Is the Regula RX Body Cleanser trial offer a scam?

Is the Regula RX Body Cleanser trial offer a scam?

Colon cleansers such as Regula RX have become incredibly popular over the past year, however despite their claims to help kick-start weight loss many customers have found that they have ended up out of pocket having signed up for a trial offer.

Regula RX is also available as a trial, and like so many other supplements available by this method there are a growing number of complaints that it is a scam. What is the truth, lets find out for ourselves shall we?

Claimed benefits of Regula RX

The following claims have been made on the Regula RX website:

  • Eliminate constipation
  • Flatten your stomach
  • Kick-start weight loss
  • Increase your energy levels

Now, these claims seem realistic as this is what a colon cleanser should be able to do. However, before we can verify these benefits we would first need to look at the ingredients found in Regula RX.

Ingredients found in Regula RX

The first issue you will discover with Regula RX is a lack of any ingredient information whatsoever.

There is not one mention of any of its ingredients so how are you supposed to verify the claimed benefits?

At the very least a list of used ingredients should be available, preferably a product label with exact dosages.

Cost of Regula RX

Like so many other colon cleansers available as a trial, it is not clear how much Regula RX costs at first glance.

As it is available as a trial you may think that the only cost will be the cost of postage, or perhaps even free. Unfortunately this is not the case.

Hidden away in the terms and conditions is the true cost of Regula RX. With the initial 14 day trial costing $5.99, however at the conclusion of the trial your account will then be charged $89.99.

To make matters worse upon reading the T&Cs you will discover that upon signing up for the trial you have also signed up for an auto ship program whereby you will be sent a new package of Regula RX each month along with the hefty bill.

Is Regula RX a scam?

Although Regula RX have covered their payment terms in their T&Cs there is no doubt that if you have signed up for this trial offer you are going to feel as though you have been scammed.

Trial offers like this are designed to entice you into signing up for them without reading the terms and conditions, which unfortunately will mean you are going to be in for a big shock once you are charged the full purchase price.

For this reason alone Regula RX is not recommended.

Contact details for Regula RX

You should contact Regula RX either by phone on 800-859-2916 or 800-210-7216, emails can also be sent to cancel@tryregularx.com

Alternative to Regula RX

There are numerous alternatives to Regula RX, however the one we recommend is Detox Plus, which is available to buy from Evolution Slimming without ever having to sign up for a trial offer for just $31.

Buying outright allows you to buy as much or as little as you want without the worry that you are going to be charged every month for a product you may not even need anymore.

  1. Yep, I feel like a complete IDIOT for getting caught up with the Regula RX Company. They are definitely a SCAM!!! I signed up for the trial period & agreed to pay the $4.95 shipping fee…PERIOD! I mean that’s what I read & interpreted anyway. I used my debit card to pay the shipping fee. (& btw, when I rcvd the pkg, there was no invoice enclosed w/any pertinent info as in a ph # to reach them, my account #, etc…NOTHING!) So long story short, I go to my local grocery store to buy food for my kids school lunches & my card is declined @ check out! I knew I had enough money in my checking acct @ the time to cover my grocery bill & my card should not have declined whatsoever! After being embarrassed with no way to pay for my food, I leave the store & call the bank and find out about the $89.99 fee that was charged to my account. It took me 2 days to find the phone number to these Godforsaken people! When I finally called them I was given 2 options regarding reimbursement. 1) They would reimburse $74.99 within 30 to 60 days AFTER I ship the bottle back. When I argued that’s $15 shy of what they charged me, she explained there’s a $15 restocking fee. I argued the fact how do you restock something that’s already been opened & 1/2 empty??? Her answer was simple: “That’s the policy….period!” OR 2) I can keep the product & expect a $44.99 credit within 3 to 7 business days. Sadly, it was a no-brainer for me to just accept option 2 & here’s why. The only way I would even CONSIDER to ship them back would be by certified mail, @ MY COST, bc obviously they’re not trustworthy & they would more than likely just say they didn’t receive my pkg. I also knew that time was not my friend in this situation & that the more time that went by my chances of ANY reimbursement would dwindle completely, so I settled on option 2 which btw, conveniently happens to be exactly HALF of what they charged me! Coincidence??? Oh I don’t think so friends! I think whoever thought this scam up is quite calculating & cunning! So for all you “free trial offer people” out there considering this deal….BEWARE!!! IT IS INDEED A SCAM!!!

    • Unfortunately, you’re not alone, as far as getting scammed. I purchased the Lipo-G Garcinia Cambodia & Regula Rx Intensive colon cleanser, but I have no idea how many I should take a day or if it can be taken at the same time, because they don’t provide the dosage. If you have any information you can provide regarding my concerns, please share. It will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    • Please do not fall for the SCAM!! They don’t tell you that your “free trial” is 13 days and after that they are going to bill you $100.00 each bottle which is $200.00 a month automatically. And if you do send it back before then which means paying again for shipping and handling… along with they charge you $15.00 a bottle for restocking fee which is another $30.00. It is hard to find a c I ntact number and when you do get a hold of someone they are incredibly rude. I hope no one else gets sucked in to this.
ou are not an idiot!! They have done the same to me. I am trying to put my review anywhere I can to help others not fall for the same as us. I am so sorry you have gone through this as well and there is such scum out there.

  2. total scam…be careful before signing up for a free trial, they will charge you close to $100 if you don’t cancel within 14 days and then they’ll ship you another order and you cannot get reimbursed except for the last order and even that is not 100%, they charge a restocking fee. These people are crooks and they’re customer service sucks.

  3. Yup total scam! They’d taken close to $300 by the time I noticed they’d just been crediting my card. And when I called up saying that they had no right to take money from my account, they said they’d take me to court. I just told them to cancel it and a hard lesson learned. Scam artists… unreal it’s an Amazon company who I’ve always really liked.

