Simply Garcinia scam review

Simply Garcinia scam review

Ever since its first appearance on the Dr Oz Show you cannot browse the internet without coming across various adverts for Garcinia Cambogia supplements.

One such supplement is Simply Garcinia, which is available to trial. However, these trials often lead onto auto ship programs where you will be charged at the end of the trial and will continue to be charged until your membership is cancelled.

Does Simply Garcinia work in the same way? Lets find out shall we, and while we are at it we should look more closely at what it is made from and its cost too.

Simply Garcinia benefits

The following benefits have been claimed on the Simply Garcinia website:

  • Helps stop fat from being made
  • Suppresses your appetite
  • Increase serotonin levels – stop emotional eating

These benefits are to be expected if the ingredients of Simply Garcinia are to the correct dosages. We would have to look at them before we comment further on the accuracy of these claims.

Simply Garcinia ingredients

It is pleasing to see that Simply Garcinia has shown an image of the product label with the dosages in plain view.

Each capsule contains 500 mg of Garcinia Cambogia with 50% HCA, which although not as strong as some supplements is certainly okay and should result in weight loss. Especially if combined with a healthy lifestyle.

There are no fillers, binders or artificial ingredients, which is again pleasing to hear.

Simply Garcinia cost

The main issue with Simply Garcinia is its price, as although the initial trial is negligible if you do not cancel within the 14 day trial period you will be charged an astonishingly high price of £84.74.

Whats worse is that you will continue to receive further packages along with the hefty bill each month until cancellation.

Is Simply Garcinia a scam?

The payment terms are available in the terms and conditions but who reads them? If you have signed up for this trial without reading the T&Cs then you are going to get a shock when the bill arrives.

You will probably be annoyed and will claim that Simply Garcinia is a scam.

This is why you should never sign up for any trial offer without first reading the terms and conditions. The old saying is often correct in the case of trial offers, ‘if an offer seems to good to be true, it probably is.’

Contact details for Simply Garcinia

Alternative to Simply Garcinia

A proven alternative to Simply Garcinia is Garcinia Pure, which you can buy online for £39.99, without ever having to sign up for an auto ship program.

Each capsule contains 1000 mg of Garcinia Cambogia (60% HCA), but it is still considerably cheaper than Simply Garcinia.

Call your bank, explain what happened and deactivate your card immediately and order a new one, then they will be unable to take any money. This is what I had to do.

          • I too have tried the phone number i have been given 3 TIMES here in New Zealand and nothing. If i email them i receive Do Not Reply To This Email. For goodness sake what are we to do.

          • Hi,

I only received the product in the mail today (it took 1 month to arrive). Yesterday i noticed i was charged $98 for something and today i have been charge $100.48, but i o0nly received it today, havent even tried the product yet. I will be doing what i can to get my $200 back as well as complaining. This is just so wrong what these people are doing.

          • I too have rang & the number is disconnected, emailed with no response. Have had 2 amounts debited from my account of $104 and received no goods! Please if anyone has a contact number that I can call from Australia, please let me know!

          • I too did this, I live in aust and i hadn’t finished the trial bottle when the next one arrived, and another $103. Went from my bank. I went to my bank and they put a stop to the second amount going out, I got my money back.

          • Did you add a 0 before the number? Take out the 64, add 0 then 9801 0479 and I got through straight away to a very helpful woman!

          • i just saw $89.00 taken from my acct,i never ordered this product and going to bank monday morning first thing.

        • same thing has happened to me and i never noticed it. I ordered a trial for 14 days, and did not read the fine print. 6 months later and they have pocketed $1207.58 from me and will only refund the most recent purchase for $215. this is an absolute scam and they are very unhelpful. i spoke to the manager and she hung up on me because she could not answer why i could not be refunded for the money i have been charged even though i have all the products still sealed in their package.

