and said that l had a receipt to prove l had paid she said that was impossible and still kept insisting that l give her my card number. l insisted l had paid and refused to give her my card details, luckily l paid with my credit card so l phoned the credit card company and cancelled the card and explained what happened so no more payments can be taken by these scammers. Please be aware though if you paid on your debit through your bank account just cancelling the card is not enough you have to get the bank to block them from taking anymore payments. l was lucky my credit card statement shows they have only taken the postage amounts and nothing else and they wont be able to get anymore as the card has now been cancelled. l have also emailed the company to say l am cancelling the subscription but had no reply and you can’t get them on the phone either.

    • Hi – just wanted to let you all know, unfortunately without knowing until looking on bank statement I was caught out with the Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse (£79.97) and Keytone Advance (£94.97) free trial scam! This caused a lot of heartache and arguing, yes due to my being gulable (but never again)! I just wanted to let everyone know on this site that if you go to your bank and explain, chances are they are already aware of this sort of thing. In my case Nationwide took this on and looked into this on my behalf. They advised me what to do, which was to return the goods (which I did) together with a letter explaining the situation i.e. free trial only, not signed up etc. The bank refund x2 £94.97 and x2 £79.97 into my account but not to touch just in case, and through the visa card would investigate further as I had paid postage only for the free trial! I am delighted to report on this site that Nationwide recovered my whole money back into my account and would strongly advise others to do the same as there is light at the end of the tunnel! My only concern is do these pills actually work and are they safe to take (or are they a scam too)!

Also the actual returns part of the website no longer displays or works so you can’t actually ask for a returns number any longer. My wife has learnt her lesson!!

They have taken 6 payments from my account and I have not received any of the product.

I called and they said that they can only refund the last 2 payments for me, and can only resend me 2 bottles of the product.

I asked “so what is happening to the rest of the product?”. The man said “I am sorry, that is all we can offer you, go on our website and read the terms and conditions, you are not eligible for any refund but we are offering you the option, according to us, we did dispatch the product to you, you can check that with royal mail.”

I don’t really want to battle with these people anymore. I accepted the offer but it is a big lesson to learn, from now on I check my bank statement monthly and avoid any online transaction.

Needless to say, I didn’t do that. My bank say they have blocked future withdrawals, but I only hope they have. The number for the Raspberry Ketone trial has been given as 08000149612.

  17. I was unfortunate to be sucked into this too. I realised within the 14 day trial period though by researching about the product online a few days ago and couldn’t believe what I’d signed up to.

Luckily looking through my statement, I had only been charged the postage!!! I then proceeded to call the bank and asked them to stop any further transactions from this company to be debited. I have also written the company an email confirming I would like to cancel the account (the account I didn’t realise I had set up).

The one thing left that I am not able to do is return the ‘unused’ product as I had broken the seal. So there is no point in returning the product as they are not able to re-sell it! Lets see what happens next.

    • And yes have fallen for this myself but I hope what I am about to say will ease things a little!
First and fore most contact you bank, this will enable them from the day you contact bank to stop future payments.
Secondly, but unfortunately you will the vendors customer services as an RMA number is required as a part of the terms and conditions. So if there is no RMA it will not be accepted as valid.
Next package the remainder of the product in it original container (this will be minus 2 for every day you have had them in your possession) so even if you have not opened them, you would have been expected to use 2 a day. The t & c`s state “the remainder of the product”
Next address to the vendor with the clearly marked RMA number at the top.
Next take to the post office send recorded and keep the receipt safe for future reference.
I do hope this helps a little!
ps… by the way the web address is not correct on the product container… try .co.uk not com!!

  18. Same problem tried to cancel no more than 10 minutes after signing up for the “free trial”, simple trip to my bank, charges returned to card then card cancelled. This company can only take the money from your card using the card number as authorisation. By cancelling your card no more money can be taken!

  21. I have also fallen for this scam and can’t believe I have!!! Luckily alarm bells started to ring immediately so I did my research and realised what I’d got myself into. I emailed straightaway to cancel my order but they said I had it call. I’ve now called to cancel and have to return the two unopened bottles (which arrived yesterday)! I still don’t trust them after reading the above comments so I’ve just contacted my bank who will put a stop to them taking anymore money. So far I’ve been lucky and they’ve only taken postage costs.

One more thing to add – now I’ve set this up with my bank, they will fully refund me if further payments do come out of my account – although this shouldn’t happen.

Lesson learnt and feeling stupid. I hope trading standards stop them!!!!!!!

