What motivated Scarlett Moffatt to lose weight?
Like so many of us it was a health scare that motivated the 24-year old to take steps to lose weight.
Having visited the doctors she was tested for diabetes after going from a size 6 to a 16 thanks to her love of kebabs at university.
Talking to Heat magazine she revealed:
“I have been tested for diabetes because my BMI puts me in the danger zone.”
“It was a real scare and I know I need to sort myself out and lose weight.”
How did she achieve her weight loss goals?
Alongside healthier food choices, Scarlett has managed to lose weight due to her using interval training, which involves her alternating between high-intensity and low-intensity workouts.
“I’ve just started exercising quite a bit actually. I’d say I do HIT [High Intensity Training] about three times a week.”
This new-found fitness regime was inspired by her new boyfriend, Luke Crodden.
“My boyfriend is super-fit so it’s quite good having him on side because he’s quite motivated. I’ve got no excuse now!”
“Never ever thought I’d say this… I’m enjoying exercising!! Interval training is the way forward like #feelingcanny.”
What does the future hold?
Having lost the weight Scarlett Moffatt looks slimmer than ever. Whether she will be able to maintain the weight loss remains to be seen, but we hope she will be able to.
She certainly sounds happier with her appearance, telling her fans on social media:
“Feeling happier and more importantly healthier!! So proud of myself.”
No doubt for a while she will be celebrating her Im A Celebrity win, while also promoting her lucrative fitness DVD that is due to be released in time for Christmas.
