Is the Super Ketone Plus trial a scam?

Is the Super Ketone Plus trial a scam?

With the rise in popularity of Raspberry Ketones there has also been a rise in products that are not only ineffective but only exist to scam people out of their hard earned money.

Auto-ship programs are notorious online scams but is the trial offered by Super Ketone Plus a scam? Lets find out for ourselves.

Claimed benefits of Super Ketone Plus

Super Ketone Plus is claimed to help:

  • Boost your metabolism
  • Eliminate hunger pangs
  • Increase your vitality
  • Tone your body

Ingredients of Super Ketone Plus

Although the website and the name of the product implies that Raspberry Ketones is the only ingredient, however this is not the case as it also contains Green Tea extract, Kelp, Apple Cider Vinegar, Caffeine and Grapefruit.

Unfortunately despite these ingredients all being proven to aid slimming, like so many other diet pills available to buy online there is no indication of what dosage of each ingredient is present.

Therefore it is impossible to know how effective Super Ketone Plus is, if at all.

Price of Super Ketone Plus?

Super Ketone Plus is only available when you sign up to its auto-ship program. This privilege will cost you a non-refundable £5.95, which will cover the cost of shipping and handling.

After the 14-day trial period if you have not cancelled you will be charged £79.95, which will then be taken from your account each month thereafter.

Is Super Ketone Plus a scam?

Unfortunately these types of trial offers are notoriously difficult to cancel so it is impossible to believe that Super Ketone Plus is not a scam.

The fact it does not show the dosages of its ingredients is certainly worrying, yet its claims will certainly ensure many people will sign up without reading the terms and conditions properly.

The price of Super Ketone Plus is also extortionate, you can get products that actually work for a much cheaper price if you are willing to spend a little time looking.

I would never recommend signing up to any auto-ship program, they are simply not worth your time.

    • I very much doubt that Dawn French had endorsed this product. Using a celebrity face is an easy way to get a product noticed.

          • I have just been told by my bank that £79.95 has been taken out of my account too. I rang number on Super Ketone container as I have no correspondence. I am so stupid to have fallen for this scam. I thought free trial was to try product and if you liked it then order it not send it back or you will be charged £79.95. They have cancelled any further charges from their so called office but apparently they were going to charge this amount every month. It is a real scam and I fell for it.

          • Ring 03454040506 very, very helpful

          • Trying to cancel my subscription, but not having any luck and costing a lot of money. A right rip off for superkeytoneplus and AloeFerox cleanse

        • Same here it’s seems impossible to get it back they are just offering me a 25% refund

        • Hi There is a number you can call 03454040506 Trading standards. I have spoken to them this morning. They were great and what Super Ketone are doing is a criminal offence. No-one would be able to decide whether this product works in a week. 14 days return no way. 7 days to try it and 7 days to send it back rubbish.

When asked how they could charge for someting never sent as she had told me the order had been cancelled. Her reply was we can’t always stop the payments being processed. Trading Standards here I come.

          • Easy done Jenny. I hope you have had no more bother? I managed to cancel quickly but not before my free trial cost me £83.97. I cannot believe how many of us have been scammed by this! It is continuing as I notice you did this in February It is now November and still going on. Must be legal as they are getting away with robbing decent people on a regular basis. I’d like to know how much they have actually scammed from hard working people?

          • Hi, i’ve just signed up for the trial – STUPID ME. Like you say, I have NEVER signed up for anything like that, not like me to fall for it.

I have emailed them immediately to ask them to cancel my order and refund my money ( i gather they won’t do this ). What do you suggest I do? any advise?

Should i go into my bank tomorrow, is there anything they can do without them having taken any money yet?

I’d really appreciate your help!!! 🙁

          • This has been going on for so
Long why has no body contacted the people who organize the ad

          • Hi,
I too ordered the ‘free trial’ but because I was trying to order from my phone, only the aloe ferox oder went thru,
when trying to order the ketone plus this way, I kept getting ‘bounced’ back to the same page, little did I know how good this would be, I ended up phoning the free phone number for the ketone, when I spoke to the young man (American) he said he could take the order over the phone for me, this he did, what he didn’t do turned out to be very lucky for me, you see he DIDN’T explain the T&C’s to me,
apparently in them it does say that if you don’t cancel in 14 days you will be charged £79.95 this is where I was lucky, when I found out they had taken the money from my bank I phoned them, they tried to fob me off with a 50% ‘good will’ refund, I would not accept this and insisted on speaking to the manager, when I did get him on the phone it turned out he too was American, I told him that ok I did order the aloe online and therefore should have seen the 14 day thing, but because I PHONED the ketone order in, and I was NOT told of the 14 day charge thing I was entitled to a full refund has it was their fault not mine, he was still stalling about a refund, going on about company policy etc etc, until I told him I would be contacting trading standards, my bank, and possibly the police as this was fraud and what they was doing was illegal in the UK of course he then did a complete 180 degree turnaround and has promised me a full refund on return of the capsules I have left, he also gave me a return number to process this, I will return them tomorrow, I have an email confirming all this, so they will have a hard time if I don’t get my money back!

          • Thats whats happened to me they took 79.99 out of my account i was left wiv no this week ive got three children to feed to thanks to them im skint, they said im sorry you cant have a refund because your 14day trial is up, didnt no there was one. Im disgusted in this pathetic scam!

          • I lost £320. They didnt deliver 1st lot 2nd lot sent back and not 1 capsule was taken hows that for a mug

          • two Payments £79.00 was vanished left my account overdrawn!!,I rang them up, a gentleman answered and said I haven’t read the term and condition properly.I have learnt a lesson by using my credit card to buy the free trial. Please do not buy any free trials in future

          • I ordered the superketone plus and aloe ferox on what I thought was a 14 day trial. I thought the price I paid was for the products sent. Stupidly I forgot to cancel within the 14 days and on the 14th day 2 payments of £79.95 was taken from my bank. To say I was shocked is an understatement no-where did I see this cost when I ordered the trial. I phoned to query this and was told that because I hadn’t cancelled I was liable to pay the full price for the products already sent although as I was argueing that the price was not justified she came up with that I would not have been charged the full price as there are offers on and she would refund me £79.95. I reluctantly accepted this and shall be sending them a letter of complaint. I looked on there website and no-where does it show the full price of the products and is now being sold at £4.95 per bottle, no mention of a trial and no mention of postage or insurance costs. This company should be stopped

          • Hi all the superketone website is a massive scam, i had no idea about all the additional charges. I lost 160 and was refunded 19.95, took me half an hour of arguing to even get that. Ive binned the product as ive got no idea what is in it.. hope no one else falls for this !!!

        • Absolute rubbish I have put on pounds and they wasted no time in taking 2 x £79.95 Report them and put on Facebook and Twitter

How can you trust the product, if you can’t trust the company? Surely they are supposed to have your best interests at heart, but clearly it is just their shameful tactics to extortionate profit! Are they really aiming to improve your health or destroy it!? It is underhand and it is disgraceful that they are getting away with it! Don’t be drawn in by their ‘ free trial’ they are a bunch of thieves! Our consumer protection agency is not doing enough about the advertising tactics of these money stealing machines!

          • I have just réadaptation all thèse reviews after getting my order today. They have cancelled my order and I have emails to prove it. I am sending back their products and will call my bank too. Their returns address is different from the address it is sent from.

          • Further to my comment yesterday where I phoned this lot and canelled my accounts – which I hadn’t known I had – I also received two emails confirming the cancellations, well today I contacted my credit card company and they assure me they will get my money back. they said they have been dealing with scam for months and these companies use many different names so take care.

          • will i be able to get a refund for this trial?

        • What a waste of money, have lost £160 tried to get money back but was totally refused, don’t ever be conned into buying these capsules you don’t loose wait at all a complete and utter con.

I have contacted trading standards and changed my bank details as I rang the company and they put the phone down on me.
I have a long slog ahead to get money back – I feel I have to accept I am down £159.90 as the bank wont refund me as I paid on a debit card.
Dieting anyway and don’t feel these products have done anything at all!!

      • I ordered the so called free bottle of super ketone + I paid around five pounds for the delivery charge on the understanding that was it . No where did they say on the website that money would be taken from my account or any more bottles sent . They came within two days and I thought great but on the bottle it didn’t say when to take them ie one in the morning and one in the evening it only states to take two a day . I took two tablets and by the afternoon I still hadn’t eaten a thing as I was not hungry . I ate at four o’clock and shortly after felt sick hot and dizzy . I fainted . I am fit and well normally and didn’t know why this was so when I got home decided to read reviews ( which I really should have done before hand!)
On finding this website I went back to the super keyone + website and pressed terms and conditions which is very small and only comes up if you click on it .
There it said they would take money from my account every thirty days ! I called the number which was American and the lady told me I would be charged if I wanted to cancel !! I explained that it was a scam and that it said it was free!! They do not deny it was a scam and said if you want to cancel because you can’t pay the only thing they could do was take 75 % off and if I paid an extra 20 she would cancel it . If I did not I would have to pay the full amount !! She said the free part is a fifteen day try and that they sent a thirty day bottle , I asked why and she simply said if I wanted the bottle it was 75 pounds . Again I said it was a scam …. No response at all only ” Mam if you would like the bottle you have to pay if not you can keep it for a discounted price to cancel the account .
I reluctantly said ok and with that they said good day and sent me an email saying the account was closed .
This product may well work over time I cannot say but what I can say is that IT IS NOT FREE and they will take £75 or 79 pounds from your account . I am sure if any one knew it would cost 75 pounds plus they would certainly not order them on that understanding . IT IS NOT CLEAR what it will cost you unless you look on the terms and conditions I would not recommend getting these off of the internet and would tell people to cancel before it is too late and they help themselves to your bank account . Nothing is free and if it says it is it is probably a scam ! This definitely is a sneaky underhand way of selling the product and does not outline you will automatically have to pay unless you phone quickly to cancel and pay a further twenty pounds

        • If only I had read these comment before I stupidly ordered the free trial !
We are now out of pocket for the sum of £ 82.90….
As soon as we ordered (same day) we telephoned and explained that we only want the free trial (10 minutes of being on the phone offering various discounts we still flatly said No) and that we thought would be the end of it. How wrong was we 3 days after placing the order and ringing them to say we don’t not want anything other than the trial the money goes from our account to theirs.
Just got of the phone to the bank and I need to speak to Visa on the morning apparently this happen a lot, just wish I had never ordered in the first place.
Be warned this is a scam, you could easily buy similar products from your local health shop.