I contacted my bank, who initially the customer service advisor said they couldn’t do anything until another payment had come out of my account, I wasn’t happy about this, so I asked to speak to the manager who has now blocked all further payments from the company. Hopefully this will be the end of it and my daughter said hopefully I’ve learnt my lesson…….

  24. Can’t believe I fell for this. I usually check out everything before I buy online but the one time I don’t and it’s a scam! I was so annoyed and rang to cancel the orders and subscriptions and was told that I couldn’t cancel the order as it was already being processed and I couldn’t cancel the subscriptions until I received the products. So I rang when I’d got them and was again told I couldn’t cancel the subscriptions until I’ve sent them back! Three times I had to call their expensive RUDE line to cancel everything! I’ve now rang my bank to cancel my card to make sure they can’t take anything else. If they can’t get money out of you through products, they’ll get it through their phone lines! Robbers!

I have also contacted my bank and instructed them not to allow this to happen again. I suggest you do the same.

I ordered them before I realised the rip off auto order. I tried to cancel but got e-mail saying they couldn’t stop orders in process, finally managed to cancel contract.

Then I got money took out for nutra coffee, which was a p****r because I thought they were the same firm as they came in same package, rang my banks dispute dept and might be able to get refund because I told them I e-mailed a week earlier and got no reply, my main worry now is if they come back for more from nutra coffee because they can’t find my account, although as I pointed out in my e-mail they found my account ok for the money.

There should be more protection for consumers from your banks to cancel if you know there’s something dodgy going on because it a guarantee scheme to pay out, Bunch of shysters

  32. From reading all these comment I can see I’m not the only one been foolish enough to be scammed by this company.

I honestly thought I would get a free month trial and just pay for postage and packaging like it makes out. It was only when I was after I put my bank details in and I never received no email confirmation that I started thinking something wasn’t right.

I looked around the website for more info and found out I had signed up for the tablets to be sent out to me monthly and if I wanted to cancel I would have to do this within 14 days and send unused tablets back and pay the postage fee if I didn’t do this I’d be charged full price ( so much for a free trail) it should state all this before you hand over your card details.

I phoned them about 15 minutes after I realised how stupid is been, I was out on hold for quite a long time eventually I got through to a woman who’s told me I should at least try them before cancelling after a lot of arguing with her she said they would be cancelled and not sent out to me but I’d still have to pay postage and packing even though I wasn’t having anything posted or packed to me!

She said I would receive email confirmation of my cancellation this did not happen and the tablets were sent out anyway. I have reported my card as lost In order for the long card number to be changed to prevent them taking the cost of the tablets out of my bank. As for returning them…. They can get fucked!!!!

  35. I came across both on a website that advertises free stuff. Paid the few pounds for both Ketone & Green Coffee without realising what I was signing up for.

Checked my bank statement yesterday and saw that both had taken money, over £170 out of pocket. Been kicking myself ever since.

Phoned my bank, they have put a stop to further payments and are looking to get the other money refunded, but making no promises. I haven’t even received further products following the trial ones. I guess if they had sent them that would have alerted me sooner to the problem!

E-Mailed them to cancel, but surprisingly no reply. Surely trading Standards who it seems have been made aware of this scam should have put a stop to this by now? The first posts on here go back well before Xmas. Surely this is what Trading Standards exist for.

  36. I have also fallen for this scam and feel so stupid. I managed to get through to the company relatively quickly but the line was very poor. I’ve managed to cancel the membership after realising something wasn’t right the minute I ordered the free samples. I have been provided with 2 reference numbers to return the product as soon as it arrives and have contacted the bank who have cancelled any future payments from this company. If you have fallen for this, contact your bank ASAP and get the payments cancelled.

I’ve been told I’ll receive an email confirmation within 24 hours but I’m not holding my breath! I felt sick last week the minute I realised what I’d done.

  37. I too was won over by what looked to be worth a try. I am trying to lose weight for IVF so in my desperation felt trying this was well worth a try. I have had over £170 taken from my account and after a couple of e-mails from their Email support centre I was told I had successfully cancelled the account I was unaware I had set up.

I did receive the “free trial” bottles but no products since. I then happened to be checking my account on Friday night, nearly a month after cancelling to find a further £79.97 taken from the f*****g company. To say I was less than impressed is an understatement. I sent yet another well worded e-mail stressing how disgusted I was at their theiving, daylight robbery! I received a response (from their email support centre) telling me that the email support centre did not have the authority to cancel my account and that it had now been cancelled. Well thats a contradictory statement as they are the email support centre and they cancelled it?! I demanded a refund and have just seen that a refund of £79.97 for the last payment taken has been refunded. Does this then mean no more money will be taken?!

