Simple fat loss tips

Fat loss is something that many of us crave more than anything in the world.

However, to achieve this goal takes hard work and dedication, otherwise you are never going to succeed.

The following fat loss tips should help your dream that much easier:

Fat loss tip #1 – Get stronger

It may sound obvious but exercise is incredibly important for fat loss. Of course cardio has its uses but if you want to see real changes to how you look perhaps it is time that you considered some weight training too.

Lifting weights will build muscle, which looks more aesthetically pleasing than fat, while the fat itself helps to burn more calories than fat even when you are at rest.

Some of the best exercises involve free weights, with squats and deadlifts being two of the most effective full body exercises.

Fat loss tip #2 – Eat healthy

Again this tip is obvious but there are so many people looking to lose weight who do not get the basics of weight loss correct.

Your diet should consist of mostly fresh foods (around 90%):

  • Protein rich foods, as they can help build and maintain muscle, it is also incredibly filling. Try to eat foods such as beef, poultry, fish, dairy and whey.
  • Vegetables and fruit as they are filling but usually low in calories. Many fruits and vegetables are high in fibre, which is filling so will reduce food cravings. Spinach, broccoli, kale, asparagus are great options.
  • Healthy fat like fish oil, olive oil and nuts are filling and slow digestion amongst other benefits.
  • Water can flush toxins, can reduce food cravings and is one of the healthiest drinks you can have.

Fat loss tip #3 – Eat more often

Instead of eating 2-3 large meals, break them down into 4-5 smaller meals as this will help prevent those sugar spikes that cause food cravings.

The smaller meals will also ensure you do not experience bloating that can cause you to feel self conscious and embarrassed, leading to possible comfort eating.

Fat loss tip #4 – Intense cardio

Although we have mentioned the benefits of weight training cardio can still be used to help you achieve your goals.

However, this does not simply mean a moderate jog on the treadmill.

For fat loss you need to up your efforts and perform intense cardio. Perhaps a little HIIT (high intensity interval training) will help?

Quick fat loss tips

Here are some quick fat loss tips we should all try to incorporate into our regime to ensure we reach our goal:

1. Buy only healthy foods.

It may seem strange at first, but try to avoid temptation when you shop and you will soon forget about all the junk food and snacks you used to eat.

2. Prepare food in advance.

If you live a busy life it can be difficult to find time to eat healthily, therefore if you can prepare your meals ahead of time all you have to do is warm them when you are ready to eat.

3. Eat at set times.

Rather than eating when you are hungry choose the times that are best for you to eat and stick to them.

Try to eat around 3-4 hours apart to ensure cravings do not get the better of you.

4. Take food with you.

If you are going out then you should take food with you so that you do not end up eating junk food because you are hungry.

5. Track your progress.

To give yourself the motivation to succeed and to see just how far you have come you should take notes of your losses, along with progress pictures.

When you are feeling like you can’t succeed, bring out this fat loss diary and you will feel instantly transformed with new confidence to achieve your goal.