        • The Super Ketone Plus is a shameless scam: I never received the original delivery, so was outside the 14 days cancellation window. When I saw the 79.95 charge, my blood boiled and I phone them. Some idiotic young guy on the other end of the line offered discounts and gave me the tracking number when I had already chased the delivery with them by email and mentioned the tracking number then. I am contesting the charges with my bank as fraudulous since 1. the original add did not point you to read specific terms and conditions, 2. the delivery was never received and no missed delivery ticket left, 3. they do not send further email to confirm charges made to the card (which reputable companies do and prove they are doing things on the sly). I will get this money back and will not let go of this matter!

      • They did the same to me. The date of my order was 18/06/2014 and the ship date was 18/07/2014 so I was unable to cancel as I was out of the stated time. Their comment was ” I should have contacted them to let them know I had not received the supply within the time” and I thought I was just paying for a trial and I would then contact them to get more. I have contacted my bank to ensure they cannot take any more and they said I was not the only one this had happened to.

I’ve got to go to my bank now and make sure that no money goes to them in the future. They say they’ve cancelled the ordres but I don’t trust them.
I ordered via a women’s magazine and nowhere did it say I would have to pay out this amount – I just wouldn’t! The raspberry tabs were meant to be free and they never arrived – I just got the Aloe Vera tablets which cost me £5.95 – and the extra £150.
I’ve learned my lesson – don’t buy anything from the internet!!

I only received my “free 30 day trial” last Friday 10 days after registering, thinking I had 30 days to trial. No you have 14, the thieving people have just taken £160 out of my bank account! Do not, I repeat do not do it. I cant do anything about it and its just cost me a significant amount of money to call their call centre in the states. Gosh I am so mad!!!!

Luckily, somehow I found this page and realised about this just in time so I go back to check their tiny link to term and conditions and found this evil fact of how they make money. I called them but the girl from customer service tried her best to stop me from cancel this evil subscription. I lied her that I just check with my doctor and found that both Super Keytone plus and the Aloe Ferox Cleanse will cause me a blood pressure problem as I also take another medicines. Even so, she tried to offer me a promotions or stuff like that but I asked her back, how would you expect me to buy a product I can’t really take? so she gave up and told me how to return it. She told me I must make sure that I use tracking service since she is not responsible for any damage or loss of it.

Has anyone think of petition to complain about this scam to any of the government bodies? I’m not a UK citizen so I have no idea where can we do it. Not sure if we can do something with this at Change.org?

        Customer Service

This must be the biggest scam going. I ordered the trial at £4.95 and have now had £79.95 taken from my Credit Card account. This was not clear when I placed my order.

I have contacted my Credit Card company to advise them that not further payments are to be paid to your company and they have advised me that my complaint is not the first by a long way.

I have resigned myself to the fact that, basically, I have “lost £79.95” (tablets are still unopened). However, be assured that I will be contacting as many people as I possibly can in the media to ensure that people are aware of this “scam”.

My husband and I run 3 businesses and treat our customers fairly and honestly – not something that you can say!. I am absolutely furious that I have been taken in by your advertising but will do everything possible to help other people that you have ripped off.

I am more than willing to speak with someone at your end (if you have the nerve!)

But after checking out this site BEFORE contacting them to cancel, I called my bank to put a block on them taking money from my account after reading other people’s dilemmas on here. They’d given me special number’s to put on the parcel when it arrives to return it to them by tracked post unused!

    • It took me a while to cancel this product, I rang the given contact number (08009098021) and was on hold for around 10 minutes, I eventually got through to a girl who was lovely but really didn’t want to let me cancel, kept offering me longer trials and discounts etc. I was persistent, telling them that the product made me feel ill (this was not true, just the only thing I could think of to say at the time so that she would cancel it for me.) Eventually she offered me the cancellation, either I had to pay £19.99 to keep my FREE trial, or send the remaining supplements back. I obviously chose to send it back as I was not prepared to pay for my free trial. All I can say is its a long process but just be persistent and say you are not happy keeping a product that ‘makes you feel ill’. It worked for me, hope this helps!

    • I was caught by this scam at the cost of £180. It took a lot of calls, hard copy letters and various threats to cancel deliveries and I am still waiting to hear whether they will refund the monies. Beware users of Warfarin (blood clotting and heart patients) – the action of warfarin is affected by grapefruit which is an ingredient of super ketone plus (and as one reply states – we don’t know how much in each tablet). In my first letter to the company I was in a helpful mood and suggested that they included warnings on their bottles about this – still waiting for a response on that one too! I also had a rather bland discussion on the customer services line whose only response was that it is an all natural product – didn’t address my point at all (could they confirm whether the amount of grapefruit contained in each tablet would not affect the action of warfarin?). My credit card company was very helpful in blocking any further payments. Please stop this company!

    • This may help some of the UK victims of this scam. I also signed up for the trial and did not spot the micro print informing me they would deduct £75 / month for a regular supply. Shortly after I ordered I was searching on line for more information as to how to take the product when I came across this website and read all the horror stories about people trying to cancel the trial and having money taken from their accounts. I then spent 5 days trying to phone and email the company to cancel my trial and received no response from email and similar demands for a termination payment from the phone calls. I finally contacted my (UK) bank to cancel my debit card. My bank knew all about this company and informed me that at one stage, a few months ago, they were receiving up to 1000 calls a day from customers who had money debited from their accounts after cancelling their trial. My bank informed me there was no need to cancel my debit card and they would place a block on the payments to this company. They wrote a letter to the company informing them the agreement had been cancelled and not to try to process a payment from me. They informed me that in huge event a payment was processed they would recall it from the receiving bank and impose interest and processing charges. In this way the company would be charged a fee for charging me and the payment would be returned. They said the banking payments system in UK made it possible for them to take this action. They also said since the banks have been taking this action the number of “fraudulent” or unauthorised payments have fallen considerably. My bank also said that since I have informed them of the situation they would return any payment taken by the company to me within 48 hours. The important thing here is to send the company an email (I used their info@ address) stating you have cancelled the trial and any agreement you may have with them and inform them they are no longer authorised to take payments from your account. Then phone your bank (card provider etc) and explain the position and ask them to ensure no further payments are collected by this company. If they can’t do this tell them your card has been compromised and you need to cancel it and re issue a new one. My bank were brilliant and a great help here. Good luck to you all.

      • Hi All, Brilliant advice sadly too late for me. I fell for this too, I saw the free trial on Good Housekeeping’s web page on 7th ~Feb 2015 and ordered the “free trial~” paid postage of £2.95 & £4.95 plus 2 payments of £1.99 for insurance. I would not have ordered these products if I had know they would cost £79.95 each, nowhere on the site were the terms and conditions visible. I realized too late that they were hidden at the bottom of the webpage. There was also no check box anywhere for you to accept them. Fortunately on Monday 9th ~Feb I read an article in the Daily Mail about this scam otherwise I would have been none the wiser. I rang my credit card company immediately to inform them and they told me that even if I cancelled my account and closed it the company could still take money and I had to contact the company to get the order and the autoship cancelled.. I rang them immediately and was told I could not cancel until the 20th Feb and the items had already been shipped. Surprise surprise I received an email just after my phone call confirming shipment of both items. I have shut down and cancelled my credit card and emailed the company several times and they still will not cancel the order or supply me with an RMA NUMBER so that I can return the items. I have informed them the account is closed and have cancelled within the 14 day period and have now had confirmation from my credit card company that this is definitely a scam and if they take any more money from my account they will refund it and then charge the company back for taking it. Hope anyone else who gets caught in this scam is able to get their money back. Best of Luck to you all

    • Please do not fall for this scam – I have a very hectic life and did not start taking the tablets when first sent. (my fault I admit) but before I knew it £335 had been taken from by account. They are ‘in the process’ of refunding £160. I have since taken 3 days worth of the tablets that they would not refund and can only say they made be feel very sick and constipated, I will not be taking any more so have 27 days worth of tablets to throw away that cost me £175. The company are not interested in any feed back on the product and are only interested in telling you they can not refund the trial. Think about it ladies if 50,000 of us take up the trial they make 7.5 million!!!

If you were taken in by the trial offer like me, do as follows:

      Report to Consumer Helpline
Get your cc company to put a stop on this company charging your account for anything further.

Write to the company telling them that law says that you can cancel at any time during the first 14 days and do not have to wait for 14 days before doing it.

    • My wife asked me to pay for the trial offer as she did’nt have her card handy when she noticed on line, not only did I get charged twice for delivery £1.99 and £2.75 but while checking my on line banking I noticed that £79.95 had been taken from my account on Saturday 24th January. On making contact by phone to my bank (Clydesdale Bank) on Monday 26th January I was told by the operator that this had happened to a large number of the banks customers and confirmed that in her opinion was a “scam”. I have transfered all monies from that account to another account with the same bank and will be at my local branch in Banff Scotland to close the account that has been scamed. Surely in this day and age when a financial institution is aware of this fraud it should be able to take action to safe guard their clients money. The address of Super Keytone is a P.O. Box address and the freephone number that I was given to me by my bank, is no longer available.

I ordered two trial offers from them this morning (30/05/2015) and only became suspicious because when I re-clicked on a link that I didn’t think I had completed correctly, it took me to an adult dating site. I got straightaway onto the fraud department of my bank. The trial mounts had already been approved and taken, so I didn’t worry too much over that, but I asked the bank to stop all further transactions and to issue me with a new card and new number, which they’ve agreed to do. I emailed the company (not much point ringing them) and cancelled any future orders.

  2. My Fianceè signed up to this an didn’t fully understand so she was a quite shocked when they took £79.95 out her account. When i called initially I was rather polite in saying that she didn’t realise it was an auto ship product and would they refund, and the result was no! The girl I spoke to (Erica) terminated the call.

I then checked their website (having a legal background helped) I then decided to point a few differences to what the girl told me on the phone and any loopholes they may have in their t’s & c’s and after explaining that, she spoke to her manager, came back and I got a full refund! (got an RMA number and sent their product back!)

This company is extremely suspicious as the girl on the phone told me that although they are trading in the UK because they are an American company they do not have to conform to UK trading laws! I would be careful what you buy on the Internet! Because companies like this are so amateur and don’t really know what they are doing and will take your money any way possible! Peace out!

I decided to call the company and they actually denied having an account with my name or my card number ( gave them the last foiur digits). I told them they were scammers and if I don’t get my money back they will find themselves in court. There are a couple of loopholes such as the cancelling. If you have taken the tablets you can’t cancel bbecause the only way is to send the FULL bottle back. so they cannot operate that way.
If you have paid with a VISA or VISA DEBIT call the Visa protection and fraud. They will cancel transactions and if you get anything taken again they will refund it. Their number is:0854 366 0391. Good Luck. I am still making a complete pest of myself with the company.
Incidentally they have a freephone number ( which ultimately they pay for so call this number and leave your phone off the hook. It will run up a huge bill for them!