On top of all of this my bank is shockingly rubbish. I spoke with their fraud investigations team, was told my account would be frozen, my card cancelled and future payments to this company would be blocked. This was back at the end of January. My card was NOT cancelled, my account NOT frozen and clearly they still took money from me!

Feeling stupid and ashamed at being caught up in all of this. We are all obviously too trusting!

Phoned and they would despatch another one. It never arrived. Phoned to cancel and ask for a refund for product not received. They couldn’t do that because it had been delivered! I have to return the green coffee cleanse and have proof of postage but they can’t provide me with proof of postage for ketone. I cannot believe there is nothing that can be done about this fraudulent behaviour.

I have also contacted the bank to stop any future payments being taken.

Then 3 days later I got the clenser throught the post with a dodge looking invoice. So I went in to more detail and found that it was a scam. I called the number on the invoice that didnt work, so called the preimium rate number on the website. A man from another country answered saying I needed to send them back unopened. With the cancellation number that they give clearly printed on the return. I also emailed them so I have it in writing that I want to cancel( suprise , suprise no email returned) I then contacted the bank , luckly so far only postage for trial has been taken out, and I have cancelled any future payments to go out. A now have new card. When I get the trial ketone through I will send both back.lets see whats ay. Unfortunatly I told my friend about it a soon as I cottoned on, she rang the bank today and in total have taken £180 out of her account and where just about to take another £180. Poor woman is so upset. Lets just hope thats the end of it.

    • I too fell for this scam and have learned a valuable lesson. If it sounds too good to be true then it is. In future I will always read terms & conditions before I finally committ to purchase anything. I managed to speak to the company without any wait using the 0844 number and received confirmation of cancellation within 10 minutes. I have contacted my bank as added security and instructed them not to make any further payments to this company and to cancel my credit card. I am annoyed though at my bank because they are aware of this scam and when I first attempted to make the purchase they stopped my credit card and telephoned me to ask if I was attempting to make the purchase before unlocking my card. I feel that their duty of care to me should have extended to making me aware that this offer was a scam. A further annoying thing is the product does not work at all. There are no short cuts to slimming or magic pills, just gullible people like me looking for them. The only way to slim is a balanced lifestyle of eating healthy and exercise.

  41. I took up the offer of a free trial of Raspberry Ketone and Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse in December and exactly 14 days after placing the order £94 was taken from my bank account and a day later another £79. At this stage I had not even received the product. The pills arrived a couple of days later and I immediately phoned and e-mailed the company to cancel further deliveries. The Bank filled out forms to stop further payments. However a few weeks later another £79 was taken and the Bank refunded me. Since then the Bank has blocked my card on three occasions because they are still trying to get money from my account. Three days ago they asked the Bank for £59 which was blocked and yesterday they asked for £19.99 which the Bank debited my account with. This will now have to be refunded. I have now cancelled my credit card. Enough is enough! A complete scam

  42. Yep, scammed as well – the tablets make you sh*t for England – hence the cleansing bit! Am sure I read an article by the DailyMail on them online and thought I’d try them. Just noticed £174 gone from my account over 5 days from the 2 companies. I have phoned the bank and told them it’s a scam and they have stolen my money – and no product has been forthcoming either after the initial trial bottles and to stop all further payments. The quickest and most affective way to stop companies doing this is to say your card has been stolen – I’m with Barclays so can get a replacement on the same day, going to give Barclays the chance as they have said any further payments they will refund it and they will try and get the stolen/unauthorised payments back. Expensive lesson to learn tho!

Incredibly hard to cancel as the 14 day return policy starts from when they post it not when you receive it.