    • Total Scam, just purchased the coffee bean and garcinia after reading the posts below I called and canceled to realize they still charge you $38 even if you cancel before the 14 days are up. Do not buy from them! They say they won’t charge you $84 as long as you cancel but they will charge you $38 when you cancel! This company is horrible and has the worse customer service. I called them today and told them not to send their products to my house at all and to refund the shipping and handling since I just submitted the order this morning. The lady argued with me saying we will still send out. She ended up voiding the $38 transaction and sent me a confirmation email. I wanted all of my money back including the shipping because they are not shipping it to my house. The lady was very rude so I hung up called my bank and let them know their are fraudulent charges on my card from 3 payments they processed which is mysimplydiet and the garnicia coffee. I had to cancel my bank card and won’t receive a new one for 5 days. But I will get all my money back and I want anyone who is looking at this product to STOP and not buy it. You will be upset when you realize the money they take. Hope this helps someone.

  6. In researching this and also checking out the “trial” to see exactly what is happening (as a health promotion assistant, I get asked a LOT of questions about this stuff, so I really wanted to find out for myself!)…I am about to learn whether this company fulfills its terms when its demands are met exactly as they map out. I have received confirmation of cancellation with the explicit details of returning the “unused” (NOT USED) supplements, at my cost and all the “return merchandise authorization” codes. I have also received the notice that if it is NOT received in 30 days, I will be charged the full price. I am honestly wondering they will claim they never receive the return. I will be purchasing receipt confirmation and insurance on the package, but we will see what happens. All in all, as someone who loves to research holistic health practices and supplement healthy living safely, I would recommend to ANYONE: 1) Herbal “supplements” MAY HELP when used in combination with healthy lifestyle and food choices, exercise, and the knowledge/supervision of a doctor, but are not going to magically shed pounds, fat, etc. The people that claim these so-called results are either starving themselves with 500 calorie diets while taking it, or simply paid to write these false posts to bolster web traffic. 2) Just as the review above, the old adage “If it looks too good to be true…” cannot be stressed enough. This company is specifically set up to prey on people desperate for something to help, with a litany of fine print, terms, and hoops. IF someone wants to try these products, there are legitimate supplement companies to find them through and purchase as a product, not a subscription (e.g., Vitamin Shoppe, GNC, even Amazon.com).

    • I have received the confirmation email about my cancellation prior to the trial period ending. But I have yet to receive the package. I am reluctant to call to ask as they may try to reactivate my trial period. Any thoughts on what I should do anyone?

      • I am in Australia as well. I called the company number and canceled, and they have taken about $100 out of my account, however it is pending so nothing can be done about it thus far.

Once I found out it was a scam, and after canceling the order, I IMMEDIATELY called the bank (I’m with Commonwealth) and they have canceled my card and I will receive a new one in 2 weeks time. This not only stops them from charging you but will also keep you safe if they end up giving your card number out. Additionally, the customer service representative I spoke with is looking into the transactions and will hopefully get my money back soon,

There is the system, at least with Commonwealth, where you can take money out of an ATM by using your phone – no card necessary, which makes the card cancellation process much easier. PLEASE call your bank and cancel the card. My advisor was wonderful and helped out more than I could have asked for!

        Hope this helped!

    • The 14-day “free trial” starts when you place your order. You will be charged for the bottles even if you haven’t received them yet if the free trial period is over. I thought I was within my free trial period but found out it had started at the time of placing my order, which really isn’t fair because you aren’t allowed time to actually trial the products. The guy on the other end of the line had such a thick accent it was very difficult to understand why I was being charged $81.86 for the remainder of the pills. He said something about it was supposed to be twice that amount but he was giving me his employee discount. Legit companies don’t act like this. It is definitely a scammy company. Please don’t buy anything from them!

  12. Definite SCAM!
I did read all the information on the “free trial” before ordering and did not see ANYTHING about “subscribing”.
They claim it is under their terms and conditions.
Also, when you receive the free trial there is again NOTHING in ANY of the packaging about the fact that you are subscribing and if you do not return the bottles, with RMA’s, to them WITHIN the first 14 days they will charge you full price.
BEWARE of this fly-by-night, shading, hood winking company!
BE AGGRESSIVE with them and they WILL back down and refund 100% of the money they stole.
I have confirmation #’s of the refund the dude on the phone gave me. Also have confirmation emails of the refund. AND the RMA emails.
Will be sending them back all the unused capsules (emptied of powder so I can see about testing it) per their instructions. We have also disputed their charges with our bank just in case they do not honor the refunds they claim to have issued.

