Vita Cleanse scam report

Vita Cleanse scam report

Detoxing has become incredibly popular over the past year of so, and for good reason as the act of removing those built up toxins can improve your overall health and help with your weight issues.

It has been shown that the toxins that surround our daily lives cause health issues so the occasional detox is a good idea.

One way to detox is with a colon cleanser, which you can use to gently remove the stored fecal matter and toxins from your colon.

This process can almost instantaneously help to lose excess pounds.

Unfortunately there are some products that you should try to avoid, for example those that make their money through auto shipping.

These products are often offered at a cheap price to entice you into signing up for the offer, but you will end up being disappointed when the true cost is revealed to you.

Vita Cleanse is offered as a trial, which has led to numerous online complaints that it is a scam. What is the truth behind this supplement?

Claimed benefits of Vita Cleanse

The following benefits have been claimed on the Vita Cleanse website:

  • Reduce the appearance of cellulite
  • Increase energy naturally
  • Clean and detoxify your body
  • Burn off excess weight
  • Boost your metabolism

Each of these sound achievable but we would have to look at the ingredients used in Vita Cleanse before we could verify them.

Ingredients found in Vita Cleanse

Looking at the ingredients is a little confusing as they have listed Raspberry Ketone, African Mango, Cascara Sagrada, Pumpkin Seed, Buckthorn Root, Liquorice Root, Rhubarb, Citrus Pectin, Acidophilus and Cape Aloe as its ingredients.

However the website also features the product label, which lists the following ingredients instead:

Psyllium Husk, Bentonite Clay, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Fennel Seed, Clove Bud, Liquorice, Garlic Herb, Citrus Pectin, Nettle Leaf, Silicon Dioxide, Cayenne, Chlorella, Aloe Vera and Ginger.

Vita Cleanse ingredients

With this confusing information how do you really know what is found inside Vita Cleanse?

Cost of Vita Cleanse

The 14 day trial for Vita Cleanse will cost you just £5.95, which is to cover the cost of postage and packaging.

This is not the true cost of this product however, as signing up for this trial also means that you are signing up for an auto ship program.

Once the trial period concludes you will be charged £69.95 and will be subsequently charged this amount each month thereafter until your membership is cancelled.

Is Vita Cleanse a scam?

These kind of programs are bound to lead to claims that Vita Cleanse is a scam.

People will sign up hoping to try a product without realising what they are really signing up for.

The terms and conditions explain the payment details, but those who do not read them thoroughly will be in for a shock when their bank statement arrives.

  1. I have not received the product, and spoke with several customer service agents asking for a full refund inclusive of shipping costs. Was told that this was not possible, even though I had not received goods I was still made to pay shipping. I was also given false information in regard to the customer services separtment in Clearwater florida. I am sure vitacleanse does not want to be tarnished with such bad experience and poor handling .Please contact me on my email address above so we can try to resolve it.
    thank you

    • I have just received my trial bottle of VitaCleanse and was trying to contact them re a question I had. However the emails they have provided are not working and I started looking on the web and have come across your web site. Now I am really worried and did not find anywhere where it said it cost $89 etc. I am in Australia and there is a number but it does not look like an Australian number. Does anyone have an authentic email address that I can contact them to cancel my order. Failing that I will ring them in the UK that’s if the numbers are genuine. Any help would be appreciated.

        • Thank you Dave. Your information has been most helpful. I too ordered the trial bottle for $9.95 shipping and handling. I have just had an unauthorised amount of $92.59 taken out of my account and have been trying to ring the number provided on their website and email the address provided with no luck. I rang the number you provided and did get through but was conveniently disconnected. I rang back and the man, Peter, is adamant that this is not the amount taken out. I did however throw a lot of legal jargon at him and he offered me a 50% refund on the product. I pushed further and he offered a 75% refund and to keep the product. I now have an RMA number and address to send the product back with the statement from my bank stating the amount they have taken out. This will apparently give me right to a full refund and cancellation of my order. We will see!

  2. So Vita cleanse and Nutri Berry, amazing weight loss program but only if it’s your wallet that is too fat…..

They sell you a trail dose for a fiver and you think “well I’m a bit porky, it may work, and all I’ve lost is a fiver”. Then they start to empty your bank account to the tune of £160 odd quid. The credit card companies are apparently happy with the scam but I’m bloody furious. Also my blood pressure has increased to an all time high since taking these drugs.

I phoned them up and they have agreed to stop stealing any more of my money but the bastards have already taken £160 out. There is no way I will get this back as apparently part of the agreement is that they can steal money from me once I’ve visited their site. Please pass this on so no one else is scammed by these scum.