  47. I ordered the free trial but realised quite soon that it was a scam. I rang the customer services number 08001577409 to get a RMA number which you need in order to return the product which must be un-opened. Write a letter of cancellation to put inside your package & send it recorded delivery to: PPF SHIPPING LTD, po box – 13511, Linlithgow, West Lothian. EH49 7YH. KEEP YOUR PROOF OF POSTAGE RECEIPT.
Then email the company you ordered from (in my case Ketone Advanced) giving your order number etc, and confirm with them that you wish to cancel within the 14 day period, and that you have returned the product.
After a few days, ring PPF SHIPPING to confirm that they have received the returned products
(01506 848963), or email them: ron@ppfshipping.com. (He was fantastic in dealing with my complaint), best to have it in writing that they received your products.
However, please note that PPF SHIPPING have absolutely nothing to do with the company and do not do refunds etc, they are just a third party fulfillment & distribution centre, they send out orders & take back returns only.
BEWARE …………..The company (not PPF) will take or attempt to take further payments from your account even after they have received the returned products, and will tell you that they have not received your returned products, they will even use different product names to get your cash from your account for which they have details. The banks pay out as you will have given them different brand names to block payments ( believe me it’s happened to me even after I blocked payments).
I contacted PPF after finding their warehouse details on internet, they confirmed that they had received my returns & also sent me a print out of the return.
The company whom I was trying to get money back from kept saying I hadn’t returned products which I clearly had. When I told them I had spoke with Ron at PPF & had a printout & email confirming the return, they appeared shocked as to how I had managed to make contact with him as obviously they don’t want their customers getting that information.
So now, the same lady at customer services that was telling me that I hadn’t returned the items has apologised & promised a full refund within 3 days, only because I have a email confirming the return.
It is very difficult to cancel this product & money keeps going from your account. The company will keep making excuses that make it sound like you are in the wrong. They do not reply to your emails either (though PPF do). You must return unopened products within 14 days from ordering them in order to get refund if money has been taken from your account, which they will waste no time in doing. Good Luck to anyone that has got caught up in this ridiculous SCAM!!!

After the trial products (useless) I didn’t receive any more goods so if I hadn’t checked my bank they would have continued to help themselves. My bank asked their bank, Halifax, to refund me the £180 as well, but got a letter from Halifax pointing out I had signed up for it. I feel banks shouldn’t entertain customers such as these when they realise what is going on. Is there anyone who we can turn to who will sort this rabble out and get our money back? 52. Hello,

my friend and I ordered from this website 24 hours ago, realised it was a bit weird after as we didn’t receive an email but took the money out of our accounts straight away. Today we rang them up to cancel, to be fair we wasn’t on hold for no more than 2 minutes, the lady was surprisingly nice and cancelled our orders without us having the order number (you have to quote your full name and email address) however reading some of these comments we don’t actually know if they are cancelled. We are now on the phone to our bank (Barclays) who are aware of this scam and are helping to put a stop on all further payments for this company.

Barclays have written to the company and if they take money out of my account Barclays will put the money back in and charge the scam company £50 everytime! Barclays also said this is a nasty company!!

We have lost out £7 but way better than hundreds!!

    Be careful and be persistent!

I used this e-mail – support@ketoneadvanced.com and it failed. I called this tel nr – 0844 8588072. I got thru quite quickly and i advised the lady who answered the call that i wished to cancel the order i had made earlier. She asked me why and i told her that i do not want the pdts anymore. She told me that i should cancel after rcvng the pdts but I said no. Then she advised me that she had canceled my membership and that i’ll not be charged further. I asked for the shipping & postage money back and she said that i could not have that back according to their policy. I checked to see if i had rcvd a cancellation e-mail and there was no e-mail from them. Then I called my bank and asked to have my card canceled.

Barclays have for the time being put a credit back into my account and have said will try and get the money back from the fraudsters…..has anyone had any luck with such suggestion from their CC company yet?
I am keeping fingers crossed…but please can someone let me know if going to the police has helped them or the trading authorities any good?

    Thanks,
    tej

  57. I ordered these on a free trial and they billed me for £79.97 I payed for them to be returned and never got a refund. I phoned them, at my cost, and asked for the order to be cancelled which they said it would be. That was in May. Today I received another supply and again £79.97 was taken from my account. I contacted them and told them I had sent them straight back and they said without a tracking number they will not be refunding them. I wanted this said as to warn others as it is not easy to cancel them and the people on customer service are rubbish, won’t listen and deny all knowledge of previous conversations to cancel the order. Absolute scam and I want everyone to know about. Is there anyone who has reported them to anyone in athority?

  58. Thank god for threads like these.
I ordered the free trial in good faith and paid p&p.
Products arrived today. So far only the p&p has been taken but my card is now cancelled and I’m going to the bank Monday to make sure they don’t allow more payments out just in case!! I’m not sending the products back. They can have a taste of their own medicine!!!! Bet the products don’t even work.
I sincerely hope those of you who have lost money get your money back and these scammers get what’s coming to them!!!