The pills didn’t work and I was really conned by the advert. I have hopefully learnt my lesson too.

          • i bought this produced 2 week ago, when i signed up for this there was no link to reading t&c’s just a box saying ‘tick this box to agree to terms & conditions, notice a problem today with my bank balance, i contacted the bank and told me i had been charge £79 pound for it when i realised i told the bank what had happened then i phone the this company when i told them the bank would be investigating the person who i spoke to said that they would have to here from them for me to get my money back, so i rang the bank back & told them what this company had said and the bank said they couldn’t phone them i contacted them back the woman i spoke to was getting really distressed as i could tell in her voice as i threatened them with the police and trading standers, after i had ended that phone all i phoned the bank back and got them to cancel any future payments to them i have emailed the company stating i want a full refund then i decide to ring the company back and finely they said they would refund me with £59.96 and also with a confirmation email to say i will recive the refund with in 5 working days and that my account with them are now closed when i didn’t create an account with them, after threats with police and fraud squad and trading standers they say they are going to refund me with 59.96 pound just wait and see if i get that back, anybody got any ideas of who to contacted if i dont get this money back?

        • I signed up for this free trial. The two bottles arrived the next day. I took them for 3days and they made me feel so ill. I decided to see if anyone else had problems which was when I discovered this was a scam.I emailed the companies to cancel further shipments and got a reply next day saying I had to ring them . Went to my bank immediately to change my bank card. Fortunately they have not yet taken any payment apart from the delivery charges and my bank have informed me that they will deal with any future requests for any payment from the company/companies. I realise now how very fortunate i have been given how much money others have lost. What I need to know now is should I contact the companies again to return the remaining pills or just leave it and bin them?

    • Rory thank you for your post here as I too have called this company to cancel this auto ship contract on behalf of my partners, pensioner, mother. I had no luck in getting any refund or returns as it was out of the 14 day window.

Would you like to elaborate on here what the legal loopholes you used to obtain the refund to help out others who have signed up without fully understanding the T&C.

My partners mother signed up for two products each costing £79 so was billed £158 over 3 days. As a pensioner she can ill afford paying this much. I have cancelled the product which they have confirmed by email but I would like to claim the payments back.

Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

This is terrible I had no idea this would happen.

I have tried to ring the company and was told that their computers are down, I have now rang my bank who will now put a stop on it but I still don’t think I will get my money back!

          • You should be able to get a refund if you contact your bank and threaten the company with Trading standards. It took me a while to cancel this product, I rang the given contact number (08009098021) and was on hold for around 10 minutes, I eventually got through to a girl who was lovely but really didn’t want to let me cancel, kept offering me longer trials and discounts etc.

    • Hi just read your comments..The same happened to my wife..Actually conned twice as when she gave her details initially for free trial. They said incorrect details and then charged us twice for shipping @ 5.99 twice…Today the wife checked her account and has 79.95 taken out twice…Do we have any comeback ?

  6. I have checked my bank statement and like others have had £79.95 taken from my account. Based on their advice, I was stupid enough to order a 14 day trial of Aloe Vera Cleanse at the same time. A further £79.95 taken from my account. I have found both products to be totally useless!!!

I called them, had a lengthy conversation with Jaz (Customer Services) but received no satisfaction and definitely no refund. The supervisor refused to speak to me.

The fact that I was charged £12.90, in total, postage and packing for both products, when in reality both products arrived together for £2.20 should have made me suspicious.

    A complete scam!!!

I have spoken to an American voice called ‘Jen’ at Superketone to cancel any further deliveries. If I send this one back, I will receive a 50% refund!!

  11. Dear Customer service.

As you know from our two telephone conversations, I am very unhappy with they way I’ve been treated regarding what feels like the miss selling of your product.
I was led to believe that you were running a ‘Free’ trial for £5.95. I don’t understand why you don’t make the additional 79.95 cost clear on your website home page instead of hiding it in the terms and conditions. You mention here the £5.95 cost, and yet you fail to mention the £79.00? Also, saying ‘RISK-FREE TRIAL’ is also deceiving and makes us think it’s a free trial.

I ordered this product before Christmas and then by the time I was going to cancel it seemed it was too late by the time I got your email with the 79.95 cost that you already deducted. I didn’t get an email warning me theta the time of trial was finishing and that I needed to act if I didn’t want to continue. The ‘trial’ didn’t work for me. In fact I put on weight, and I also thought the trial was for the month duration of the bottles content, not the 14 days. Again, this is very miss leading.

I’ve opened two bottles, but haven’t finished them and one bottle is un opened. I’m sending them all back to you.
I was assured on the phone by Brenda that you will refund the two opened bottles at 50% of the cost you charged me for them, and that I get a full refund for the un opened bottle.

I only go one such refund conformation so far ( see below).

Please can you confirm that you are refunding in full the un opened bottle and 50% of the two opened

I’ve been charged an astonishing cost of £239.85.
    I’m expecting a refund of 39.97 x2 + £79.95 = £159.89

Please can you confirm that that is what we in fact agreed on our phone call today Jan 2014

      • I just purchased the trial offer for superketones and the other trial bottle and then i came across all of these people saying its a scam.
I quickly called the number you wrote here and got through.
A american man answered and i explained i wanted to cancel my order since i just found out that my wife is also allergic to some of the ingredients.
He was very polite and cancelled for me there and then.
I asked at the end of the call that if it meant i was also cancelling from the roll on auto shipping to which he replied yes and he was very polite too.

  12. A total scam! I bought on the basis of the so-called trial and indeed added the Aloe Vera Cleanse product too. Both are totally useless and, if anything, I put on weight.

Having paid the trial price for both items I was astonished to see on my next credit card statement that I had been billed almost £160.00. My card issuer advised that this was probably an auto ship program and that I should look at the terms and conditions in more detail.

These are conveniently hidden away on the website and there is no clear reference to the auto ship programme on the main ordering page.

I called the 0800 number a couple of times which puts you through to an operator in the USA and also e-mailed but no joy. I have put it down to experience but am deeply unhappy, especially as the product itself is completely ineffective. Had it worked in the way they claim it would at least have been some consolation.

  13. I was going to take out the trial, it’s free so why not?

However, it clearly states on the page where you have to enter your payment details (surely this should be enough of a Red Herring) that they’ll take £79.99 out of your account if you don’t cancel within 14 days.

Those of you who saw this but were charged before the 14 days, I have the utmost sympathy for, but those who didn’t even read it and entered their Credit Card details willingly without looking into it, what the hell are you doing? The following is underneath the order page, in smaller but easily readable text:

Thank you for ordering the Super Ketone Plus, the newest way to burn fat and feel great. Since we are so confident that you will love this product, we are offering a full refund for any customer who is not 100% satisfied, no questions asked. By placing an order you will be enrolled in our refill membership program. This program will charge £79.95 for your trial of Super Ketone Plus on the 14th day and ship a full-size bottle of Super Ketone Plus every 30 days thereafter until you cancel. 14. I spotted an advert featuring Dawn French explaining her weight loss. I opted for the “Free Trial” then found out there would be a£5.80 charge to cover cost of p & p for each product!! Then just as i had completed the transaction i noticed there would be a monthly supply at a cost of£79.95 monthly for each product, but that i could cancel at any time. A few days later i went on holidays for 1 week. When i got back i checked my Bank account to discover that£79.95 had been removed twice !!!! I still had not received the “Free Sample”

I sent them an e-mail and also rang them. I spoke with a girl who told me she was in Maine. USA.

She gave me a RMA no and has told me i will get a refund when the product has been returned. The same day the “” Free Samples”” arrived. This is a scam, DON”T touch it.

She said that a “trial” is for a specific time-frame (14days in this case) and a “sample” is free full stop! The money was taken out before the 14 day period twice which I have been trying to get back but so far not been lucky. I hope these people can sleep at night knowing that they are stealing peoples hard earned money.

I spoke with my bank the put a stop on further money being taken they said to ring the company and complain. It took two weeks to finally get through i ask why this money had been taken the said that it was the money for the product.

I thought it was free she told me yes the trial is free but not the product i said then your advert is misleading, she then replied that it clearly states that only the trial is free and that you will be charged for the product.

She could give me 50% discount but that I should have read the payment page which says that I will be charged if I don’t cancel. IT DOES NOT SAY ANYTHING OF THE SORT. It is in the terms and conditions granted but they know that no one reads all through them, I will in future.

In fact I will not think I can get something like this for the cost of the postage alone again. BEWARE!!!!!!!!

    Reply
  26. I believed the hype and ordered my risk free trial for a months supply paying the discounted amount.

I did not notice any difference personally for weight loss or increased energy so did not want any further supplies.

However, I didn’t read the small print and did not contact them to cancel the order so received a further supply in the post and £85.90 was automatically deducted from my bank account. There was no contact details supplied on the delivery note and I couldn’t locate my original email so it took a while on google to find a phone number to contact.

When I phoned them it was the wrong number and I was given a different number to ring, both in America. I finally spoke to the right people and they tried all the tricks in the book to make me not cancel, offering up to 50% discount etc. They kept me hanging on the telephone for ages while they went away to locate my account?

After some considerable banter they finally agreed that if I returned the product they would refund me and I had to get a tracking number. I posted the tablets back and after 2 weeks of not hearing anything and not getting a refund I emailed them with the tracking details and have now finally received my refund minus the postage charge.

These may work for some but I am definitely sorry I signed up in the first place and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone else!

I’m going to try and get it back through my bank but I don’t hold out much help. Beware it’s a SCAM.

  36. Go back to the application form, fill it in and go to the next page. It says there will be a 100% refund if not completely satisfied no questions asked. This is not stated on the terms and conditions but it is definitely there on their form.

I brought this to the attention of the polite woman in Maine who I spoke to today. She offered me 50% refund there and then. I refused saying it could compromise my claim for 100%. I have to wait until they say they’ve received my empty tubs in West Lothian and it could take a while. I don’t trust them.

I’ve contacted my credit card supplier and I’m hoping they will get involved to stop this scam.

Please contact your credit card supplier, just a call and a letter costs just a bit of time. Don’t just give in.

  37. Hi, I got scammed on this as well, had a right job to get my money back but eventually did. However, I have now found that my bank details have been compromised and they have been using my card to top up mobile phones. Contacted my bank who are going to refund and investigate but please check your bank statements to make sure the same thing doesn’t happen to you!

