Since its release in January the Sirtfood Diet, written by Aidan Goggins and Glen Matten has taken the dieting world by storm with more than 30,000 copies sold in just a month.

How does the Sirtfood Diet work?

The main attraction of this diet is that it is claimed that you can eat chocolate and wine, yet still lose weight.

The reason is that they both contain sirtuin activators or SIRS that are a type of protein that can protect the cells of your body from dying or becoming inflamed.

Research has also shown that these ‘sirtfoods‘ can also:

To start the Sirtfood Diet you will need to drink 2 sirtfood green juices daily for 1 week, as well as consuming a meal made from sirtfoods.

The Sirtfood DietThis first week you will only be allowed 1,000 calories daily. However, after this first week you will then be allowed to consume more sirtfood meals.

Along with the already mentioned David Haye and Jodie Kidd, celeb users of the Sirtfood Diet include four-time Olympic gold medal holder Sir Ben Ainslie and ex-boxer Anthony Ogogo who stated that:

Will the Sirtfood Diet work?

Unlike some other diet plans that are available the Sirtfood Diet does not endorse dramatic or unhealthy weight loss results.

Instead it focusses on boosting your overall health by increasing the amount of vitamins you consume. Weight loss is simply a by-product of this new healthier lifestyle.