      • Hi, just been on phone to customer services at Health Essentials telephone number is 020 3281 1048 got it from website. Once through I was in touch with a very unhelpful lady, so muck background noise couldn’t hear what she was saying and whenever I tried to get my point across I was interrupted, finally she cut me off with out helping me one little bit. A second phone call to them got me through to a man who told me he was a supervisor ( Well we can all dream) bu hey who’s to argue, when I explained the situation to him he was a little more helpful, but not much, eventually I got a little more information off him regarding the SMALL PRINT (What small print) The one I NEVER SAW, he said it was on the website, but when I told him I had the site up he changed his tack, I wanted a full refund of the monies taken from my bank account (putting me overdrawn, will they pay the fees NO!!!!) I was informed I would be charged £10 per product re-stocking fee, (I had only use ONE TABLET FROM EACH ONE That makes £10 per tablet) Boy this is a brill scam I wish I had thought it up I’d be rich now, not just making it on a state pension. My advice to anyone who is asking for a refund phone the number above and ask for a supervisor (might not get one) but like I said they can dream, Double check and information they give you, ESPECIALLY the RMA Number as this has 17 digits. get them to confirm everything, the address I was given is not the one on the website, (that’s in Scotland, Milton Keynes isn’t) You need an RMA number for EACH product or you won’t get your money. I am quite a bit over weight but would not have bought these product had they not been endorsed by both Ms Kelly & Ms Willoughby, also an article in Womens Heath, because they all raved so much that these products worked I thought Why Not!!!! Never again, I don’t like being over weight but I think I’ll try the natural way in future. When you call the number above you will be connected to customer service based in Clearwater, Florida, USA I was also informed that I would be charge at local rate prices. When you speak to them make sure you get the person’s name IN FULL. because if something goes wrong you know who to ask for as they were the ones who gave the relevant information in the first place. Sorry if I sound Pissed I AM VERY!!!. Her goes going to post office to send them empty bottles back, (If I’m being charge for refills they can really fill them) also giving them to my GP for testing, I felt like I was on some sort of Speed when I took them. Of course my energy levels were up, I didn’t sleep for 24hours after following directions on bottle. Not good at my age, with heart problems. Good Luck to anyone trying to get a refund I will let you know if I am successful in gaining mine.

Suddenly discover that my Credit card was debited without my authority a second time!!!!!!
They won’t be able to do that anymore as I have stopped the card.

    • Hi Inger,
let’s try to stop this scam company.
did you get your money back and returned the products with the RMA, as I was instructed to do last night.
let’s try to stop these unscrupulous people, they have no conscience and my experience tells me that most people who buy their product are not aware that they sign up for an ongoing trial period or further supplies of the product. my account has been debited without my authority once already and I must say I don’t feel sure if they are going to take any morey money from my account because as you said they debited your credit card without your authority a second time. I spoke to them in the UK last night, the lady promised to close my account and I should then return the 2 products, she said she already paid the money back into my account. I still can’t see the money on my account, it might take a while before I can see it though, because it’s another country, but I only have her word for it. I’m a bit worried still, she did however send me a cancellation on both products, so let’s see. I’m returning the 2 products the way the instructed me because unlike this company I play it by the book. do you know if they are based in the US or in the UK, I found an address for them in Wales in England and in Scotland but do you know if they are in fact an American company I alse saw someone writing something about an address in Florida. would you be so kind as to provide me with as much information about them as you can. thanks in advance tina from Denmark

  7. Similar experience as above customers. My understanding I was purchasing a trial package i.e
vitaCleanse & NuriBerry. Totally shocked when my account showed deductions of £93 + £86.
Didn’t start the Nutriberry and stopped the Vita Cleanse when i discovered you should not take this medication if you were on any other medication. Anyway I was not too pleased as this was not highlighted in the sales literature. However, at this stage there was not a lot of money at stake, so I didn’t persue the matter. Totally shocked today when I received by bank statement to discover above deductions. Firstly I rang their customer service, who replied that the best he could do was to cancel my so called order. I have not received any additional capsules since the original, yet they tell me they cannot refund any money. I’m a pensioner and certainaly can’t afford this type of scam. Surely in this day and age there should be some protection from this type of scandlous selling.

  8. I had the same amount taken out of my account as Dan Ryan. I did not take any of either of the products as it said not with any medication and I am on lots so sent them back, have not received any others but was not expecting anymore, but apparently they were going to take the same amount every month, as I had not signed up for any more than the trial I don’t know how they can do that. I think I will ring trading standards tomorrow.