    Dear whoever,

I called not only to cancel my subscription but to claim back the money you took fraudulently from my account. I am aware that in your terms and conditions it states what you have done , but as I am no longer able to gain access to your website I cannot scrutinise, as I would like to, the finer details. I am sure you are fully aware of what you are doing , operating in the us but dealing in the UK claiming you don’t have to adhere to the same rules. well I am sure you are also aware of trading standards and there us equivalent, who have been informed of your actions and in due course you will be contacted by my legal team.

I demand a full reimbursement of my money and if not received within seven days I will instruct my legal team to continue .I will come down on you with the full force of my corporation if my terms and conditions are not met , the terms and conditions you agreed to when you sent me your email as explained to your operator.

I have photographed the unopened products and returned them to your po box number with your virtually impossible to get correct returns number. upon receipt of these, I have sent them recorded delivery, so I will be aware of you getting them, I again demand a full refund.

do not bother to send me any excuses or copies of your terms and conditions as I am not interested in what they say.

please do not take this email lightly for all things stated will and have been fully checked through with solicitors and will be followed through

  41. Hi Everyone just to let you know I sent my goods back after using half of them and then realising they had taken £79-95 from my bank account they gave me an authorisation code to send pack back I then made sure I sent it back paying for someone to sign for the returns I had waited 6 weeks and after trying to phone this morning without success I visited this site I then e-mailed them at info@superketoneplus.com and told them they took my money out of my bank within 6 days nullifying the 14 day cancellation agreement and I then gave them the details of who signed for the returned goods the date and time along with the returns authorisation code I then went on to tell them these were the instructions the Trading Standards had given me and that I had said I had sent them a copy of the e-mail I sent them… I have just received an e-mail from superketone telling me they had refunded my £79-95 with immediate effect….. I had not liased with the Trading Standards but hey fight fire with fire.. good luck to all with their claims for monies owed Regards Dav

  43. They took my money but I got it back. Here is how:
I ordered thinking I was paying for the shipping only for two lots of 79.95 to be debited from my account two weeks later. I phoned the company to get a refund (and cancel the trial), and explained I wasn’t aware of signing up for anything other than the shipping costs. They asked if the pills were working. I said I’d only been taking them for a week and hadn’t noticed anything. Even though I offered to send the remaining pills back they told me to keep them and I would be given a full refund anyway. Surprise surprise, no refund came so I phoned them again a few weeks later and they told me I’d have to send the pills back to get a refund. By this time, I’d already taken all the pills. They said they would have to go back and listen to the call where I was promised I’d be given a refund and instructed to keep the pills to make sure that is indeed what was said and if it was, they would honour it. Still didn’t receive a refund after that so phoned a third time a couple of weeks after that, first time the call “mysteriously” disconnected whilst in the middle of it and I phoned back straight away. Finally got someone who, after I explained the whole story again, offered me only a 50% refund because I was out with the 30 day returns period to which I replied that I had contacted them straight away as soon as I saw the unauthorised debit on my account and had been contacting them regularly ever since therefore it wasn’t my fault that more than 30 days had passed due to their inefficiency to process the refund they had promised me within an acceptable amount of time. I also told them that a 50% refund wasn’t really good enough considering that the payments they took were unauthorised. I also mentioned to them that their unauthorised payments caused me to go into my overdraft, incurring a further charge with my bank and that my bank had advised that not only could I take legal steps to get a full refund but that I could also get the company to cover the cost of my overdraft fee that the company essentially caused. I then told them that I thought I would try and first resolve the situation by simply getting the refund back from them and forgetting about the overdraft charge. At this point, they agreed. But to be sure that we were agreeing to the same thing, I asked them to quote me the full amount (£159.90) that they would be refunding as well as giving me a reference number in case I needed to follow it up again, to which they did. I was told the refund would go back into my account in 3-5 days. That day, I was emailed a notice that the refund had been processed and a few days after that, the full amount was refunded back into my account. The key points I think you need to employ when dealing with them are: 1. State to the company that you weren’t aware of signing up to anything 2. Keep contacting them regularly – don’t give up. That’s what they’re hoping you’ll do. They will probably put you on hold several times during any calls to deter you and sap your resolve. Be patient. 3. Make sure to take a note of the time, date, the name of the representative you speak to and a reference number every time you have dealings with them 4. Stick to your guns – do not settle for only half of what they took from you as ALL of it was unauthorised, not just half 4. They seem put off by the idea of folk going through their banks to get the money back. I think this might be because some banks have charge-back systems in place and can simply re-call any money the customer asks them to re-call. My bank doesn’t have this but Superketone didn’t know this and I used this to my advantage. Sounds like it might create more hassle for them (especially if they think they may have to cover an overdraft charge that was caused by them) then simply refunding your money. 5. Be polite and don’t lose your temper or get mad when speaking to them. Be calm and stick to the facts without letting emotion come in.
Good luck to everyone who is going through this horrible situation!

cancelled. Have been sent two emails saying my order has been made void, cancelled
‘Thank you for using SuperKetonePlus 1 Month 1 bottle UK. This email is to inform you that your subscription status has been recently updated and any ongoing or all future charges have been cancelled as per your request.’
Has anyone else had this email? I’m worried they will still charge me…

    • I have had this e-mail too. I wouldn’t worry as it states from them that we wont get charged, so if you do you have evidence that they said they wouldn’t 🙂 I also rang my bank though and told them not to authorise any future transactions from either seller! I got names from the people i spoke to in usa and i rang twice to make sure the second guy confirmed that the first guy cancelled it 🙂 Let me know how you get on x

Do you reckon i could just tell my bank not to authorise the transaction?
i made the order yesterday and i’ve checked no money has been taken out?

also do you know who the seller is so when i tell the bank not to authorise the transaction they know which seller to block money going to ? or do i just tell them what website i bought it from?

Im so gutted i’ve made this mistake 🙁 ahhh

    • I also got this email and they refunded me 100% in respect of the second batch but apparently I’m not entitled to a refund of the first batch because I didn’t cancel within 14 days. Like most on this site, I was unaware that they were going to bill me £79.95 twice. By the time my bank statement came through they had billed me for 2 months.

    • Hi Elly
I ordered the trail today then realised I would be charged £79.95 twice a month there after. So I emailed them to cancel with no response so it then phoned them, they sent me the same cancellation email along with a refund email for both products. Just wondered did you actually get the refund? And did all other payments get cancelled?

    • I too was misled by this scam. I did not receive the tablets for 6 days so the ‘trial’ would only have been for 8 days. I developed itching and they made me feel ill so I stopped taking them. I tried to contact them within 14 days but couldn’t get through- just put on hold. I emailed them and finally got through . they agreed to cancel the ongoing agreement but refused a refund of the 2 x £79.95(for ketone and aloe ferox) . I disputed this as I was made ill by their product. they didn’t give a damn. jut kept repeating that I did not cancel within 14 days so not entitled. I then rang the aloe ferox phone line. the person was helpful and apologetic and gave a full refund that went back into my account the next day. I have emails for each product stating the agreement has been cancelled and also emails confiming the refund. I tried to put a block on further payment at my bank but they were unhelpful as they said I would have to raise a complaint if they took out any further funds!! so now I feel I am going to have to check my statements carefully and frequently to keep an eye on it. if they do take out any more money, however, I am told that they theyn are in the wrong because of the emails they sent and I should be able to get the money back. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

  46. Hi,

I ordered 2 days ago, emailed to cancel and didn’t hear anything. Was going to phone but phoned my bank first on the ‘Retail Dispute’ number and they have blocked any payments that this company try to take from my account! Apparently 100’s of people had already phoned about the same product! The bank are sending me a letter so I have their confirmation in writing and said even if payment is taken they will refund the money to my account! I just got and email from Super Ketone to say they have shipped my order but I will just send it back.

Total scam.

  48. I recieved my products today (KetonePlus and Aloe Vera), opened the bottles (didn’t take any pills). Then my gut feeling told to do some more research and I got here. I read all the comments and wanted to throw up (perhaps this is how it’s supposed to work to loose weight?). I placed my order 4 days ago, so my “trial period” is not over. Firstly, I sent two emails (for both products, as they should have different T&C’s) with my request to cancel my potenital membership and reshipments. You never know, if they are going to cancel it or not, until they have deducted some money and as I can see, the process to get it back is pain in the a**. They haven’t deducted any money (besides the shipping costs) just yet, but I was terrified that they will, so I also went to the bank and cancelled my card. What should I do with the products? Or is there any possibility that they’ll “come after me”, because they can’t mess around with my bank account??

Even though I emailed after the first withdrawal to question and request refund, and explanation. Finally got to speak to someone on the phnoe tonight – They say its all in the T&C’s and tough as my “account” was set up on auto ship! As with others had no idea was signing up for “auto ship” VERY unhelpful. This is an absolute SCAM. I cannot believe how many people have posted before me having 79.95 a time being removed from their account.

    Be warned!!!

  55. Beware!!!! Do not buy this product – it’s a scam. Firstly it doesn’t work. Secondly, who would EVER pay £79.95 for an Aloe cleanse. I was shocked to open my bank statement and find that they had taken out £79.95 x 2 from my account. I stopped taking the pills after only 3 weeks because I never lost an ounce, although I lost plenty of £’s. I called my bank but was advised that I couldn’t get a refund, that they had taken another £81.24 the day before I called and a further £84.90 pending which the bank was powerless to stop. They suggested I call Super ketone to cancel my order so I checked the bottle and sure enough i telephoned on 0800 909 8021 whereby they informed me that although I didn’t see it, it was clearly in their T&C’s so not refundable, however, they will cancel further orders and when the product arrives call them for an RMA no, return the 2nd months products with tracking, post then call them back with the tracking no, call back to ensure they’ve received it and they will refund 2 x £79.95 only. Fingers crossed !!! What a con. I’m a low paid carer and can hardly afford that. Why don’t they put that info on their front page rather than ‘Hidden’ away at the end of their T&C. How can I get my money back? They should be ashamed of themselves! £160 – that’s almost a weeks wages for me. Annoyed with myself too for falling for it. At least the 0800 no is a free call. Also worried now that they may scam more money from my bank account. I had to borrow money to deposit into my bank urgently as they almost cleaned me out. What’s watchdogs tel no? They need as much exposure as possible.

I find it awful that you cant cancel your debit card to prevent them withdrawing money from your account and they can still take it. Is there no way short of closing your account to prevent this.