  14. So I had ordered the simply garcinia 14 day trial as well as the simply green coffee bean 14 day trial and only paid the shipping fees. This morning I logged on to my online banking to find that there was two withdrawals of $98.00 taken from my account by the simply garcinia and simply green coffee bean company, which I did not authorize. So in total they took about 200$ from my account without any notice. When ordering the 14 day trial there is no warning that when the trial ends that they automatically ship and charge you an outrageous amount of money for another 30 days worth of their products. They don’t inform you that if you do not like the product or do not wish to continue you have to cancel your subscription (they also dont inform you that you are subscribing to anything at the time of purchasing a TRIAL of the product) now all of a sudden without any notice they charge you almost $100 for simply garcinia and if you also purchased the green coffee bean product you are charged almost another $100. I took the pills for about a week and 2 days and started nothing this very bad pain on my left side in the rib area and could barely move because it hurt that bad. I also experienced bad headaches and couldn’t go to the bathroom. I was fine up until I started taking these products, so I decided to stop taking them and see if I feel better and I am getting better now apart from them taking my money. Naturally when I seen what they had took out of my bank account I was furious. I immediately got on the phone and wanted answers and my money back. The first representative that I spoke to had said they can refund only 25% of what they had charged me which is ridiculous. So then he puts me on hold to go and speak with his supervisor and see if there is any thing else he could do for me. He comes back saying they can refund 50% now of what they charged me. I have no interest what so ever continuing to take these products let alone purchasing more to begin with. I asked to speak to his supervisor after he offered the 50% refund, he then puts me on hold and comes back saying that his supervisor has just gone into a meeting and should be available in about an hour and said to call back after an hour. So I called back after an hour, this time recording the conversation with a different representative. This representative wasn’t any better, I told her I was told to call back after an hour to speak to the supervisor, she said ok let me put you on hold while I check to see if my supervisor is available. She comes back saying that the supervisor is in another call and is once again unavailable and she doesn’t know when she will be available. So by this time I am done wasting my time and am now demanding a full 100% refund back or I will pursue on to take legal action. She said that in order to receive a full refund I am required to send back the product I have and I am responsible for paying the shipping fees (thats fine as long as I am getting my money back) . She said she will be sending me a return package in the mail and once I receive that and ship the product back to them is when they will refund my money and that takes from 3-5 business days. (I called them today Saturday July 19,2014 ). I will be posting any updates that follow.

  16. Run, don’t walk away from this scam. To enrol in this trial, all I did was click on the website to read about the product then close the website. My phone rang – an individual from the company called to ask me if I had any questions as I had closed the site without ordering. After placing an order from a very warm and fuzzy talking salesperson (stupid decision on my part), I had second thoughts. I had just been diagnosed with having had 2 strokes and also having angina attacks. I decided not to take any risks by taking the supplement. Fortunately, I had written down the phone number to call if I decided to cancel, although I had already sent them an email with that message – no response to the email. On the telephone, I explained my reason for cancelling the trial. I became irate when he told me to mail back the samples as the trial offer did not mention that requirement and I should not have to incur the cost of registered mail. He suggested that I should have gone on their main website and read the terms and conditions – I didn’t think of that when the sales person was calling me. There was so much static on the telephone on an intermittent basis that I could not always hear what he was saying so I told him to put it in writing and send the information by email.

I argued with her and said that I will contact my bank and advise them to cease any money being taken by their company. She refused to give me my return details until I got super pissed off. She got a bit worried and spoke to her supervisor – and gave me the details straight away. Very unhelpful and sly company and representatives!!! Always do your research first! 23. I agree total SCAM! I knew I had to cancel in 14 days or it says before days I called the number to cancel but I never actually spoke to a real person, that automated operator was like “press 2 if you wish to cancel…” I did and it took out $40 from my account! But it doesn’t tell you that thats gonna happen!! they leave it for a surprise! (Which to me was big cuz I only had like $78 in my account that I was trying to stretch for the next 2 weeks! till I got paid. Ugh.) realizing then that when I call to cancel the other bottle because I got both the garcinia, and the green coffee that the same thing was going to happen, I called my bank right away and cancelled my card!! I’m kind of lucky that I have gone thru this before with some product I bought from a tv infomercial but I didn’t know I had to cancel cuz they were gonna send me a product every month and bill me for it. So anyhow I KNEW that if I change my Bank card they can’t take any money out of my account. So thats what I did, just cancelled my card, didn’t bother cancelling. Let them keep trying to bill me. And I resignated myself into thinking I stupidly bought 2 bottles for $20 each! Live and Learn. NEVER falling for this again!!! and PLEASE PPL CANCEL YOUR CARDS AND GET A NEW ONE!!! THEY CAN’T BILL YOU.