  10. This is a SCAM! I ordered this product in December 2014. I didn’t mean to complete the order at that time, but I had entered all the information and the product was shipped to me. When a charge of $99.99 was later processed at my bank, which I was not expecting, I called the company. I was given a RMA number and the product was returned. They received it 1/29/2015. I had been told if I called and gave them the tracking number, they would go ahead an issue a credit. WRONG! I’ve been trying for almost two weeks since they received it to get my credit.
Today is 2/10/2015. I called today and was told they verified the tracking and the receipt. The representative said they would issue a credit today and it should clear in 1-3 business days. Another runaround and delay!

  11. I ordered this product a couple months ago and unlike everyone else I actually read the terms and conditions and was prepared to be charged exactly two weeks after ordering because I did not cancel! This is a GREAT all natural product! I recommend this product to everyone! 🙂

  13. Wow I’m really surprised at ppl and the scams nowadays. I just bought both the products everyone is talking about, and I did read the terms and conditions! But no one said if it works or not…I still think it’s scam worthy because they are not upfront about the real price or tell you why after 14 days they decide to recharge you and it’s close to $100. It’s sad, it really is but I am definitely going to cancel before the 14 days of my order.

  14. I just ordered both products and read the terms and conditions, also called and got someone right away. Everything was explained to me in detail and I am excited about receiving my order; hopefully everything goes as stated. Summer is fast approaching and I need to be ready. I will give an update in 2 weeks.

  15. I’ve received this product, but have been hesitant to take the pills. The packaging doesn’t contain an invoice nor any contact information such as company email address, phone number or an official website. Not looking too credible for accountability reasons. Also, the ingredients are listed, but the amount of each ingredient isn’t provided. I’m very weary at this point. Darn, I wanted to believe this was legit.

  19. My husband fell for this. Ordered them and didn’t tell me. Our CC company called to alert to a suspicious charge (recurring subscription type) and I tried to cancel immediately and was told I had to wait until we received the pills to cancel. I didn’t call right away and missed the 14 day time limit. When the charge showed up, I called and they told me about the $15.00 restocking fee PER BOTTLE! I kind of lost it and told them in no uncertain terms that I would not pay that and I would dispute the charge on my CC. She said they would waive the restocking fee and would refund the $99. once they received the bottles back. I’m mailing them today. I told her I would be watching for the refund on my credit card. It’s not over yet, but if you stick to your guns, they will waive that fee. (Hopefully)

  21. I have the same story the rest of you have, only I discovered they charged my card $99.99 when I looked at my online bank statement so I called the number listed on said statement. I was told about the 14 day cancellation (this was day 15 for one bottle and day 14 for another) since they didn’t arrive at the same time. I was told basically “sorry”. Ok, I told phone person I would seek my restitution through my bank and claim fraud. They said “go ahead and try – you agree to the terms when you ordered”. Long story short, I forgot to call bank. I just received my bank statement a voila! I have two charges for $99.99 and two refunds for $99.99. It’s a miracle. Hope I don’t receive anymore product either since I told them that in my original phone call. Watching my statement very closely! However, I will say I think the products helped me lose the last 4 lbs. I couldn’t seem to shed, but not taking anymore due to other side effects that have appeared.

  22. I order this on April 27th and it came yesterday and after reading these comments I am kind of flipping out because I never have money on my debit card and I did not read the terms and conditions so I am calling to cancel any accidental subscriptions, but I have been on hold for the last 20 minutes and I don’t know what to do!! Please help!!!

  23. I ordered the two trial bottles. One was 4.98, the other was 4.99…these were the shipping charges. No, I didn’t realize it was auto-shipped either for a couple days. When I realized my stupid mistake, I immediately sent them an email canceling. This was done within the 14 days they allowed for canceling. They sent me an email response saying my account (?) would be cancelled immediately (I didn’t care about returning the 2 trial bottles for a refund). So a couple days go by and when I check my bank account there are two charges pending, one for 99.99 and one for 99.98. I was furious . So…tonite at 2 a.m. I called my bank cust service dept, told them what happened and the claims dept. has a hold on those charges. They research it and hopefully will remove those charges. They said they may need copies of the emails I sent the company to cancel the auto ship. I will never do this again. The packing slip that came with the bottles was very vague. Can any of you tell me the actual name of the company in pompano beach or Boca Raton? Thanks! One more thing…I caught the charges while they were still pending on my account which I was told by my bank, was a good thing, otherwise I would have to deal with this rotten company! Good luck all!

  24. Unforntunately for those of us who fell for this scam in 2015, the price has gone up. Its now $100 which they say is the cost of the product that they charge after the trial period (14 days). If you cancel and return the unused product they refund $85. If you keep the product they refund $50. I do have a contact phone number for the company if you’ve been sucked in. 888 465-8056. They customer service person was pleasant enough but seemed slightly brain dead. I guess that’s useful for a company that has no desire to do anything but rip people off. Shame on them for targeting people with a weakness and shame on me for not doing more research.

  25. Yes, this product is not a safe product to use. I am going to have to have surgery after trying to cleanse my colon. They are having to send me to a high risk doctor in Dallas due to my risk, local surgeon said I might not survive. SO PLEASE< do not order this product. it might kill you!!!

  27. I don’t know if it works or not because the first day I tried it was too strong for me so it didn’t agree with me and I have sent it back but if you do not catch them in 14 days to let them know that you do not want it you will pay the price be careful

  28. Thanks to all of you. I was able to cancel before my card was charged. They never informed me of a recurring charge. I’m unsure of the results because I am now afraid to take them