  58. Exactly the same thing has happened to me! I saw the advert on Facebook and the ‘free trial’ lured me to the website. I thought I was only paying for the shipping. I still have a week’s worth of tablets to take and then today, I went online to pay my credit card statement only to find that the company has taken 2 x £79.99 out of my account!! I can’t believe I have been so stupid! I rang the credit card company and they have put a stop on any further payments but I will still have to pay the £160 pounds as it stands! I phoned the Super Ketones Plus number and the man I spoke to told me I didn’t have a leg to stand on because I ticked the ‘terms and conditions’ box. Apparently the free trial was only for 15 days and as they didn’t hear from me they were entitled to take the full purchase price off my card!! I can’t believe they can be allowed to get away with this! They have said they will refund 2 x £11.99 on my card and they have stopped my subscription but they still have approx £130 of my money for absolutely nothing!!

I was led to believe that you only received them once and if you wanted more you had to order them. This has put me in a right hole now as they have taken £79 from my account without my permission, so now I have nothing left….this is my whole entire income for the week and I have bills to pay. The lady was very pleasant and helpful the whole time she was on the phone and explained everything to me clearly, and then went on to do me a full refund and even sent me confirmation emails. I’d already emailed and cancelled my subscription with them so she stated that they wouldn’t be able to take any further money for my account (I have blocked them through my bank just in case).Obviously i’m still not 100% happy until that money is back into my account, but with the confirmation of refund emails i’m pretty chuffed! Hi ,I am not agreeing or disagreeing the pill work and Yes we are guilty of not reading the small print or the T & C but i am sure that no where did it tell me they were going to take £79.95 p per bottle from my bank account if i did’net cancel, there is no getting away from the fact the add was worded to lead us to believe we were getting the pills for the cost of postage only, it is quite a slick add worded to make us think this , i have been on the feedback page on Facebook and let them know there are a lot of unhappy customers on this site will let you know if i get any reply from them i also e-mailed the website i used to get these pills and have notified the trading standards who are going to have a look at this i did try and go back on the site to check the T & C but message came up account suspended , regarding the customer service i have yet to get anyone to talk to me i get through then after a few seconds the line goes dead ,

  73. it is a total scam!! i have reported them to trading standards today as it clearly says on super ketone plus that you can have a full refund if you are not 100% satisfied. i also spoke to my credit card company and they are going to recoup all my money!!
they tried to get out of it by saying that it wasn’t in their terms and conditions and they kept putting me on hold. i pointed out that nowhere in the statement does it say please refer to terms and conditions so they have messed up there! as it was under 30 days my credit card company had no issues and have blocked them from taking any more money they were so nice as i felt so stupid! so please read terms and conditions and don’t buy these stupid products!!

    • I totally agree I too spoke to them today I responded to a free trial on 27th June and on 14th July they have taken £159.90 from my account they told me that I was given a 30 day supply and that the small print said it would be charged. I did not see any small print I ordered through website in which a reporter had done a free trial. I feel a right idiot.

  74. To stop company’s like these taking your money is quite easy.

Get yourself a Card-cash account or similar from your bank.

Never keep any money in it, then when you want to buy something just transfer the required amount instantly. Make your transaction and you new account is empty and these company’s or fraudulent ones are unable to get any more of your money.

Please get everyone you know to use this method, it will save you and them a lot of hassle.

  75. I also got scammed by these thieves. When I realised what had happened I called Rick on their helpline. Was told I would be charged for product as had passed the 14 days. He said he would cancel future orders on both products.
I asked for a cancellation ref and Rick advised I would receive an email.
    Email never arrived .
Unhappy at all these events I decided to take action, and I suggest anyone else scammed in this way take similar action.
I called my Bank and explained 2 fraudulent transactions had been debited to my account. They were very helpful, took full details and advised I would almost certainly be refunded by the Bank.
Note here that Visa debit card terms and conditions do state the card gives you protection against fraud, and this is fraud as this Company use deception to obtain your card details.

I then reported the fraud on the Police Action Fraud website, and obtained Crime reference number.

Finally I reported them to Consumer Direct, went via my local council after asking for Trading Standards.

Note, both the Action Fraud website and the guy at Consumer Direct both advised that the more complaints they receive about the same company or product, the more likely they are to take direct action against them.

I would advise everyone scammed by these people to follow same steps and make life very uncomfortable for these rogues.

    • “Thieves, scammers, rogues”. Really? Just read what you are agreeing to before you buy products online. Don’t hide behind your self-righteous pretense that you are a victim. NOBODY forced you to sign up for these trials and NOBODY forced you to click “I agree to the terms and conditions” after you freely give them your credit card and shipping information. What do you expect? NOTHING is free. A company doesn’t just hand out free samples if they want to stay in business. SMH….Bunch of ill informed consumers that refuse to do any amount of reading.

Hi everyone, I got the free trial and then seen them on amazon for £11.95 for both products so on the 12th day I called the uk free phone number and got connected right away and asked them to cancel and I haven’t been charged so far and that was 3 weeks ago now so I think you have to cancel before the 14 day trial period. Hope this helps and remember amazon sells the both products for only £11.95

  77. not only is this a scam but the actual products are rubbish. I have worked with nutrition for long enough to understand that these tablets will not do anything. its most likely that the american version has a different formula because eu regulations would not allow their formula into the uk. if you really insist on trying it make sure you go to amazon to buy it for a realistic price. These tablets would only cost a matter of pence to produce so whatever you do dont pay 79.95 for anything. good luck.

I have now received cancellation emails from them and they have assured me that no more payments will be taken. Fingers crossed x

If you dont like this and cancel within 14 days as per their T&C’s, do you still have to get one of these RMA things and send stuff back? I dont understand what you would be sending back if you use and dont want to continue.
From the sounds of the above its a scam, but I wanted to try for myself and have made reminders 2 days before the 14 days are up to cancel this.
Any more advice people can give on if this actually works?

  86. These people have to be stopped…I am in the same position as almost everyone on this page where two payments were taken before the 14 day period. I took these pills for 1 week and experienced awful headaches and sickness which then my GP told me to stop taking them…funny that after 48 hours I was feeling better. anyway I am in the process of getting money back from this company and have stopped all future transactions going out of my bank, Unfortunately the 2 original payments are pending through my bank so they may be more long winded.

I really do believe that they likes of Watchdog or someone should really look in to this matter as they should not be allowed to get away with this…..

they only way this can be stopped is by getting everyone here on this page to email watchdog who will then take it seriously if they get enough complaints….I wonder how they would deal with the likes of Ann Robinson in the chair!

Don’t take no for an answer as I wont be until I get all my money back.

  95. Please do not go near any ‘FREE’ Super Ketone/Aloe Cleanse trials. You think you are just paying a one off fee to cover the postage of the 14 day trial when in actual fact you are unknowingly signing into a continuous payment contract which allows the company to take as much as they want from your bank, as and when they want!!

You can only imagine my horror when I went to withdraw money from my bank to find they had taken £160 out to cover a supposed 30 day supply of the pills. They then proceeded to ILLEGALLY take a further £82 out of my account for an order which I had never placed which left my balance at NIL and had no money for 4 days until the company refunded me. The company refunded me £80 out of the £160 as because I had not read the T&C’s, I didn’t really have a leg to stand on.

Please do not fall for this or if you have been unfortunate enough to do so as I did, call the company up and they should agree to refund you half of the money that they have taken out of your account. I must warn you of the awful customer service in their call centre which despite being a UK 0800 number is based in the US??? Please ensure you read every word of the T&C’s when you are shopping online or just buy from a reputable retailer, as this is 100% what I will be doing.

    Hope this helps!

Thankfully I found this thread as I could not find details of them anywhere and they did not email me. When phoning them the American on the end of the phone tried to sell it to me cheaper with firstly 25%of each product, when I declined I was offered 50% off the products. I declined this again and was told once i had sent product back but would take up to 3 months to do it. After much discussion and me calling them scammers and what they advertise is not true at all. I told him I would take this to watchdog. He promptly went to talk to his managed and has offered full refund straight away of £159 which will be back in my account in 3 days as he told me ‘ I can tell you are distressed by this and we don’t really want to involve watchdog do we?’ We then got disconnected so I rang again and got a girl who confirmed he had refunded my money. I will be keeping a close watch over the next few days / months and once have refund and confirmed they have not taken any more money I will report them.

    I’m the latest idiot!!!

I know it’s my own fault for not reading the T&Cs properly, but the company obviously is taking advantage of the fact that people don’t because if they did they would never purchase the products at such an extortionate price when the same products are available from Amazon at a fraction of the price.

I also believed it was a months trial, I don’t believe there is anyway you would see any results in 14 days (which actually isn’t 14 days because mine took 3 days to be delivered) that would make you decide to spend £160.

They obviously know the product isn’t successful and they’re cashing in as quickly as possible.

If you come across this website after a few hours-one day only you placed the order, calling their number 08009098021 will put you to the customer service and they have to cancel the order(s) immediately. I called them around 7-8 hrs after ordering, after identification, the lady cancelled my account and sent emails about cancellation and refund (shipping cost).
I used the best excuse saying I may be allergic to some ingredients. There were no further questions or offers this way.
Earlier this year, I’ve ordered a product called Caboki from US for shipping cost, and that was not scam at all. We received the product without any hidden cost. So not all trial offers are scam, but this Super Ketone Plus surely is. Hope others will be wiser and do not attempt this trial.

  118. I ordered the Aloe Ferox Cleanse and the SuperKetone Plus introductory offer of £4.95 and £2.95 on 31 July 14. Received both items a few days later and noticed that they did not say when to take the tablets – just 2 a day so I didn’t know 1 twice or day or 2 at once etc. Googled the products and I came across this website to find out more and ended up reading all these horror stories! Did not need any more convincing and have not even opened the bottles. Today 6 Aug 14 I telephoned their number shown above (0800 9098021) to arrange for me to return them. Spoke to an American lady who just kept interrupting me and suggesting that “we take an alternative solution” I just kept saying that I did not want an alternative solution and wanted to return them and told her right there and then about all the comments I had just read and that probably before long she would be out of a job because this was such a disgraceful scam bla, bla, etc. etc. EVENTUALLY she gave me 2 RMA numbers (Return Merchandise Authorization) and gave me the address to return them:
    Nutra Labs
    PO Box 7574,
    Milton Keynes,
    MK11 9GQ

Next I telephoned my bank and asked that if any further payments could be stopped. I gave them the details of the 2 payments which they could clearly see on their screen and assured me 100% that no more future payments would be taken from my account.