  59. Omg why didnt i think to read this was a scam in the first place.

now reading lots of peoples comments on here that thay have fallen for it to, its a scam i fill so stupid that i fell for it to.

i kept reading about this on facebook and i wasent to sure myself the first couple of times wether or not to try it then cause it was being advertised so much and it kept showing pics of denise welch the tv actor, how much weight she had lost apparently through takeing these capsules

i really thought it was real so i then fell for it and thought i would try as they prononce it as a trial for £4,95 for the ketone advanced and 95p for nutra green coffee cleanse which also say they have to be taken together.

Withing a few days they came through the post and i thought they had just taken the 4,95 plus 95 for both and that was the end of that i guess i didnt understand it properly when i read it before giveing my card details but i did read that you can cancel it in 14 days.

i then started thinking after these capsules had been sent and i realised they might think i am wanting this product regulary at the normal price in which i didnt just wanted to try the trial size advertised ones, so i rang the number to contact them to cancel the whole thing i also wasent told nothing about how to cancel and nothing about haveing to send these tablets back

the fact that they had already taken money for them off my card details as soon as i ordered them the £4,95 plus 95p had been taken straight away i noticed that when i went to the bank not long after

I wanted to to spk to someone to make it clear i didnt want this product as a regular thing and especially seeing the price they were chargeing in what i also thought was a lot of money for this so i did panic a bit wen i finealy got through to someone on the phone it was an asian guy who clearely couldnt speak good english as i was trying to explaine to him i want this canceld

i then asked him can he put me through to someone else please to speak to who can understand english better and he put the phone down on me very rude as i did ask him politely as well, i did try to ring back but got no reply

i went straight to my bank on the same day and explained all this and said can you cancel these people from takeing any money out of my account they said yes they even gave me a receipt to say transaction canceld

i am only on bennifits at the moment looking for work so i get my bennifit money paid into my account they pay me fortnightly for it to last two weeks for me to live off im seeking work at the moment trying my hardest to get a job its very hard i have no other choice but to get bennifits to live off until a job comes up i have to pay my utility bills out of that money same as other people and for food ect

a few days later i went to get my money from the bank to find £97,98 had gone missing i then ashumed it had to be something to do with these people takeing money out of my account i was so mad and upset i was almost crying in anger to the fact that the bank had made it clear to me they had put a stop to them takeing any money from my account

It was to late that same day to do anything about it as the bank had closed it was after 5pm i then went back to the bank the nexed day and explained everything once again and how this money was my money i had to live off and pay my bills for the nexed two weeks and i was angry cause they had told me they canceld it to stop my money being taken from these people

they put me onto the disputes and recurring transaction team who spoke to me over the phone, and transferred my money back into my account that day then wen i went to get it again i was still £39.98p short of my money in which the people in the bank and the transaction team i was speaking to on the phone said there computer sysytem wasent showing exactly where the other 39.98p had gone to why i was short of that amount and said thereselfs

it must be to do with these people have taken that amount again after taken 97.98p just a few days before that i am still waiting to recive the 39.98p back from the bank

for some reason the bank didnt refund that , i was told i have to try for a couple of days and if its not been put back into my account after a couple of days to contact them again in which is what i am doing

I even asked if i could have a new sort code and account number just to be on the safe side that no more money would be taken from my account again they said i wouldnt need to as it will be stopped i said wot if more money goes everytime its getting put in they said then they will keep transfering it back to me the bank until eventualy this will stop as there going to keep an eye on it that was there words

i was told from the person in the bank at the time but i was trying to explain to them thats not good enough.

I come on here this morning just on the off chance to find out and read about all this and how it is a scam all along and shocked so many other people had fallen for it as well now i am really worried there just going to continue to keep takeing money from my account everytime it gets put in in which i cant afford this to happen and haveing to keep going into the bank explaining for them to transfer money back to me

im sure other people wouldnt want that inconvienience and hastle to these people sound like they keep going on and on takeing money from peoples accounts its wrong and its classed as fraud which i always thought was a serious crime ,surely theres something that the police or someone can do about this going on it is so wrong.

The scammers behind all this, they know lots of people will fall for this and they should not be allowed to get away with it.