So I guess I’ll have to wait and see if anything gets sent but hopefully it was all completely cancelled. I suggest if you order it, cancel it right away before they can send anything.

Phoned them the next morning and they claimed to have only just got my emails and that the product had already been sent out so could not be canceled. However, agreed to void the $80 charges. I phoned my bank and got my card canceled. The next morning I received an email saying that the product had just been shipped out to me, so I knew they had lied about it being shipped out the morning before.

I sent them a few very dramatic emails and phoned them the next day to tell them that I had recordings of them lying and that I wanted a full refund including the money that I paid for shipping.

I have also informed FairGo about this company and what they have put me through.

I will be disputing charges with my bank if they are not reversed within the next week and will not being taking their product as it is probably dangerous considering their whole company is a scam.

Hope my story can be of help to anyone 🙂
My advice- cancel your card ASAP.

  26. Why doesn’t the Better Business Bureau get involved and protect consumers. EVERYONE who was scammed should file a complaint to the BBB and maybe something will be done to stop these

  27. I came across this after ordering my ” free ” trial. Is this not false advertising to start with. As it was the same day I told them not to send it to me and cancel my account. After we went around in circles a few times with them offering me various discounts or trying to find someone else to have it. They agreed to not send the product and cancel account. Yet to see if they follow through.

They guy messed around and took his time and was very rude even tho I said it was costing me money as I was from Australia! He said he would email me the RVM, 3 days later and I hadn’t received it. I called again but I spoke to a nice woman this time who told me they were cancelled and gave me both numbers. I still haven’t received the products but after reading this I literally just cancelled my debit card. Do I still need to send it back or can I throw it out?

Finally, I received my products today! I think taking that long probably because delivering was from the USA.. And now I’m reading all these comments make me getting nervous… ://// so I would like to know… Does that mean they will take more of my money from my bank account 14 days after I received these products?? :(( what should I do now??

For simply garcinia not to charge you for your products.
You have to have your credit card cancelled and be issued with a new one.
After the credit card has been cancelled you have to cancel the monthly
orders on AUS 08 7100 1723 and write down the cancellation number.
I cancelled the products first and they charged my credit card $45.00 then
I cancelled my credit card and I am going to be charged – as it is a transaction
        pending.
This is the only way to stop the money being taken from your account.
        Hope this can assist you
I have rang five times and sent emails and the company tells me that I have
agreed to their Terms and Conditions.

  37. OMG!!! wish I had seen this before I hit the order button. I called their customer call centre number within 30mins of placing the free trial order. I told her I wanted to cancel immediately and not receive the product. She told me order had already been placed and shipped which is utter bull*&it. They have charged postage and handling already to my account. The lady on the phone said I get a 24 day free trial period whereby I can cancel anytime up until end of the month. So will see how long it takes me to receive this product, I’m now out of pocket by $10 and have nothing to show for it as once I receive the product I will have to send it back in order for them to cancel the subscription. This is an utter sham so BEWARE do not get sucked it like the rest of us!!!