I am definitely sending these back by Signed For in case they say they have never received them as nothing would surprise me. As for they £4.95 and £2.95 plus return postage costs then I will live with that loss unless of course they refund me.

  121. Guess what. I cancelled both Super Ketone and Aloe the same day I placed the order, it was on the 2nd of August, see my post from that day.
The lady was really polite and helpful, she cancelled the orders and sent confirmation emails, so about the refunds of shipping costs which were received this week without problem.
And just ten minutes before, a Hermes courier turned up, with both items!
    I’m really astonished.
They obviously did not cancel my account…
I called them right away and received 2 RMA numbers to send the items back to Milton Keynes address. I also called my bank to warn them.
The best is to not order at all.
Now, I can pay postage (definitely will use signed for option), and I’m not happy about it.

  122. Having fallen for the same trial ordering process as many others have i luckily did some research and came across this site which gave me second thoughts… Upon emailing them requesting an order cancellation i was swiftly emailed back with an automated message to which after reading many posts are never replied so i went ahead to call them on 08009098021 within a few minutes i was answered by an operater called Amanda who was very polite and spoke with an American accent, after all the initial name address order number details etc etc i asked for a cancellation she was very prompt and clear and only asked for a reason for cancelling they have now sent me confirmation emails one showing a subscription update which states any ongoing or all further charges have been cancelled per request another with a refund Notification which were all the shipping charges. I will be checking my statements to verify this however please note i did this on the same day a few hours after ordering before i received anything initially she said the order was due out already but she asked me to hold the line to see what she could do when she came back she said i have managed to cancel and void all transactions and close your account when she could have given me any excuse to follow the order through after contacting them i think they don’t sound as bad as many have made them out to be, i wasn’t speaking in an angry tone just normal i found the customer service level excellent and helpful but many have said they promise cancelling but continue to take money we shall see… But do contact them even if they take further funds from my account or don’t refund me at least i have emails as evidence to work with.

  123. Can’t believe I stupidly fell for this!! After placing my order (without reading the terms and conditions – idiot!) I did a little research and found this site. Enter total panic mode!! I found the advert on Facebook and checked the terms and conditions. Wished I done it to start with! I phoned the number given and spoke to a guy named Adam, again somebody with an American accent. After attempting to extend the trial period twice and offering a 25% then 50% discount he accepted my cancellation request and confirmed the shipping fees would be refunded and everything was cancelled. I received email confirmation of the cancellations for both Super Ketones + and Aloe Ferox Cleanse so hopefully that will be that. I’ll definitely be more careful in future!!!

  124. Take it from a women with inside knowledge. If you have been billed the 79.95 after your trial ended, All you have to do is mention that if you are not refunded you will be contacting your bank and…here is the key part: FILING A CHARGE BACK DISPUTE. Instant refund it’s as simple as that, It’s company policy. If you fall victim to this scam I hope my advise will help you. After they pull up your account and explain the charge IMMEDIATELY and repeatably state you will be filing a charge back dispute with your bank and they WILL refund you.

I contacted my bank fraud line and the sympathetic guy at the other end explained that over a third of his calls are to do with DIET PILLS. After telling me they will contact the company direct to stop any future bills and offering a full refund if any do slip through, I got 2 numbers from him. I contacted the company direct and have just received cancellation emails and 2 separate emails confirming a full refund and don’t have to return the pills? I wait with bated breath to see the outcome and will let you know how I got on. The numbers are 0844 248 1615 and 0843 504 3140.

  131. My elderly & chronically ill husband was caught by this scam & it was only after £338 had disappeared from our bank account we found out? Have successfully managed to get half of it back yesterday but probably unlikely to get the rest. Also in addition to cancelling the CPA with our bank, have cancelled our bank cards & replaced them with new ones so that Nutra Labs cannot acess our account.

Others have no doubt determined that the managing director of Nutra Labs Ltd is 33 year old Shawn Paul Wakefield. We have not managed to track him down as he appears to outsource most of the up front work to other companies & the Nutra Lab web site gives no proper contact information.Shipping & returns to a World Fulfillment Ltd [warehouse on an industrial estate in Milton Keynes, the Regent St address is a “service address” offering various services to dubious companies, My impression is that customer care is not a call centre, but individuals working from home.

However it would appear that Mr Wakefield is moving on to new & potentially lucrative things.
Three new companies were incorporated 20th August 2014 namely –

    Aimee Labs Ltd
    Aimee Cosmetics Ltd
    Aimee Skin Care Ltd

Recognise a theme? Shawn Paul Wakefield is the managing director.

    Buyer beware?

    • It’s a call center. I know people who have worked customer service for nutra labs. It’s based in the United States. It’s easy to get refunded all you have to do is tell the customer service representative if your money is not refunded you WILL BE (but have not as of yet) filing a charge back dispute. It costs companies like this more money than it’s worth to dispute charges so they will just refund them to save time and money.

Also fills your bowels (i do not know what this is called medically) So eating more roughage would save you loads of money instead of paying for this scam.
HOWEVER THE WORST PART OF ALL THIS IS THE FACT THEY WILL CON YOU ON THE CANCELATION DETAILS. THEY USE THE DAY OF ORDERING AS THE 1st DAY OF THE 14 day TRIAL PERIOD, CONSIDERING YOU DONT GET IT FOR FOUR DAYS.YOU HAVE ONLY NINE DAYS TO CANCEL OTHERWISE THEY CHARGE YOU FOR THE PRODUCTS IN MY CASE IT WAS £79.95 for the keyone plus and £79.95 for aloe vera cleanse ON THE LAST DAY>
Unless you have more money to waste on a legal case you will never get it back.

Called the company and asked for a full refund. Initially I was told no and was informed about the ‘terms and conditions’ I agreed to. No person in their right mind would pay £79.95 for 1 bottle of tablets a month when 2 is required and I told them as such. I told the person should i not receive a full refund I would raise a dispute with my card issuer. She did try and ‘offer’ 25% back then there was an offer of £79.95 back. After she ‘spoke to her manager’ I got a full refund and got 2 RMA numbers and address to send the tablets back to.

I wont be doing this until my money is refunded which was said 3-5 working days so will wait and see.

The bank insisted they send me a cancellation notice as proof that I no longer have any type of contract with them. I have received it. If you stop point of sale (POS) transactions with your bank and they do take any more money this would be refundable via the bank.

Send cancel email to Ketone and Aloe as soon as you can (even though you will still need to go through the cancellation process). Keep copy.
Alert your Credit or Debit Card disputes team instantly. Tell them about some of these stories.
However, they may be already be aware.
The bank should then take the date of your cancellation as the email cancellation date.
Nat West were brilliant and have said they will block any payments made and/or if they change identity to try and take money then the bank should refund.
You still need to comply with the cancellation process if you receive goods – send them back by return.

  154. I just thought I would post the terms & conditions to make them more accessible to potential buyers..
Please be aware of what you are signing up to.

Like most here I ordered Super Ketone + and Aloe Ferox Cleanse thinking that paying the P&P was it and awaited my product. Nine days in no product. I decided to research & read reviews and was totally horrified when I saw what people had and obviously are still experiencing. The amount of money that’s been mentioned as taken is absolutely scandalous.
My first step was to contact my bank and cancel my card( inconvenient but a little more reassuring), also get all future attempts from this company to debit money blocked. Then I wrote a heavily ladened email cancelling my unsuspected Auto-Shipment enrolment Exclaiming that I’m still within the 14 day Trial period and under no obligation to pay another penny. That was sent individually to both the Super Ketone and Aloe Ferox support email addresses. Received a response directing me to call their Customer Service Desk. It’s a 0800 number but based in the states..Interesting.
After reading the reviews here I prepared myself for a combative conversation especially after I voiced my concerns, Much to my surprise It wasn’t the case. Yes they tried their best to assure me about the product and to keep my custom by offering me discounts, extensions and further discounts but I kept to my guns and calmly but firmly declined. Once they noticed I wasn’t shifting they were polite and helpful. Gave me RMA codes without prompting to return the products, products I still hadn’t received.
Within a short time of ending my conversation I received an email stating my subscription was cancelled.
Still concerned that I hadn’t received the product that had apparently been dispatched I needed to know if I was going to be charged under their T’s & C’s. I promptly received a response saying the account is now closed and to keep the product at no extra cost.

Maybe I was one of the lucky ones but my whole experience from first email to last inclusive of phone calls has been
nothing short of pleasant…Many including myself based on reviews might even say a Miraculous.
Unfortunately I know this won’t be of much help if any to those of you who have already lost sums of money.
Note: If you’ve got time to dissect the T’s & C’s above there’s potential Loopholes which might be in your favour.

To anyone who is in the 14 day “Trial” period and not already been charged I hope this will be of some help.
On a personal level I found keeping calm and even using the charm offensive to a point may have added to my final outcome.

Peace & Good luck to all.

  155. I also feel a muppet getting caught with this.

Anyway as someone commented well up this thread, on page 2, when you order there is a statement:

‘Since we are so confident that you will love this product, we are offering a full refund for any customer who is not 100% satisfied! no questions asked’.

I just quoted this to them, and they say they will refund.. (was some arguing about t&c’s, I kept repeating that this statement contradicts this). I also said I would go to my credit card company for a charge back if they didn’t agree.

    So a success for me.

If you want to see this comment for yourself, go onto their website superketoneplus.com, put in some rubbish for name, etc to get to the 2nd page – in miniature print at the bottom.

    Good luck

I rang them. They, of course, told me that I had signed up to their terms and conditions so there was nothing they could do. I told them that under their terms and conditions, I was dissatisfied with their product and wanted a refund. There was no way she would budge, but there was no way I would either. I stayed on the phone for an hour and kept arguing. In the end, she spoke to a supervisor and they agreed to refund 50% of the £160 they have taken out of my account and I have also cancelled any further dealings with them. not a completely ideal outcome I know but better than nothing.

I rang them again and said they should have given me a full refund and not just 50% – and they did and have sent e mail confirmation for the full amounts. So, my advice is, don’t give up and Colin’s clever spotting of the “full refund” tipped the balance. Thank you again.

Which is the line I got when I called. You have to threatened to file a dispute with your bank and then they will refund you. It costs them more money to fight a dispute then to just refund it.