I am now going to go into my bank again and cancel my account if i have to do this it has to be done and reopen another one if the bank isnt happy to do this in which i cant see why not anyway , i will open an account with another bank its all very well for them working in the banks saying there trying to sort it isnt no good this is a serious thing and i cant afford to take no risks , not to mention im still oweing that £39.98p back from the bank

I will never trust biying and ording anything no trials or falling for anything like that again on internet now i fill so stupid now i fell for this

up until now i had been looseing weight the natural way through trying to eat healthyer and going to gym its true thats the best way to do it and i now belive its also true there are no such thing as merical capsules to make you loose weight only a doctor can priscribe tablets to help you with weight loss and i know you have to be really obease overweight before a doctor will consider you to have them anyway

ive asked my doctors before in the past and they wont let me have them im also on my own medication my doctor has now got me on anti flammatory tablets for my back pain in which i have been suffering with nerve pain in my back for fare few years now i have been put on 6 different types of medication over the last few months for the pain attacks i often get includeing morphine in the past where it got really bad for a while

i was on morphine for three months now im off morphine on a different medication and these ones i am on now i have been happy to take that have been helping the pain on and off so i was also worried about takeing these so called weight loss capsuals mixing with my medication im on as in all fareness come to think of it now

i dont really know whats in these weight loss capsuals off the internet no one knows wots in them if truths know when there biying them as thats another risk takeing them if u are on any other medication from youre doctors.

Also the fact that i have proven i have did it by myself through gental exercise and healthy eating before now looseing weight i just thought these capsules were tempting to try to help the weight come off quicker now to find out i was conned and its a scam i am so unhappy about this now .

  60. I have also been duped and feel so stupid, I noticed last week that my bank account had 2 outstanding payments waiting to go out and when I rang my bank found that they were set to go out the next day to Ketone Advanced and Nutura Green Coffee, a total of £170+ of which I believed I had not agreed to.

My bank said they could not stop this payment as I had agreed to it via the T&C’s, have you seen the T&C’s at the bottom of the link for the “Free Trial” they are so small and in such feint text it is no wonder so many of us have been caught out, my bank did however stop all future payments.

I also tried to contact the company on the “free toll” numbers 08448588072 / 073, these are not free tolls and you are put through to customer support personnel who keep you hanging on the line, even emailing the support email addresses does not give you much hope either as they keep coming back asking for your email address that you used when you place the order!!!

I have been to ashamed to tell my husband as he is always warning me about ordering on line, so a very expensive lesson has been learnt, but how sad that we are still being conned by these companies.

I sent an email to the BBC Watchdog team who are investigating this practice tomorrow night, I will be watching with interest to see if they come up with a way of putting these companies out of business.

    • Ditto all of the above comments. When I realised they were taking my money, without my known permission, I was abroad and didn’t notice until the second payment went out. ASAP on return I phoned them, requested they closed my account, then discovered they had taken in all, over 10 weeks, about £350!! I was overdrawn at the bank because I had no idea they were doing this. When I phoned again, spoke to an Indian sounding man. It was also not a good line, so was able to keep saying difficult to hear, especially when he spoke fast, so made him slow down every time which gave me more time to respond to his lack interest in helping me. I said firmly that I wanted to return unwanted and non requested pills and wanted a refund. At first he refused a refund outright, whether or not I sent the pills back. I kept calm, but firmly said, not good enough. It was a very long call, probably expensive too, but I was insensed as to the blatant way the company is deliberately misleading people. I asked to speak to the Manager, but he made it clear there was no one else to speak to. I told him I seriously questioned the company business practice. I asked if he would prefer that I put the pills on eBay , making it clear just why I was selling them. He changed his tune then and agreed to refund one month supply of both sets of pills, around £180 if I didn’t do that. It’s only now that I have discovered so many others ripped off the same way. Surely our Fraud Squad could track them down and put a stop to this , as that’s what it is. I too feel very stupid, but can swallow that if I can be sure that others are not also being conned. My phone call lasted about 1/2 hr, and I just said each time he repeated his offer of a pitiful sum, that it wasn’t good enough. He definitely didn’t want me to use social media to expose this exploitation, but it would seem too late, as mine is just following a very long line of others who have been conned. In a strange way I feel reassured that at least I’m not alone in that, but they are lining their pockets meanwhile. He did say it made no difference if I sent them back or not, as they are worthless to them, even though unopened. Kind of expresses their confidence in the product Too. So where did all those commendations come from too? Think I’ve blasted off enough for now.

  61. Their terms and conditions also apparently states that the 14day free trial starts from the day you place the order to which I very loudly said to their customer services that in that case it’s not a 14day trial as the 14days should be from when the product is recieved otherwise you aren’t getting a 14day trial…..I also told them that if they refuse to refund me my money I shall be going to trading standards I am tomorrow sending both products back recorded delivery for next day. I am beyond furious with this company they took the money out dead on the 14th day after I paid even though I only recieved the product a week before. Customer services stated I would receive an email to confirm my cancellation and as of yet still no email!!

