Teeth Pulling for Weight Loss

Teeth Pulling for Weight Loss

This may sound extreme and more reminiscent of an ancient form of torture, but according to reports reality star Kim Kardashian has resorted to teeth pulling for weight loss.

According to the source the 35-year-old Kim was so desperate to lose weight after the birth of her child Saint she has resorted to drastic measures.

“Knowing she’d have to make an appearance at Kanye’s fashion show recently, Kim needed a quick fix.”

“So she had her cosmetic dentist pull two teeth in the back of her mouth, which she believes makes her cheeks narrower and slims her face!”

So, did Kim really resort to teeth pulling?

There are contradictory reports that state that she did not resort to teeth pulling for weight loss, and I am glad as this method only gives the appearance of slimmer cheekbones and will not actually result in any pounds being lost.

Instead other reports she has stated she has used contouring to give the appearance of a slimmer face.

She has also started eating a low carb high-fat Atkins and ketogenic diet to help her to lose her post-baby weight.

What would we recommend for weight loss?

We most certainly would never recommend a weight loss method as extreme as teeth pulling. In fact many of these tricks supposedly endorsed by celebrities are best avoided.

Most of the time they involve drastic cutting of calories, or the removal of entire food groups from your diet.

While you may lose weight initially, you will soon find that your weight loss will plateau as your metabolism slows.

Once you start eating again the weight will quickly return.

Another issue with these faddy diets is that they can leave you deficient of essential minerals, which if you value your long-term health is not something you will want to do.

Our suggestion on how to lose weight safely and effectively is to simply cut back on your intake of junk food. Instead replace it with healthy alternatives such as fruit and vegetables.

What you drink also has an impact on your weight so I would suggest cutting back on the soft drinks or anything with added sugar. You should instead drink more water as it contains zero calories and can help curb any food cravings you may experience.

Exercise is also important, so you should make an effort to do it regularly.

Cardio is of course a good option, but for better results I would also suggest adding a little resistance to your workouts too. For example you could perform a few exercises with a dumbbell or resistance band.

For those who find they have very little time to spend at the gym you could try HIIT, or High Intensity Interval Training.

This form of workout will be performed at maximum intensity, so you could potentially burn hundreds of calories in just a few minutes.

Finally, try to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night and if you suffer from stress, try to find a way to get it under control.

Both a lack of sleep and elevated stress levels can affect the hormones that control your appetite, making you experience cravings more often.