Like so many people, I did not see anywhere on the advert that I would be charged £79.95 after 14 days if I hadn’t returned the product – how can you trial what you believe is a free product and return it at the same time! I ORDERED THE 2 RELATED PRODUCT so I expected to see two postage charges on my credit card statement but what I wasn’t expecting was 2x £79.95 payments I immediately contacted my credit card company and was told that my situation was a common occurrence -not reading the ‘small print’. I’m not entitled to any refund from the credit card company apparently because I received the goods. I got the credit card company to change my card number and to put a block on any further payments so If any further charges appear, the bank will refund me these payments. The bank suggested I deal with the company direct and gave me the tel. no 0800 9098021 but think this could be a waste of time- just adding to my stress level. I feel I have to accept I am down £159.90.

  170. I feel like I’m part of a very large “club”. I got caught by this mob too and I can’t believe how stupid I’ve been. I phoned the company and also got a very smug American man telling me all about the postage costs and the £79.95 cost. I am usually very careful about buying online but failed to see anything about this charge. I too thought it was a “trial” and if it worked would buy more. I’ve phoned my bank and they have said they will try to get my money back, and will put a stop on any further payments going out to these scammers. I am an overweight pensioner and was just trying to see if there was anything, anything, anything that would help me to reduce my weight – all I’ve lost is £160!!!!!! I am trying not to get too cross – there are worse things going on in the world – but I feel badly let down by this company and its employees.

  171. IT IS A SCAM. The sign up, invoice and confirmation emails do not state that it’s a 14 day trial or that you will be charged £79.95. I understood I was signing up for a one off, one month supply costing £7.90. When I called Customer Service – they were not helpful at all – not what I would classify as customer service. DO NOT USE SUPER KETONE PLUS. Do I feel like an idiot!?

Got two e-mails confirming cancellation, will go to bank in morning. Has anyone who has cancelled straight away had the money taken anyway?

    • I had the same experienced last month, i just ordered online the free trial and paid postage charge of £2.99, and i was surprised when after 10 days they charge me £79.95 on my credit card, i immediately rang the ketone company and shouted over the phone because they said this is a bottle charge, and i rang my bank in dispute department to report the incident, ketone immediately cancelled and refund back the payment to my account after 2 days, they are scam..

  173. I can’t believe I have also been scammed – I am usually so careful and I now nothings “free” – why oh why did I fall for this? I called the number and they flatly refused to refund the amount – I have emailed the company, asking them to reconsider the refund.

I contacted my bank for advice – as I paid by debit card, who have advised me if they refused to refund me to report it through my banks Retail Disputes Unit, who will act on my behalf. They have also advised me to cancel my card to prevent them taking anymore money, as it would appear the cancellations do not stop further payment. I have also alerted Martin Lewis and friends on facebook.

  181. Hi everyone, I just want to offer a bit of advice to those who haven’t managed to get a refund. I got mine today! I also fell for their persuasive advertising, it popped up in the middle of the night while I was feeding my baby, and I thought, ooh worth a go – only got to pay p&p…
I found the info on this forum very useful, and used it to get my money back. Basically I phoned them and said, ‘I would like to send back my unopened bottles you sent me for a full refund please. I was unaware that they would cost so much, and I’m not willing to pay that. So please give me an RMA number so that I can send them back to you. I know you can do it as I’ve read online that you have refunded people.’ With that I was given two RMA numbers, one for the super ketone, and one for the aloe verox. I posted them recorded delivery, and followed up with a phone call a few days later. The man I spoke to said that I should not have been told I could get a refund, but as I had, he would refund me. And I received a full refund of £159 today! I hope that helps, and that more people get their money back from this horrible company!!

  182. What can I add that has not already been said ? What a marvelous scam , and I am quite cautious by nature . I looked at the site prior to handing over my fiver and tried the tablets . If there was a benefit it was very slight . The shock and annoyance at finding a debit for £47.95 next month was nothing compared with what I felt when Barclaycard told me there was nothing I could do about it . The operative at BC knew all about it and had fielded dozens of calls like mine and promised that I would not be charged a second time . The impotence felt when preparing to tackle the supplier is frustrating because you know you will get nowhere . Where is Ester Rantzen or Ann Robinson when you need them ? I would be interested to know how much this con has earned them and how much damage it has done to reputable sellers . Hopefully I will be £47.95 wiser next time because any lesson you pay for is hopefully worth it .

  185. Like the others I would NOT order this product it is a SCAM. I did get my product, and paid a small sum. They then took out of my account 2 smaller sums of money for postage and packing which I wasn’t expecting, but didn’t pursue has it was only small amounts. They then took 2 lots of £79.95 from my account. I rang them and they refused to refund the money. Their terms and conditions on the website state that after 14 days if the product is not returned they will bill you. You can hardly read the terms & conditions and there is no box to tick to say I read them on purchase. I’ve sort legal advice and written to them & i’ve also contacted my bank and cancelled any further payments. Unfortunately my bank informed me this sadly happens a lot. I purchase lots of items online and I’ve never been scammed like this before. I feel foolish that i fell for it. Lesson learnt – After reading other comments on here i’m not hoping to get my money back. People like this need to be stopped and tighter regulations need to be enforced to protect the consumer.

  186. I feel so stupid that I was fooled into ordering this rubbish – I took one cleansing tablet and spent the rest of the day on the loo! Hadn’t realised it was a 14 day trial – no T&C really clear. I just got my credit card statement and saw the 2 £79.95 amounts. Found this site and saw all previous comments so rang them and cancelled any further amounts coming out. Also rang my credit card company and stopped any other payments coming out. They have clawed back the 2 amounts as well which surprised me (Natwest Mastercard ) Apparently the credit card companies are having to deal with huge volumes of exactly these scams. I feel so stupid that I fell for this – I don’t even need to lose much weight!! Good luck to all of you in getting your money back – I always use my credit card to pay on internet – at least I got it partially right!

  188. Well I knew that it wouldn’t be only me! I ordered this free trial on 31st July this year. I don’t remember ticking any boxes to say that I had read their terms and conditions, but I do know that if I had seen the cost for one months supply was about £80 I would never have gone any further. I paid £2.99 for postage for the free trial, so that’s how they got my debit card number.

In September a further bottle of the capsules arrived, but things were hectic at that time and I put them in a drawer meaning to ring up and ask what was going on, but I forgot all about it.

This morning 17/10/2014 another bottle arrived and alarm bells went off in my brain. I rang and then finally after 3 calls to them three to Trading Standards and another to the bank asking them to monitor my account and check that no more of my money went into their coffers, I finally found out that I had paid my £2.99 postage for the free trial on 31st July, they then took out £79.90 on the 14th August but I didn’t look at my bank statement so didn’t know and I never received anything in August, although, not knowing that I had paid for anything how could I have rang and said that it had not arrived??

But at my third phone call to find out what had happened I found that they had taken £79.95 on 14/8/14 (with no delivery) then £82.90 on the 14/9/14 (with a delivery) and another £82.90 on the 14/10/14 which arrived today. they say I can only get a refund for the one that arrived today and I should have returned the others within 30 days. I am going all the way with this, I can’t afford to pay silly ,money for these things, I am an oap and my husband is 76 years and in the same boat. I could just kick myself, I really could. But I knew I couldn’t have been the only one.

The one thing that has amazed me is that they do not send you a receipt telling you how much has been debited from your account or that they are going to take out such and such an amount on whatever date. I find this unbelievable.

I have written a letter telling them that I am returning todays delivery but that I am asking them to please refund all of the August, September and October payments because I was totally unaware of them.

I sent the letter by email today (including the link address of this site and what I have discovered about them). and I will follow it with a printed letter copy tomorrow by special delivery when I return the latest bottle for a refund.

I will take this as far as I can I am determined that I will not back off this one. I have gone seriously overdrawn on my bank account because of these people and am paying high charges because of them and this cannot be allowed to continue. I am going to look to see if they have a Facebook page now and put this on there if they have.

I was so busy being dazzled by the ad that I did not read the Terms and Conditions. I thought I was paying for the product at a one time reduced price. The product took 6 weeks to arrive…14 day to cancel period was up before the damn stuff even arrived. Meanwhile, someone rang from the company who was so rude I nearly cried. He asked if I was aware I sound like a robot. He imitated me for a while and refused to a answer my questions then put the phone down on me.
Checked my bank before going out today to find the company had without warning wiped my account at 7.40 this morning. A. Single parent to a disabled boy, I can now not afford food or a card for the electric meter this week which is already onemergency. I have only had the product for 2 days!
I am gutted and have now blocked them in the bank but too late. After paying the initial intro price, plus £4.99 p&p for each jar…although they came together with one 1st class stamp…the whole sorry episode has cost nearly £100. If they even work remains to be seen!

  198. It is a total scam. I ordered two products on trial on 7 August. They sent an email telling me what I had ordered. It was not the same two products. I immediately emailed to tell them they were sending me the wrong products, but got no reply. The two wrong products appeared in the post. I assumed I was safe to not worry, cos they were the wrong products, so I emailed them to say I had got them, and would they tell me how to send them back. They didn’t answer. I then went on holiday and while I was away another batch arrived. I sent another email to say I didn’t want these products and please tell me how to return them. I never opened any of them, especially when I saw that Super Ketones includes Grapefruit extract and I am taking prescribed medication that forbids grapefruit in any form. I heard nothing and a third batch arrived. I checked my credit card record and was shocked to see that they were taking about £80 a month for EACH ITEM from my card. Wow, that is shocking. I’ll be down debtors’ row in no time at that rate.

So tonight I rang them. Emails are no use. You have to ring. And you have to be very firm in what you will accept. Don’t be put off by their kind offers because “you are out of the free trial period madam”. Argue. Threaten them with Trading Standards. Threaten them with a national newspaper. You will find that the telephone staff are very strong, don’t give in to them.

It is odd that they have a 24/7 phone number, don’t you think? John Lewis doesn’t have that cos they don’t have that many complaints. INSIST on your money back. You won’t get it all, cos, sadly, you didn’t cancel within the 7 days, but at least get most of it back and vow never to buy stuff online again without reading the SMALLEST PRINT first.

We have been conned girls. I am smarting about it, thinking what to tell hubby. Fortunately we can afford the mistake, but I am still smarting. If anybody has any ideas of how to approach Trading Standards or anybody else, let me know. I am strong enough to do it.

  200. Meg , send e -mails to your local trading standards but point out its a national issue. ( web search your local contact details)

Report them online to the action fraud unit, takes 20 min and you get a crime number so its registered.

Complain to your bank ( if you cancelled before they took the money as that makes it an unauthorised transaction).

Complain to Companies house about the lack of control they exercise when 7 companies ,all with the same sole director , are registered at an accomodation address !!

Tell your MP that the FCA wont help the banks plug this loophole !

Spend £80 on line and take them to court ! If the second bottles dont arrive or they sendcthe wrong goods its actionable.