I told them first I heard of it, that’s not what I wanted I.e. trial pack only & besides the trial pack didn’t arrive until two weeks later. He would not listen just saying it was stated in their terms & conditions. I am now seeking recompense from my credit card company as I never authorised the payments – only the trial payment. It’s a total scam & I am pursuing this & reporting them to Trading Standards. It’s daylight robbery & a total scam. Hope we all get some satisfaction but I doubt it. Think it will be a costly error. Phoned my credit card and they said they are aware of the company and I agreed to a subscription in small print, . I agreed to nothing of the sort. All I agreed for was a free trial. 22. Please do not agree to trialling either vita cleanse or nutriberry slim ketone tablets as they do not work. Even though it is supposed to be a 30 day trial after 12 days they took £93 and 4 days after that they took £89. Called up to cancel but was told I had agreed to their terms and conditions as soon as I hit the submit button!! Asked for a refund but was told no then I asked to speak to a supervisor. Did not speak to supervisor but customer service agent said she would speak to him and was then told “as a special case we will refund £26.07 for vita cleanse and £27.09 for nutriberry slim”. At this point in time, I did not realise they had taken the second payment of £89 so reluctantly agreed to this. It was only 3 days after telephone call when I checked my credit card statement that I realised this had been taken. Got cc company to block any more withdrawals and they are now investigating. They also said they had received a lot of complaints about Healthy Cleanse Ltd!!! Everybody please report to trading standards!!

  23. My sister bought the Vita Cleanse. She is 17. This is appalling, as it is easily accessible. We have always promoted internet safety, however due to her weight I guess desperate times came to desperate measures. If I hadn’t picked this up from the post office I would not have known about it!
Not only that, soon after, she realized £90 had been taken from her bank account, on top of the fee already paid. We have contacted the company and have put a stop to it.
Unfortunately the terms and conditions do state the true cost, it is up the the individual to read them, but do does? The law is changing for e-commerce as to lengthy t+c’s.
I am glad to say my sister has not taken these tablets, the packaging looks dodgey and I would not trust with a barge pole. The tablets are huge and look odd. I’m sorry to advise I do not know if they work. It’s not worth the risk.

  24. Totally devastated. I fell for this on the link from facebook as I had a baby recently n feel low n want to loose some weight. I am so shocked to hear this is a scam. I only ordered my free trial tonight. Then read all the reports n feel like such an idiot!! I’ve rang the customer service team spoke to a very unhelpful lady who said it stated clearly that you’re signing up to an account and any orders plus shipping n handling are non-refundable and this has to be read and ticked before you order. I said thats bull crap as I did it two minutes ago n never had to read or tick anything. She eventually said she would cancel my account but under no circumstances would they refund me. Nearly in tears I asked to speak to her supervisor. I got the same response but managed to clarify that…I will be billed £2.99 + £6.95 for shipping n handling of a product I will not recieve as ive cancelled my account. I got him to clarify that it’s the products thereafter that cost £90 odd pounds and because I’ve cancelled my account that will now not be charged. I’m ringing my bank now to get some advice n request a new card. I’m petrified now I’m going to get robbed. I did record the conversation though aswell. Also just to add I thought it was convenient that both the male n female I spoke to had accents that I would suggest were similar to indian/bangladeshi, the female called herself angela thomas n the male sean smith. Uncanny :-/

  25. Advice, if you just bought vita cleanse and/or nutriberry ketone tablets, than the first thing to do is to call your bank and cancel your card. Explain them you thought buying a trial but are now attached to a scam and you do not authorise any further payments coming out of this account. They wont be able to cancel payments you have authorised, even if the small print wasnt there when i bought my trial…but the bank will no longer authorise payment to them and if you cancel your card, they obviously wont be able to take payments either. The next thing to do is to call the scam company: 02032811048. Tell them you cancel all trials and further transactions, have your order
number ready. They will tell you, it was in the small print, but when I bought it there was no small print. Hope this helps. Next time I buy an offer or deal, I will just stick to groupon, where the small print or terms and conditions are visible 😉 hope this helps!

    • Hi there
If you inform your bank that you want the continuous payment authority to stop, by law they have to comply with your request. If after contacting your bank, further monies are taken out of your account the bank has to reimburse you. This has been the law since 2009. You do not have to cancel your card. Hope this helps people.

  27. I also had £89 and then £93 deducted form my credit card. I cancelled my credit card this morning and given the details to the credit card company who are looking into the scam and may possibly reimburse me on my credit card insurance. I suggest other victims try the same.

  28. I too have been had by this company, ordered vita cleanse and nutriberry slim thinking I was getting a ‘free’ trial. They took 3 weeks to arrive and then a week later £83 had been taken out of my account. Immediately told my bank not to allow any payments from this company and they have been great. Couldn’t refund the first payment but stopped the second going out. I have cancelled my ‘subscription’ and got an email to confirm this, but I’ve learnt my lesson, never will I buy anything that it advertised on facebook!!! This scam needs to be stopped.