  38. Like many of the viewers, I ordered both products, and researched after doing so. Once the product came, I sent it back, bottles unopened. I assumed that by sending back my trial products unused, it would be clear that I wasn’t interested in the product. I just received an email indicating that my next months shipment was mailed out on Saturday. Shocked, I called the number they provided and used the automated cancelling process; press 1 to cancel. They gave the confirmation #, but I didn’t write it down because I figured it would come via email as well, as this is what was indicated. Now, after reading all these reviews, I guess there’s a good chance that won’t happen. Also, when I went to cancel the Simply Garcina coffee bean, I was connected to a rep who did everything in her power to not have me cancel. First offered to take 25% off, when I still insisted I wanted to cancel, she offered me her employee discount of 50% off.(so nice of her, right? NOT) After long winded tries, and continual refusal on my part she said she would go ahead and cancel. She told me it would take 30 days to receive the refund. When I mentioned that I had returned the product unopened/unused, she told me that because I didn’t get an authorization to return the product; I would not be refunded. Of course, I made attempts to explain that I was not informed of this when I spoke with the customer service person, she told me I should have read the terms and agreements. I repeatedly asked to speak with a supervisor, and each time she kept telling me they wouldn’t do anything for me. I told her to let the supervisor tell me that themselves. Needless to say, I never got to speak to someone. When I mentioned that I would just call my bank, she told me that the bank would call them and the company would explain that I hadn’t followed the terms and agreements and therefore, I would still be charged. Oh, and she was quick to let me know that it was on recording that I clearly mentioned that I had sent the product back without following the correct procedures…. She told me that returned product gets thrown away, Not my problem!! But I guess it is because I am paying for product I never used and returned to them, AND they threw them away. Now, it appears from reading through these reviews, I will be charged a cancelation fee of $40.00. She was sarcastic, non compliant, and kept talking over me. She in no way demonstrated any customer service satisfaction strategies that she should have learned in training. I am definitely going to do as many of the reviewers suggested, and contact the bank and cancel my card.
Thank you all for sharing your experiences, it was certainly helpful.
I believe this company should have a law suit against them.

  40. I am a sucker also!
I received the 2 bottles and was charged $200 even before the 14 day trial had finished.
I called the company was advised i could receive a full refund. I sent the products back to the warehouse with the RMA numbers typed on the outside of the packages. It has now been over 1 month and i have not received my money back. When i call their office they keep asking for my postal tracking number as a reference to see if i have actually sent them the packages. I did advise them what was the point of the RMA numbers if they are using only the postal service tracking number? My problem is that I did use the tracking number service thru the postal system but the postal system did not verify the delivery. It is stated as still out for delivery! I have put a complaint into Canada Post. I am soooo annoyed. So basically, I have spent over $200 dollars on a product that I don’t even have anymore. I have spoken to Simply Coffee/Garcinia customer service people twice and they have not been very helpful. It is probably because they are tired of dealing with upset/annoyed/ripped off customers. I suppose I cannot blame them for being short of the phone. Be very wary of this company, it is certainly a money grabbing company. $200 for 2 bottles! Yep, got ripped off!

I called and was told I should have called before my trial date was up, and that my card had already been charged. My bank says they will dispute it when the charges hit my statement, but who knows if I’ll actually get my money back or how long that might even take. Also, when I tried to call to cancel these products, their phone “conveniently” was having trouble. The automated system was totally messed up, and I had to call back 4 times for each product. Then when I called to actually talk to a “human”, his phone didn’t work correctly, and I couldn’t understand most of what he was saying. I WOULD ADVISE EVERYONE – DON’T FALL FOR THIS SCAM.

The site said that i just have to pay postage which was only $6 i get the product for free and if i cancel within 14 days then i have to return the bottle (even if its empty) and get no fee. my order said that it will arrive on october 4th and i still haven’t received it. I’ve tried calling their “customer support” number and it says its disconnected. I have emailed them about it as well and still no reply! It’s only been 10 days since I ordered simply garcinia and simply green coffee bean but i didn’t want to risk it so i just cancelled just then. To find out that it doesn’t even give me an option to return the bottle (just like it said on the website!) and its charging me $38.71 for the simply garcinia and $32.71 for the green coffee bean! I am paying for something i haven’t even received!!!!! this is outrageous and I don’t even have a number or email to call someone and speak about this with! Not even an hour after placing the order, I called and cancelled the order. I argued with the customer service rep for 30 mins because he refused to cancell my order. He kept offering me “special deals” and “extended trials”. I kept stating I did not want the product at all because i had read MANY reviews that they have secret charges when offering special promotions. He goes on to tell me that all the reviews are “written by liars and competition. I should not listen to third party opinion just the honest opinion of the company.” I was furious and rudely stated to cancell my order or he would be hearing my my lawyer. 61. I am so frustrated with simply garcinia. I signed up for the 14 day trial, so I assume the trial begins when I receive the package right? No, apparently it’s from the moment you order. Ok, I get it that’s my bad for not understanding, so I called the line hoping to get my money back and cancel the whole thing. Their phone line kept going in and out so I could only hear about 30% of the conversation and she repeated what she said so many times that I could only hear the first part. At the end of the conversation (what I got from it at least) she had refunded half of my order price. I informed her of an address change so the package I assumed I was paying for for this month could actually get to me. And I assumed it was cancelled. A month later, I have another charge taken off. I am furious at this point since I am broke as it is and simply cannot afford something like this. It didn’t work for me because apparently you need to have a meal plan or something going. Anyways, I have spoken to three different employees. They all gave me the run around, they all explained why I was wrong A MILLION TIMES and I had to calmly explain why I was so angry and wanted my damn money back. Now I have to wait till I send my next package in and they process my refund request. They wouldn’t let me speak to any supervisors. I have never been so angry and have felt so fucked over by a company before. Bad karma is coming their way.