  62. Just checked my card statement today a noticed I had had 2 amounts taken totalling £175. Found this thread and immediately dialled the 08001577409 number. I got straight through and gave my details and asked for both payments to be stopped and my account closed. Spoke with a fenale named Alicia (american accent) who said they would be and I would receive an automated e-mail from the company advising me they had been cancelled. I will monitor and call back if not received.
i will also speak with my bank tomorrow to stop any further deductions.
good luck to everyone else…. lesson learned never ever click on a FB link.

  63. BUYER BEWARE!!

I recently fell for this seemingly perfect ‘free trial’ of Nutra Green Coffee Cleanse and Ketone Advanced. I have a few tips for anyone considering anyone considering it. This whole experience has been a nightmare for me.

In order to cancel you must call within the 14 days of the order date not the shipping date, which I did and they tried to argue that I was too late. Trick #1 they tried to pull

They also don’t tell you over the phone that you must include an ‘RMA’ number on the front of the parcel when returning the unused product(it states this in their terms, but they conveniently don’t tell you this when you call) The RMA number isn’t listed on any of their packaging so you have to call them to get it. They will not except packages without it. Trick #2

Because of my lack of trust in them, I paid extra for ‘track and trace’ in the post office so I would have confirmation that they had received it. I rang the day after it had been signed for to confirm and they argued that it hadn’t been delivered(you will get charged if they don’t receive the product back within 21 days of the initial order date) I had to ring the post office to get the name of the person that I had signed for it and then magically they confirmed that they had received it. Trick #3

As a warning to everyone, as our parents would say ‘If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is’

  64. what an idiot….! it was not until I watched Watchdog yesterday that I realised. I have just checked my bank account and the initial trial money went out two days after my order, and then 2 weeks later a further £79.95 has gone out. I will contact the bank on Monday to cancel my card and get a new one, and notify them to reject any applications for money from this company. I hope this is enough. I feel I should get a refund, but I admit I did not read the terms and conditions, which is not like me, so having to pay this money I suppose is my penance for being so stupid and gullible….! I am not returning any goods.

  65. I did the same as many on here ordered both things off the Facebook link! Did know it had to be cancelled after 14 days luckily but reading comments on here it seems as though they try and get out of cancelling it! Ive only been charged so far for postage and packaging and they pills have arrived before the 14 day trail has ended! I’ve changed my bank card so hopefully they can’t take anymore money out as some comments on here say the company use the card number to keep taking money from! I’m cancelling or today! Wish me luck!

  66. Guys, stopping payments is easy. You can call your bank and make them stop payments taken, but as the company changes name, payments might still be taken off your card. Now, all they have is a long number/expiry date/CVV code of your card. If you report it lost/stolen to your bank, you will get a new one within a few days, which will make them unable to take any money from your account as the numbers (ot at least CVV at the back) will be different. I have fallen to that scam myself, but cancelled my card just after two days and lost no money. If you can survive without a card for a few days, this is the best solution.

Is their anyway of them still being able to take money from my account ???

    • Hi,I too fell for this, nothing on website to say they would charge my card monthly.Contact your bank immediately and ask to speak to the card dispute team, who will give you a reference number and will refund any further payments taken from your account. They will contact the company and tell them to cancel the account.I had 3 payments taken as they change the name slightly each time so the money gets paid, but I contacted my bank straight away and it was bank in my account within a few hours(they say 24 but mine was about 4).I also constantly sent the same email to the companies, told them I wasn’t phoning anymore as they don’t answer the phone, and they are the cancellation dept so cancel my account. It took about 25 emails but I eventually received cancellation emails for both items .I never received any products except the trial ones although they did receive payments from my bank.Just keep emailing until they get the message. My bank is the Halifax by the way,who were brilliant.Good luck.

    • In my case, I received a new credit card with different number and no more money was taken (even though I didn’t bother sending pills back to these scammers). They don’t have your sort code/account number, just a debit/credit card number and as soon as this is changed, they won’t take a penny.

      • Hey Mike , but if that postal fee is taken from your account , don’t they have your account number from the bank ? And if so , do they still need your credit card number to take money from your account ?

  68. I also did not see anything about sending back the product and nearly had a coronary when I looked at my May 2014 credit card statement. I put a dispute on the payment, but this still did not stop a payment going through in June. I spent ages trying to get through to someone at the company to sort the problem out. When I did get to speak to someone the tone I felt was aggressive and I was told in no uncertain terms that they would not refund me – I should have seen the terms & conditions.
Barclaycard did sort it out for me by telephoning the company and this next operative was much more sympathetic and as a gesture of goodwill refunded me money (£179). I have just looked at my June statement and 2 payments have been blocked by Barclaycard. Fortunately my credit card number has now changed with a new card. Might I add I never received more that 1 tub of Nutragreen capsules and 1 tube of the Raspberry Ketones 60 capsules each!!!! How could someone be charged over £350 for 120 capsules?