  30. I too asked for a free sample for which these tricksters were to charge £5.00 to cover postage.
    NO the tablets don’t work.
They have taken the original £6.95 postage (not £5.00) and have subsequently taken £86.00 followed a month later by a further £92.95.
Fortunately the card they have used is a Barclaycard and as from to-day I am covered against any subsequent attempts.
This does not help me recover what they have already taken but I am advised by Barclaycard to go to Trading Standards.

  33. I too have been scamed by this, I signed up for the trial – which was sent and is not too bad – but they have now taken over £181 from my account. As a pensioner now I cannot afford to lose this money. I did not see anything that said about a 14 day cancellation, but I will do this immediately. I cannot see why this company has not been stopped yet it is so obviously a scam and needs to go to Trading Standards or something.

My bank are stopping further payments but today when product arrived I tried contacting the company on a customer service no and was told to ring later as they were having ‘technical problems’!!! Will we get our money back??? I’ve also contacted the eu advice service as advised by another one of vita cleanse victims. Will the only way of stopping the money being taken out be changing debit card? Well a bitter lesson learnt!!!

If any future payments are requested, Barclays have assured me that no payment will be authorized. I advise any one to ring their bank straight away, and speak to them, as they will be more than understanding and are aware of this scam.

  38. Hi there everyone
Continuous payment authorities are unfortunately not against the law but this information should be visible before people place orders. The likes of the AA use this type of payment when ordering roadside cover for your car on the internet. Please contact your bank and inform them a CPA is associated with your purchase but you do not want further funds released from your account. By law they have to carry out your request. If they do not and further monies are taken from your account they have to reimburse you the full amount and any interest incurred.

    Hope this helps people

  39. I have just contacted vitacleanse after sitting reading all these worrying comments. I did a google search and got the telephone number. It rang for a while then a man answered and introduced himself as martin. He asked what product i was calling about. “is that more worrying”. I told him i had received my free trial but wanted to cancel any further deliveries. He said i had to send my trial back or i would be charged £69 pound for them if i wanted to cancel.
I said no, i paid £5.99 for shipping this free trial and i wasn’t going to pay to send them back i just wanted to cancel future deliveries and i don’t want money taken from my account as id read articles telling of other folks bad experiences. He said money would be taken as i had entered into an agreement by accepting the first lot on the understanding i would receive more at a cost to me. I got very upset and said i wouldn’t have done that as i couldn’t afford that amount due to not working because of ill health and living on my own. Says i would receive an email with address and a code to put on the envelope and send the bottle back by recorded delivery by the middle of June. Why by then!!! Is that so money could be taken from me that i truly cant afford. I told him i would get legal advice if they have or try to take money from me. Will i ring my telephone banking when they open and would i be able to stop this scary company taking anything . Would i have to cancel my account at bank? Can someone give me advice. The amounts of money these have stolen from other people would mean my bills wouldn’t get paid and i would be up S..t Creek. IM panicking. Regards Julie

  43. Can’t believe I have fallen for this scam, thought I had caught the payment in time as my bank account said the payment was dated Monday, so I phoned bank on Saturday and they said it had already gone the date on the statement on the mobile banking site gives the date of the next working day and not the date it actually leaves which was the Friday. Great the money in the account was to pay my gas and electric bill on Monday and now the bank are going to charge me if the money isn’t in there to pay the direct debits, so I have to magically find £93 from somewhere!!!! The bank already knew about this scam, although its not illegal its definitely unethical and where do consumers get protection of unethical companies.

If they take any more money my bank will refund it. I had a customer number for one of the products and rang the associated phone number which although a UK number converted to an overseas ring tone. Cancelled the trial with their operative. Then rang a different number for the product I didn’t have an order number for. This number also converted to an overseas ring tone and what do you know the same person answered the phone. I challenged him that I had just spoken to him but he denied it. Tried to cancel but he said there was no order in my name. I will wait and see if they try to take money again. Lesson learnt, A FREE TRIAL IS NOT FREE AND IS POSSIBLY A SCAM!

  48. I too have been caught out and only found this forum by accident. I googled to see what the price would be after the trial and Vita Cleanse Scam came up on the list. A quick check of my credit card saw that I had been charged £93 before the bank holiday. I rang my card company (Tescos) hoping that was it only to find that £89 had just been taken out and the update would show after the bank holiday. While they could not reverse this they offered to block future payments. She did advise me to keep an eye on my account for 3 months as it was possible that a payment may slip through. If this did happen I would have the money refunded. Thank goodness I used my credit card as opposed to my debit card. I will have a bit of interest to pay until I can pay it off but this is much better than going overdrawn and all next weeks direct debits racking up masses of bank charges. I used the facebook link but I do a lot of shopping online so didn’t think twice about it. This is my first bad experience but I will make sure I fully research any new companies I deal with in future. Learned the hard way.