  72. I also ordered the trial before reading up on actual reviews. Of course no where, do they tell you that they will charge you after that 14 day period. I called to cancel my order and the first time that I called I spoke with a guy named Dylan, who told me that their System had “shut down” completely the night before and that I would have to call back in 1 hour. Upon calling back, I spoke to a woman named Ivy, who continuously tried to sell me on staying with the product, even adding more, multiple times. When I made it clear for the 10th time that I just wanted to cancel my order she placed me on hold “to confirm” that I wanted to cancel. I asked if there was a way to cancel my trial order as well, but got no response to that question, just her trying to sell me more product. She later got back on and tried to offer me a lower price again with “supervisor permission” of 50% with her employee discount. After telling her, yet again, that I didn’t want to purchase anything at all anymore she said she was going to “respect my request” and cancel it, but offered to still send me the 14 day trial for $42.67. Telling her 1 final time that I didn’t want to pay $42 dollars for anything and that I did not even want to receive the 14 day trial she said she would cancel the trial order, void the $5.95 shipping charge and that I would not receive any future shipments or billing charges & she placed me on hold again. She got back on and said my account completely closed. Thank God.

  73. I honestly don’t mean this to be rude but just so people can avoid these types of issues in the future. For everyone saying “I did not authorize anything other than a free trial” you need to be aware that that is how our new electronic age works, they put terms and conditions that state a disclaimer that if you accept the trial you are accepting the terms under the terms and conditions. You no longer have to physically sign a contract in our law, if you provide your info on the free trial page that says you are accepting the trial (including tems) with your name and information then you officially have agreed to all of those terms. Before entering your info for the trial there is a link to terms and conditions at the bottom of the page and if you click it the first thing it says is “TERMS AND CONDITIONS PLEASE READ THIS DOCUMENT CAREFULLY. IT CONTAINS IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS ”
This is a legally binding agreement (“Agreement”) between you, the individual, company or organization and Simply Garcinia (“we,” “our” or “Company”).By ordering I agree to these terms and conditions. I will be charged today for shipping and handling and receive a trial bottle of Simply Garcinia. If I do not cancel the trial within 14 days, I will be billed $84.74 for the bottle received. Plus, if I decide to keep my bottle, on day 45 I’ll also have my Simply Garcinia Weight Loss Program activated, where a fresh supply will be shipped every thirty days at the discounted price of $84.74 until I cancel. I can cancel at anytime or adjust my renewal frequency by calling customer support 1-800-635-2142 anytime 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Delivery time is subtracted from your Trial Period, and will reduce the number of days allocated to your Trial Period. Please allow 2-5 Business Days for the order to arrive. To extend your Trial Period due to slow postal delivery or delayed pickup, you must call Our Customer Service Department toll-free at : 1-800-635-2142. Generally we will grant reasonable requests to extend your Trial Period. If you like the Product and want to continue to receive it on a monthly basis, you don’t have to do anything else………
********** SO IF YOU READ THE ABOVE then I’m sorry people but it very clearly outlines everything that happened, and you agreed to it by asking for the trial.
I don’t work for any marketing I am a technical analyst that helps people with web applications and this is a perfect example of the stuff I try to help people avoid, do I think this site is underhanded HELL YEAH….but unfortunately everything Is legal and if you didn’t cancel before the end of the 14 days (from the day you initially registered for the trial) then you legally are in the wrong (ethically no, legally yes).
I’m sorry folks….we just need to watch what we are doing more carefully in this tech age where simply clicking a link is considered consenting to the page that follows and if terms are offered (no matter how obscure or hard to find) they are activated.

