Is the Slimzene dietary supplement a scam?

Is the Slimzene dietary supplement a scam?

Over the past year Slimzene has been making a name for itself, unfortunately for the wrong reasons.

From auto ship scams to the faking of Celebrity weight loss there seems there is nothing the company behind this product are willing to do to make money.

Daily Mail Adele Story

Auto shipping involves a customer signing up for a trial of a diet supplement, usually for a low price, which is unfortunately not the true cost of the supplement.

The true cost is usually much greater and you will continue to be charged each month until you cancel your membership.

Its amazing that this product is still on sale after all this controversy, perhaps it has some redeeming qualities that has been pushed to one side due to its controversies.

Claims made by Slimzene

The following claims have been made on the Slimzene website:

  • Safe and effective weight loss
  • Reduced body fat
  • Appetite control
  • Increased energy
  • Reduced bloating

This certainly sounds impressive, but then you would expect to read similar claims on any website selling dietary supplements.

We would have to look at what ingredients have been used in the Slimzene formula before we can verify them.

Ingredients of Slimzene

Slimzene labelSlimzene is made from propolmannan, which is a scientifically proven weight loss ingredient shown to expand up to 200 times its original size when it comes into contact with water in your stomach.

This helps to reduce cravings and keep you feeling fuller for longer.

In studies volunteers who took propolmannan over an 8 week period lost an average of 12 pounds.

With such an impressive main ingredient it is a surprise that Slimzene has had to resort to such dubious sales tactics in the past.

Cost of Slimzene

Although Slimzene is available to buy in 1 and 3 month packages the real issue is its trial option.

The 14 day trial of Slimzene will initially cost £2.49, which is to cover the cost of postage and packaging.

At the conclusion of the trial you will be charged the full amount of £69.99, with further monthly payments until cancellation of your membership.

Is Slimzene a scam?

Slimzene has still got a bad reputation for its past indiscretions, the product itself does not seem that bad however as its main ingredient is proven to aid slimming.

Its use of auto shipping will no doubt lead to claims that it is a scam, but at present there is very little that can be done about them apart from not signing up to these trials in the first place.

When buying supplements you would be better off buying the product outright to begin, most quality products will offer a money back guarantee so your money is safe should you not be satisfied with your purchase.

Alternative to Slimzene

A proven alternative to Slimzene is Glucomannan Plus, which is available to buy from the Evolution Slimming website.

Although not made from propolmannan it is made from Glucomannan, which is also proven to help with appetite suppression and colon health.

This supplement is cheaper than Slimzene at £49.99 for a months supply, plus you wont ever have to sign up for any auto shipping program.