There are namy people here who have been scammed by Vita Cleanse. What is happening with all the comments left on this site? Is somebody putting together a petition for the Trading Standards Authority or some other department?

My bank (Santander) said they could not prevent other payments being taken from my account because the deal on debit cards is different to that on credit cards. The fact that VISA has had a law passed (according to my bank) which protects merchants from having payments cancelled is appalling.

I rang them up and told them to cancel this order as I hadn’t agreed to it and I was told I couldn’t cancel it and would keep receiving pills, subsequently have received another 2 containers, but the money was taken out of my bank before the pills were even delivered. I rang up again and was told I couldn’t send them back. Yes I too have been a victim of this fraudulent scam!!! I noticed a large amount of money £95 twice over in the same month had been taken from my account and I didn’t know why until I collected a parcel from the post office.
    I was furious,
The customer service number it gives for rda nuber for returns is false and the email doesn’t work. Only by coming on this page I found a number and rang….. I asked them why I’d been sent another shipping and been charged a stupid amount for a product that doesn’t work and that I cant take due to a reaction last time.
They told me I was out of my 30 days? I then said well no I’m not as I’ve just received it now so I want to return it, you only sent it at the end of June.
My reply was 30 day from trial, it was in the small print…… Hmmmm there was no small print!!
My order is cancelled so they say, when I asked for my money back they said what do you not understand lady your out of the 30 days, my reply which I kept repeating is that’s rubbish and this is a huge scam for a product that doesn’t work, so I shall be taking this further and will contact watchdog and trading standards I kept repeating, they then said out of good will gesture we will refund you £60 so I thought ok fine until I realised how much they’ve taken!!!
I’m going to the bank today and I will be reporting them to watchdog and trading standards!!!
I will get this company stopped as they should not be allowed to trade this way.

Thanks to everyone on this forum for your advice because I’ve managed to call up my credit card company and hopefully block them charging me before they try! Thank god I came across this otherwise I too would be in trouble! Going to call up the company tomorrow and demand to be took off this scam! Good luck to everyone in the same boat x

  78. I am nearly £400 out of pocket after being scammed by ‘Vita Cleanse’ aka ‘Extreme Cleanse’ aka ‘Lasting Cleanse’ and its sister company, ‘Nutriberry Slim’ aka ‘Ketone Burn’ aka ‘Ketone Extract’, all names under which monies have been removed from my account over the last two months.

I got contact numbers for them( see below) from my bank and have been in touch with my card company who have said they will try and do what they can to get a refund (probably no where near full outlay).

I have read the terms and conditions – very confusing but basically like others have said its all a scam.

I have contacted the company for what they refer to as a RMA No. (return merchandise authority number) but they have told me that ‘an RMA No. cannot be generated after the second shipment has been dispatched.

  80. What a scam, it’s so mis-leading, you think you are ordering a trial, but the money is taken from the account within the 14 day ‘trial’ period, and when you query this, you are advised to send the product back (how can you when you’ve started taking them?) and not only that to to pay £20 for the privelage. BE WARNED, to TRY this product will cost you in excess of £200, the reason they wotk is because you can’t afford to buy any food, you have to live on the pills alone.

Like all the rest I too have been scammed, like everybody else a free trial sounded a good idea, I thought it might have got me started to loose some weight, having just been diagnosed with diabetes. I haven’t as yet tried them as I no sooner got the tablets when I got my credit card statement in to find £182 unauthorised charge on my card. I am now trying to claim this back through their fraud department, as a pensioner I do not have this kind of money to loose. Surely something can be done about these people, to stop them scamming people out of their hard earned cash. Any ideas as to how we can bring these con artist down then I’m with them all the way.

I call Vita Cleanse customer services 0203 281 1048 and of course was nothing they could do and because I didn’t gave up they hung up on me several times.
My advice to you all is to call your bank and explain them everything and cancel your credit card!!
I was told that sometimes they change the name of the company and still take your money because they have all your credit card details!

Please share this page with all your friends!! IS A SCAM!!