Just like many, I thought to give this a try BUT, yes, I DID read the fine print and was aware of the charges for going beyond the 14-day trial period AND the automatic refill, plus monthly charges. However, after reading many reviews, I immediately decided to cancel as well. I called 1(800) 945-2000. I received the automated response, but since I ordered both I chose to speak to a representative, long story short, she asked why, I told her the truth, (it was too much to manage and I did not want any “surprise” charges due to the delay in receiving the product, etc. She attempted to encourage me, but was not overly persistent. She did say that it was shipped but I told her that it wasn’t shipped because I just ordered it 20 minutes ago. She then conceded and said she would completely cancel the order. I asked for a cancelation confirmation, but she said there is none, but I’d get an email. I waited a few hours and after not receiving anything, I used the email address support@simplygarcinia.com and restated my cancelation request and requested a response. Interestingly, not only did I finally receive the order confirmation, but I received cancelation emails for both orders! I checked my credit card and, at this moment, I have no charges showing. I will check back tomorrow to confirm not charges were applied. So, I wanted to at least post this to encourage anyone who is skeptical, the company responded to this method. I will post tomorrow to finally confirm.

  75. Daren, you are exactly right. Although I still ordered, I was aware and I did read before I ordered. I canceled because after reading so many reviews, it appeared that the product was not arriving before the trial period ended, THAT IS REALLY UNDERHANDED. At the end of the day, we all want something for little or nothing and it is that urge that compels us to act without thinking things through. If I happen to get charged, I’ll add this to my LONG list of EXPENSIVE LESSONS.

    • I called and canceled at 8:14 am. I waited a couple of hours and after not receiving an email, I sent an email at 10:37am. At 12:20 pm I received a flood of email cancelations. Today I checked my card and it only has $4.95 “pending.” I will check the status tomorrow as well and post it here.

If you live in Australia the phone number is 08 7100 1720 in the US 18006355589
You have to cancel your account and be given a cancellation number,
      Write it down.
To be sure that no more money is deducted from your account have your credit card
cancelled by your bank and get a new one issued.
Dispute the $38 and $10 transactions with your bank and they can try and recover the
      money.
If the bank cannot help lodge a complaint with the Department of Fair Trading in Australia.
In the US it is known as BBB
The trial offer can be returned to:-
      Simply Garcinia
      Returns Department
      10701 Abercorm Street
      Unit 61553
      Savannah GA 31420
You will have to do this so they do not keep sending you more products and charging your
      credit card each month.
      Hope this can help you.

  78. I ordered from these guys but right within 30 minutes i tried to cancel after reading the reviews. I talked to the customer service rep to try to cancel and he just annoyed me . He told me to just try the trial bottle and that i can cancel by 14 days and no additional charges will be placed. I hung up and called my bank and cancelled my account . They had already charged me the trial amount within the 30 minutes. I cancelled my account right then.
Do you think if i cancel my bank card, will they be able to charge anything more.
I mean if i recieve the trial bottle i do not intend to even send it back because it is such a waste of my time. and these guys are a scam so i don’t wan’t to even speak to them. And they can call me all they want for this as long as they don’t have valid account information to charge to they shouldnt be able to do anything.
I cancelled my card and they shouldn’t be able to take any more money from my account.
Has anyone else done this and does this work?

If you have cancelled you bank card and issued with a replacement card they cannot
deduct any more money from your account.

The best thing to do is have your credit card cancelled and issued with a new card, as they
cannot take any more money from your account.
In order to cancel the deductions on your account you have to ring Aus 08 71001700 or US 18006355589 and when you cancel successfully they will give you a cancellation number – write it down.
Before you cancel make sure that you have cancelled your credit card.
To try and recover your money – dispute the transaction with your bank.
If you live in Australia report this company to the Department of Fair Trading I think in the US it is BBB.
I hope this can assist you.