I took two weeks off from you is a trial product which I paid, and since then nothing. Email does not help, should be addressed to the phone, which does not help anything, what I found their system has been described also talked to the monthly subscription for mobile frame. Repeatedly apologizing to slow the rendsezerük. It does not interest me. As of today, I ask my money back or else you yesterday erased by the court to take the case. And I ask the bank fees as well as it was not covered by the Account from which you took off the amount so exceeded the daily fee of ten pounds. It also lies with you, because I did not order anything. He can not say order number for the call center because I did not order anything.

On logging on to my bank again this morning they have taken a further 2 payments. I have contacted my bank who have cancelled my card and are trying to get the money back for me. I then phoned 0800 157 7409 and spoke to anamerican woman who stated you can not cancel via email as that is a 3rd party to them and they cannot cancel payments. She has assured me now that no more payments will be taken but they have sent more tablets to me which I have not recieved yet, I requested a refund on this payments and I would send the product back which she told me I am not entitled to a refund and they do not accept the product back.
I would advise anyone who has signed up as well to phone the no above to cancel it but if you want your money back talking to your bank would be the best option. Like many I have learnt my lesson and will not be ordering anything off facebook again!,,

  80. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have just noticed today that money has been debited from my account. I can’t believe I fell for this scam.

However, I have been using the product and have noticed a difference in how quickly I get results and my decreased intake of food. However, I do have a very fast metabolism and do exercise 3-4times per week. I just didn’t expect a monthly subscription as it wasn’t stated anywhere and I knew the trial would have been enough for me to get the results I want.

I can only hope and pray that I get a refund now. £94.97 was taken out for Ketone and as there was a special offer of getting Nutra Green free now £74.97 was also taken from my account.

Something needs to be done about this scam!!!

Said Id signed up to it even though I knew nothing about it being a 2 week trial and if the product wasnt returned within the 2 weeks then the full payment of £79.97 would be taken and further ones . I told her I wasnt happy about it at all as it left my mortgage short and being single parent dont have that kind of money to lose , she then agreed as a “goodwill” gesture they will refund me £30 …better than nothing but still angry that they have £50 of my money and of course everyone elses money too .

Apparently not. After they arrived my mum told me about the scam but I still thought it was genuine. I didn’t send the trial packs back partly because the stomach ache I got I put down to IBS and partly because I went on holiday during the second week. I have today gone into my bank account and lost £80 which pushed me into my overdraft. I was in such a panic seeing that and reading all the comments on this website but I’m pleased to say I just rang HSBC and they are refunding me the amount, the overdraft charge and stopping any future payments to them. They didn’t even ask any questions so it seems they are used to receiving calls about this company. I advise going straight to your bank and not even to bother calling the company.

Applied for FREE trial, two bottles for postage of just over £4, tablets arrived a week later, (7 days into the 14 day cancellation) unknown to me, as we were away on holiday, I was billed over £100 for what was supposed to be a FREE trial!!!!!!!. I then received two more bottles today, and was billed again for over £180!! Auto shipping contract con.. and not keen to refund. This is absolutely shocking, and should not be allowed to happen. 88. Nutra Green Coffee and Raspberry Ketones are both fraudsters. They charged me for products I have not received. I am surprised that credit card companies (Santander in my case) customer service after saying that they get many complaints about that company and agreeing to refund have not done so. Found out today, by accident, that they have closed the complaint without informing me or refunding. However, they cancelled my original card and issued another one to stop the merchant from claiming more money. Also, it looks like they are not willing to or care enough to stop this merchant from continuing to con people.

In the morning I didn’t get a response until I sent a second email as a reply from my previous email (with their order# and confirmation#). I received a response from them saying I needed to contact Customer Service at 1-877-687-6823. I called and the woman I spoke with cancelled the order. I said what about the 4.95 that is pending in my bank account. She said it was a processing fee. I said it was a shipping fee and since they weren’t shipping anything I should get a refund. So she said ok and I received an email confirming the cancellation and the refund. For good measure I cancelled the card. A pain I know because I now have to change all my payments that are automatic. But well worth it!!! Thanks for all your comments! Lesson learned. If it is too good to be true then it probably isn’t!