Unfortunately, when I looked at my bank account it said that £93.00 had been taken from my bank which is £83.00 more than they said.
I phoned them this morning and they tried to say that they are not responsible for the missing money. The number that I phoned was +44 ( 0203 ) 411 1861

  89. Like all of the above, I too was scammed, so wish I had done a search on Vitaclense before being stupied enough to believe the advert I saw on Facebook, what this company are doing is relying on the fact that the majority of us when ordering/agreeing to something on line we do not read the terms and conditions if we need to click on a separate button to read them, as I scrolled through the page I was ordering from there was no mention of a subscription or future charges and that is the scam!! I too was charged £93 initially, I rang the company and was told by the lady to return the remainder of the pot of Vitaclense and they would give me £30 as a gesture of goodwill!! They did refund £30 and I did send back the remainder of the pot – which didn’t do anything in the 2 weeks I took them anyway. Being very gullible thought that was the end of it, oh no, this weekend found that £89 had been taken from my account, I received an email the day after saying that my subscription was cancelled, they emailed me that a month previous and that no further monies would be taken, I tried to email back – it bounced back, I have tried the several contact numbers and lo and behold, the numbers are no longer working! I contacted my bank yesterday and they took all my details to send to their head office and have said they will refund me the £89, – I hope so but will look into obtaining a refund for the remainder from the European website as listed above, good luck everyone in outing these people.

  96. Today I placed an order for the Nutriberry Slim – Trial and the Vita Cleanse – Trial. After reading the messages above I called the number for Vita Cleanse on +44 (0) 20 3281 1048. I spoke to an advisor (probably in India) and after insisting that they cancel my order for both, and despite his offers of 50% discounts etc. He told me that I would receive a confirmation email of cancellation within 24 hours. In fact I received two confirmation emails within 30 seconds which reads

    ” Dear **** ********,
Thank you for using Vita Cleanse – Trial. This email is to inform you that your subscription status has been recently updated and any ongoing or all future charges have been cancelled as per your request.

If you have any questions about the cancellation of this subscription, or if you would like to re-activate the same in the future, please feel free to contact our Customer Service team”

I received two emails (one for each product) and will keep a close watch on my account to see what, if anything gets taken out.
I now have email proof that they have agreed to cancel both orders.
I hope that this helps and I will keep you informed of any developments.

  98. I too have fallen victim to this scam.
I ordered the trial on the 26th July only to then come across the horror behind these horrible scumbags. I went to the bank today (28th) only to be told they can’t do anything until they take something out of my bank. They have charged me for the P&P of the trial under the names of ‘Ultimate’ and ‘Plus’ but have not yet charged the full price, until this happens, the bank can’t do anything as they don’t have enough details.

I then rang the free number for Health Essentials LTD which is definitely the company I have ordered from to cancel my trial/autoship before the 14 day cut off. To then speak to ‘Dan’ and ‘Chris’ (Yeah right). Who both said they could not find any record of me on their database and I must have bought the product from another merchant. What a load of poo. This is the only website thats sells them and they obviously have my details if they took the P&P!!

    Anyone else had this problem?

I was offered and I accepted a refund of £90 against charges of £182. I intend to pursue them for the remainder. I have been sent emails confirming that my order had been cancelled and in connection with the refund which they said should hit my account on 4th August.

My credit card company has put a stop on future payments.

I phoned the company to be told in no uncertain terms that I should have read the terms and conditions. I asked them to cancel and after much argument they said they would but they would not refund the money already taken. She said she could offer me a discount (Still waiting) I contacted Citizens Advice Bureau who gave me a standard letter to send to the company. CIB said that Trading Standards may be informed but could not guarantee they would take up the case.

It also says on the bottle that the pills should not be taken if you are on any other medication, which I am, Therefor thhey are useless to me.

  103. Guess what, I have just joined the scam club. Like a fool I was taken in by this damn company. I have lost £185 on a product that does not even work. I am so pissed at myself for being taken in like this. Got the first bottle for £5.00 thinking I will just try this out, but in no way did I see anything saying I had to go back on the site to cancel the order, I thought I was just getting a one off. Then this morning I was checking my account and noticed that two payments had come out. I was in total shock as they had put me in the red twice, It felt like someone had broken into my house and robbed me. I managed to get a number off my bank to this company, called them and spoke to some Indian woman who I could hardly hear and told them what I thought of them and that they had better cancel this so called VitaCleanse, she went onto say that all companies sell their products in the same way. This has taught me a big lesson, never buy products like this on line again, read the small print on everything and look for forums like this. I hope one day companies who sell products in this manner will be able to get sued big style for miss leading the public.