  83. On 14 November 2014 I ordered the free trial and did not read the terms and conditions.
On 16 November 2014 I received an email stating the product had been shipped and in a few
days I would receive the order of Garcinia.
As I had not received the order I contacted the phone no in Australia and was hang up after
waiting 10 minutes. I then rang again and spoke to a rude customer service rep from this
company and she was also rude and she hang up on me.
I was so angry I rang back and cancelled using the prompts on the telephone.
I was to be charged $38.71 for cancelling.
I checked my bank statement and it stated that I had a transaction pending for $45.00.
I then found this website and it said to cancel your credit card and get a new one.
I rang the bank and they told me they could cancel the card but as I had agreed to the terms and conditions they may have difficulty trying to get the $45.00 refunded.
I still do not have the product and after reading all the reviews on this website I do not want
    to try the product.
I have contacted Simply Garcinia again and was told that I cancelled and under the cancellation conditions I have authorised the $45.00 deduction.
I live in Australia and am going to report this company to the Department of Fair Trading and am
trying to have my money refunded.
The best solution to stop deductions from your account by this company is to cancel your credit card, then cancel the order as they will not be able to take the money from your account.
If you get charged a fee, dispute the transaction with your bank and if you live in Australia report
it to the Department of Fair Trading for a refund.
I am now going to be very careful when ordering on line in future and will also made sure I read the Terms and Conditions before I give my credit card details.

  84. I have just managed to get hold of an extremely rude lady through the NZ number that I phoned, myself like the rest of you failed to read the fine print in the terms and conditions and ended up with a charge of over $200!!! and when I went back and read that I will automatically get charged for these every month ( which no one should be allowed to do!!!) I went into panic mode, I wish I had done my homework before going ahead with what I thought was a really good offer!!!! The lady I spoke to kept interrupting me and telling me that they will give us discount of 24% for lifetime membership!!! When I said no I just want to cancel she went away from the phone and told me that they have decided to give me a 50% discount!!! I told that she needs to convert that into NZD and realise that is still a lot of money and I dont want to hear about any sort of discounts just cancel it!!! Finally she assured me that it will be cancelled and they are going to send me email notification within 48hours, so now I am just hoping that no more money disappears from our bank account. From now on I will be taking the time to read thru all of the fine prrint and T & C on everything that I purchase!!!!!

  86. I was scammed and called immediately was told they had shipped another bottle to me through the auto-ship. I said I did not sign up for auto-ship and I am canceling my account. They tried to talk me into continuing with the product. I said cancel it. They gave me an RMA# (Return Merchandise Authorization) and address to return the product to when it arrived. Then I would get a full refund. NEVER received the product to return. It has been over a month. Will call again to see what they did with my bottle. Good Luck to all.

  87. I to have been scammed by this ridiculous system. I didn’t receive my “trial” product before realising they were charging me for another lot. I tried emailing and every email bounced back. I’ve tried phoning and was put on hold for god knows how long, I could even have a nap. I’m normally very careful but for some strange reason had a lapse in judgement with this. If I hear anyone talking about this product or wanting to test it I will give them bad reviews all the way so as to prevent others from being scammed. $200 is a lot of money to me and to be charged it without any authorisation is a joke. I know I will not get it back but I will at least try to fight!

  89. Hello everyone. I need your help please. I ordered these two products 3 weeks ago and yesterday i got Simply Garcinia. But I read the reviews on this page a week after I ordered and straight away I cancelled my debit card and got a new one. So my question is Do i have to return the bottles and cancel the trial and my subscription? If I don’t cancel, can they write to my bank and ask for the money for their products? Please help me what should I do now.
    thank you

  91. I have been charged the right amount as I called back to re confirm about 10 times.. I’m very suspicious about anything I buy online lol. I must admit I was not aware of paying for 3 months worth but after using the first month I was happy to continue. Besides the money scam, does this product actually work for others?

  92. I noticed that they deleted my previous comment. If you are going to sigh up for thsi scam then don’t put in your actual credit card numbers. Buy one of those pre-paid visa cards. If you use them online they work just like a credit card, except just put on enough money for the shipping for the trial. They are linked to your account so they can’t sign you up for any uot-ship. Tehn just call immeidately and cancel.