The terms they apply about 14 days and only complain by telephone could be viewed as unfair terms of contract and would void it !

I hope all the people here dont give up and hit them hard . More the better.

There is no way they are getting any more from me though.
I rang the number for the UK, 0800 9098021 a very nice person answered the phone, I explained that I had been taken in by this scam, she remained calm and polite, as was I, she offered me the product at 25% off for future amounts. I insisted that I wanted to cancel my membership, the one I didn’t know I had, this she did there and then and sent me an email within minutes certifying my cancellation. For good measure I went into my bank to make sure they didn’t pay any more claims either.

  214. Hi. This is such a scam! I can’t believe I fell for it so easily, I’m usually so careful. They are such a difficult company to make contact with; I also spoke to an american when I first made my complaint to the company. I wonder if he can sleep at night!
I have had to now enlist the help of my bank. They have put a stop to any further transactions with these 2 companies. But unfortunately they had already taken £340 out of my bank account(this is 4 separate payments). I had cancelled the subscription but not within the time limit (this is well hidden). I have got 1 payment back into my account now and am waiting to hear about the other 3. The thing is, according to the letter from my bank regarding this 1 refund, I could still have to pay it back if the company appeals against my complaint! So I am not home and dry yet. When I first spoke to my bank I had to write a letter explaining all that had happened so that I could justify my request to get my money back!, galling eh?
I wish I had known about all this and done my research first before embarking on this fools errand. Surely by now the police should be involved; so many of us are being conned out of our money. They have made complete fools of us all. Buyer beware!!

  220. Yes I was scammed too. Got the bank to query the transaction of £79.95, this was 2 weeks ago and thus far ‘Super Ketone’ have not disputed it, so I got my money back. However they were the only company I gave out my debit card details too and I noticed a weird transaction for a small amount, which wasn’t me. I then got a text from my bank to say they have just blocked a big transaction to Western Union of $420. It must have been this company using my details. They canceled the card for me. Luckily I check my account on-line all the time so was alerted to my card being used for fraud. They will try with a small amount before whacking you with a big amount if successful the first time. Not only are this company scammers they will also use your card for fraud, cancel straight away.

Why oh Why is this product being endorsed by Lorraine Kelly and Denise Walsh etc, it shows before and after pictures stating they have lost 2 stone plus in 2 months, people trust these women, and the adverts are still being advertised tonight, i read it and immediately googled the the results, which brought me to this page, it makes me sick, why are these people still able to advertise false claims resulting in hundreds of pounds being stolen from their accounts, all advertising sites should be made to pay and help these people as they are paid to endorse this scam, If it sounds to good to be true then it really is.

  231. DO NOT buy from this company! It is in huge letters that this is a free trial and you just pay for the postage. It does actually say in the terms and conditions that they will proceed to take £79.95 but unfortunately I did not read the Term and Conditions. Please do not make the same mistake that I did. It is a complete joke, who would pay £79.95 for a months supply of tablets?! I will be returning the unopend tablets and demanding a refund as they should give you 28 days not 14! ‘If you’re unhappy with a purchase you have 28 days to return it, but it must be returned in a resalable condition, with its receipt. Unless faulty, pierced earrings, food, alcohol, toiletries or made-to-order goods are non-returnable’. Good luck!

I have rung the bank and cancelled my visa debit card and had all future payments to this company blocked. The bank is going to investigate and try to get me my money back, but it doesn’t sound hopeful – and they even said that if the company try to take the payment under a diffferent name, it might go through and I’ll have to go through the dispute procedure again to get my money back. These people are swindlers and thieves. And the bank made me feel like it was my fault for believing in a FREE trial, yet no-where on the webpage was there anything to say that I was agreeing to terms and conditions, autopay or anything else of that nature.

Subject: ANGRY! Immediate refund and cancellation expected!

You are liars and this is a scam.

I want my money back and I want it immediately!

If I don’t get a refund of MY money that you took under false pretenses, I will write letters to all the major television companies and newspapers and the government telling of your scam and demanding an immediate investigation of your practices.

I signed up for a trial costing £3.95, not a monthly amount of £92.78. This amount has now been taken illegally from my account both in December and January and is being investigated by my bank.
I am prepared to return the product to you, but at no cost to myself, until I see a refund going into my bank.

My name is Sarah ****** and my address is *** ***********, ********** Brighton, East Sussex, BN****. I demand immediate cancellation of all further transactions and immediate refund of the two payments that have been taken falsely from my account using my visa debit card number. This means I expect the amount of £185.56 to be refunded to my bank account immediately on receipt of this email.

    Very angry.

  243. Well, I wish I’d read the reviews before purchasing this product and yes, the Terms and Conditions properly too.

What is so disheartening about these ‘trial offers’ is how they prey on people who probably already have a million and one other things in life like work, children, trying to lose weight and yes, we are looking for that quick fix because time is the one thing none of us have and hence why we sign up, not checking the T’s & C’s to these deals thoroughly. What is more surprising is how NO ONE is trying to find a solution to improve the service.

So, what could that involve you might be asking?

How about an automated email at the end of the ‘trial period’ to notify you or ask for your feedback and confirmation as to whether you wish to continue with the product on a full cost basis? – too customer centric?

What about sending an email statement the same date the second transaction is applied to a ‘customers’ account so that the ‘customer’ can stop these charges sooner? – too favorable to the customer?

How about a more consistent message from the staff working the telephones? When i called up I was told they would accept me returning the untouched product offering a maximum 25% – 50% refund but when i challenged this wanting to get further answers and asked for the name of the person heading up the complaints teams, like a Compliance Officer or the CEO of the company I was told I was being ‘obnoxious’ and hung up on! – No wonder people think the companies a scam.

When I called back, I was then informed that these products are ‘non-refundable’. Arguably some inconsistencies there but that’s OK, as long as we read the Terms and Conditions!

What strikes me about all of this is the obvious drive to make as much money as possible in as short a time as possible for a product which is evidently not worth it’s weight in gold, literally! So I may be c£360 lighter on the money front and heavier on my trust in these types of deals but I can at least come up with a solution. I suspect however those in charge will fail to implement it and continue to spread their miserable service to those who are already unhappy with other things in their life that little further. Give yourselves a big slap on the back!

This company is a Money-grabbing waste of space and I will never sign up to something so stupidly again. I have cancelled both deals, informed my bank and will always think a little more carefully about the nature of these deals in the future. Evidently there is still a massive area in the online payments activity where the consumer is not protected enough and quality customer service afterwards leaves you somewhat struggling to reason with the staggering cost.

    Disappointed.

  244. DO NOT GIVE THAT COMPANY YOUR CARD DETAILS.

    IT IS A SCAM.

I never ever usually fall for these kind of things, but this time become a cropper. I was sucked into a £2.95 trial. Asked the company to cancel my order having read reviews on here. The lady on the phone tried her best to convince me to TRY the product before asking for a refund. Having been a week now, I’ve still not received any product… they also took £1.99 for what reason I have no clue.

My advice – if you are sucked into this scam like many of us.. go into your bank, cancel your card, block this company from taking any more money and steer clear in future.

And if you’re considering it… DON’T DO IT!

However, I emailed them immediately telling them that my doctor tells me the product is not for me as it would interfere to my detriment with the medication I’m on, and I also notified the bank immediately to explain what had happened and told them I believed this could be a scam. They immediately put a block on my card and will issue me with a new card and number.

I fell for this and rung the lady back, she said I had to cancel my order on the 18 because that’s when they receive a returns number and can cancel the product. I shall be doing this but I so hope I don’t get charged. I’ve already taken all the precautions I can, I’ve told the bank not to release any money to them and I’ve take all my money out of the account into another (luckily I use debit otherwise I’d be paying it no matter what on credit card)
I will post again on the 18th when I’ve called them. They should be able to get any money anyway, I have none in the account they’ve got for me.

I accepted this with the intention of cancelling way before that but I would like to try the products to see if they work ….. She promised me that as long as I cancelled before the date she gave me no money would be taken from my account. So I will wait (in hope) and see. But I too will be emptying my account and probably cancelling my debit card just in case!

Internet sales are governed by the Consumer Contracts Regulations (2014) which means you have 14 days to cancel. You don’t need a Returns Number. The CAB site has a specimen letter for you to write.
(Perhaps this is why Nutralabs want you to do nothing for 14 days!

We have sent the cancellation letter to the head office and enclosed it with the goods which we returned. We also emailed the letter to all the relevant email addresses.

    Also, cancel your bank card..

Also report them to Trading Standards – also covered on the CAB site.

I charged what I expected to be to £7-90 to a c.c. There were NO T&C’s on the web page I ordered from. The pills arrived 2 days later & I took them for 3 days before developing a rash.I then found 2 x £1-99 added to c.c for insurance. I phoned the help line & the man said I could not do anything for 14 days– he was based in Spain. I then found that £160 had been debited to my card. My c.c has put a block on future payments. I have been in touch with Trading Standards

After checking my credit card details today I realised I have paid out £320 to them in a month & a half! I have called their customer care line today & was told I should have read the terms and conditions in full. All four pages of it. I asked if they would email me their terms and conditions and they refused saying they were on the website.

I could hear other people in the back ground saying the same thing. I asked him if he lots of calls about the charges but he said only from people who hadn’t read the T&Cs properly! He advised me they have many satisfied customers! They offered me a refund of £70 as a ‘good will gesture’ which I said was not acceptable if they weren’t prepared to show me the terms and conditions I have agreed to. I shall wait & see if the refund appears in my account.

    • This is a scam because you get the impression you have a month’s trial period but unless you read the small print, you will pay the full price after 14 days. I’ve just managed to telephone and cancel, they would only offer a £19.99 refund. I told them it is a scam or at the very least misleading in the way it’s presented. I asked her does she get fed up dealing with calls like mine, she wouldn’t answer, then interestingly the line started to get intermittent and she said she couldn’t hear me and that I was breaking up – how convenient, I’m sure she did something on purpose to cut the conversation short!!

I closed it down and re-opened it and still I got the adult dating site when I clicked on the free trial offer that I had already filled in and completed.

I then did a Google search and came up with this blog. Wish I’d seen this first now.

Anyway, I straight away got on to the fraud department of my bank. I told them what had happened and they confirmed to me that the two trial amounts for £3.95 and £4.95 had already been approved. I didn’t worry too much about that but I told them I believed it was a scam and I didn’t want any more amounts taken out of my account. They said they would immediately put a block on my account and send me a new debit card with a new number. I was very grateful for that. I then immediately emailed the Ketone company (no point in ringing them) to cancel any future orders.