I had alarm bells in my head about this so I just checked online and found this site (Wish I had the alarm bells when entering my details). Anyway I called them up on the number supplied on this site to cancel any membership for after the free trial, but they have declined, Apparently I must do this just before my trial ends on the 19th of August which is on its last day. I wonder if I cancel on this day they will give me a reason as to why they cannot cancel this before the payment is taken out? I wanted to pre cancel any possibility of being charged after the trial. Not taking any more risks I have just spoken to my bank and had my card cancelled to prevent any future payments to this company. I’m just so glad I checked this site for a possible scam. So I owe you all a huge thank you x

  107. Could really kick myself after falling for this. Phoned to try and claim money back with no joy- although a very polite man called Paul explained calmly that I should have read the small print in the advert!
Interestingly the initial messages that you get when you phone 0203 411 1861 and 08005460219 both tell you to check the terms and conditions of your order before you continue with your call.
When I asked Paul how I would recognise whether further payments were being taken he said there was a note on my details cancelling further withdrawals. But when I continued to say I was a little confused, he admitted to me that “the company” make many different products under a different name. This worried me further because I now need to watch every withdrawal very carefully to make sure they are not calling themselves anything that resembles Tesco, M&S etc.
Bank is not much help since apparently once you have given card details to anyone to withdraw payment, they can call themselves whatever they like and withdraw your money. How do we stop this before other innocents are also totally conned??

Perhaps Idiots like myself need to do more exercise instead of hoping for miracle solutions

  108. My wife fell for the scam too. Apparently the bank say it is not possible to get a refund as what they are doing is perfectly legitimate. There are terms and conditions right at the foot of the page which you could look up. It will make no difference to change your credit or debit card as they are automatically informed of these things. The bank cannot get your money back. It can however put a block on any future payments and make it very expensive for the company if they try and continue to take payments. It’s an expensive lesson but one we all need to learn.

  110. Hi I too fell for this scam…..used the trial thinking that was it…but bank statement showed that they had taken out the amounts of £93 and £89…..I rang the credit card company and they said they were aware of the company, but they could only stop any further payment. I requested that they did and also cancelled my card, as I have since read that they are several different companies. The credit card company gave me a number (unfortunately this was back in June so no longer have it) I rang them same response as everyone else, that I have agreed to the small print when I applied for the product…..I told them that I had see no small print and although they refered me to there website where T’s and C’s are on the original reply to their advert on FACEBOOK there were no T’s and C’s …..nor did I receive a follow up email to confirm all of this….After some time fuming at home, that I could be so gulliable….I then thought that if I took this to a court of law, they may have to produce a hard copy of my agreement….so I rang back and requested this….they put me on hold and “supervisor” then told me that they would refund half of my payment, provided that I didn’t take the matter any further…I said I couldn’t promise that, but would take the refund….better than nothing….

This is a scam I tried to cancel after only a few hours of placing the order and was advised that I could not do so until I received the trial and sent back the empty container or full container to them. As I have never relieved the trial which cost me £6.95 postage charges I assumed that they must have gone ahead and cancelled it for me. Then I checked my bank statement and realized that I had been charged £89.00 and £95.95 and finally received the sample product on 1 October then an email on 3 October confirming my account was cancelled. As my bank declined a payment they then took this using a sister company “Pure Detox” and “Detox Cleanse” so that the payment would go through. I am disputing this with by bank and have asked for a refund only to be told that I cannot be given a refund. Please do not use this company they need to be shut down!!!

  117. Hi Everyone caught up in this scam.

After ALOT of time spent tracking these people down, I finally managed the PROMISE (I use this term with good reason) in 5 – 7 working days of a 75% refund of my money charged to my credit card (minus the postage and handling). The way I did this was to ring the Customer Service line (In Australia 1800156877. You will of course need to check the Customer Service number in your country) and used a different telephone number, address and post/zip code as identification on the recorded messaging service. The call was then actually answered by a real person. After close to an hour of heated threats and arguments the person I was talking to offered me a 15% discount, then a 25%, then 35%, then 50% and finally a 75% refund on the amount charged to my credit card.

Just for information I signed up for a Trial on 14 November 2014. I received the product on 26 November and rang to cancel the product on 3 December 2014. (I suffered an adverse reaction to the tablets. You will all notice that there is no warning on the package). I was well within the 14 days and, well and truly within the one month trial period, yet they tried to argue on this point.

I did agree to accept the 75% rather than have to cancel my credit card as advised by my bank (especially in the lead up to Christmas), but made it quite clear that this information would be shared on line with other victims. I sincerely hope my money is refunded because I’d rather not go through what I did today.

I hope this information helps at least one of you.

Thank you all! I telephoned the company and they swear black and blue they are not affiliated with each other even though the return addresses are identical and the phone numbers are 0800 466119 and 0800466118 respectively! After I got very stroppy they came down from $89.95 NZ dollars to $7.59 to keep the product in lieu of returning it. I got them to send me this in writing via email and then I immediately rang my bank and cancelled my credit card. Shameful company!

  120. You must read the terms and conditions at the bottom of the home page. This is where it states that they will automatically charge you after a month ( and keep doing so) unless you contact them via phone or email to stop future payments. It also states there is no refund on shipping. These T & C’s are always put in small writing! You should also click on the highlighted sections to discover what the ‘studies’ found. It lead me to believe it was basically senna leaf which is a natural laxative. Perhaps they picked up a ‘study’ analysis from somewhere hoping to make
the product sound legit? Always read the fine print before buying. The old saying ” if it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is” may be applicable here?

  121. This is a total scam. The offer is a 28 day trial for about $10 (AU). It says there is no obligation, no further hidden costs, no cost to cancel. The t&c’s say in small print that if you do not call within 28 days, you will be agreeing to an ongoing supply at $80 per shipment. However, when you go to cancel within the 28 day trial period, the website says you need to pay $40 to cancel, if you do not choose this first option, it gives you a $20 option to cancel. There are no further options. The only other alternative is to return the product – at your postage cost (which is totally a hidden cost!) and for international postage with tracking, you are looking at about $40 postage costs. If you call customer service, they give you these same options, $40 to cancel, then $20 or a return number and 10 days to return the unused portion – at your cost. The customer service rep I spoke to hung up on me after I questioned her where in the t&c’s does it state that you need to return the unused trial at your own cost.

Billed for $200plus I was shocked a I had not received the product by then.
When I rang I spoke to a girl that told me I had
X amount of day to send the product back, even though I had still not received the products
She asked if I had read the agreement and I now have to start paying for the 2 products.
She said I could keep the two products Garcinia Basics and the cleanser If I agreed to pay half and there would be no more pill arriving. I still feel sick at the thought that I was trapped in a scam.

When I asked where they got my mobile no as far as I could make out they got it from a website where I bought a similar product earlier this year they also knew my name and email address. I eventually agreed to the 28 day “free” trial after being assured that I would only be charged roughly $10 (Australian) and at any time within the 28 days I could cancel and there would be no more pills sent to me and there would be no other hidden costs and there was nothing said about having to return any remaining pills at my own cost.I wasn’t even told about the vita cleanse they just added that themselves and the order confirmation came through at the same time but on separate order confirmations. This phone call took place on17th November and I was told it would take 7-10 days for delivery.Today 3rd December 16 days after order was placed I still had not receive the products so the phone calls to 1800156584 began. The first man I spoke to told me he would give me a 10 day extension on the trial and also gave me a tracking number and told me I could speak to my post office and check the progress of my delivery. I did this and Australia Post told me that this tracking number was not even in there system. I rang company again and this time got a woman who then tried to tell me it can take up to 21 days for international shipping that’s when I told her I wanted to cancel and all the costs started surfacing,$39.95 to cancel then I would have to return product at my own cost. That’s when the arguing began, she told me when I applied for trial it was in t&c about these costs and that I should of read them, I told her I didn’t apply that they rang me and wasn’t told about any t&c and was guaranteed there would be no extra costs. She basically called me a liar without actually using the word and she hung up on me. I then made a third call got all the same run around and costs and that was there policy etc etc not forgetting I still don’t even have the product but she told me I would definitely have it by 8th December because that was when the 21 days would be up and if I didnt receive it by then then I could cancel. In the end I got nowhere with this woman either because all they do is hide behind the t&c speech, I told her I wanted it cancelled and if a single cent was taken out of my account I would expose them to anyone who wanted to listen including television networks and surprise surprise she hung up on me as well. Just to be safe I rang my bank to confirm no money had been taken from my debit account then the bank cancelled my card immediately and will issue me with a new card and number. So far I have been one of the lucky ones but I swear I will never use one of these sites again. You live and learn.

Put the money back into my credit card account.I had to cancel my C C card,, but better than loosing more money. I can only praise my bank for looking into it so quickly. How can a company able to keep trading.

  135. I NEVER even ordered or signed up for any trial run or wut have you. I don’t evendors give a shit about being healthy, yet somehow these scammers who get to hide behind different international online laws, or at the very least know most people are honest and unsuspecting, somehow (vitacleanseinfa) managed to get my credit card info, and proceeded to bill my cc 39.99 for 3 months in a row now, even after I informed my card company after the first charge thst it was fraudulent. At this point I’m having the card number changed or wutever sure fire way my cc company will do that will 100% keep me from owing on something I not only haven’t EVER received but more importantly NEVER signed up for in first place. No trial crap, nothing. I have no interest in any health products so it is clear that they have been able to steal or somehow be attached to something well nuff to get my info. As matter fact, I can’t recall ever purchasing much of anything other than cigarettes , ice cream, alcohol or gasoline in the last 2 uears. And that was only once or twice as it is. I have as much interest in their product or wut it claims it will do as I have interest in losing money to scams I never fell for in the first place. It’s bit unfair to all who do faIL to read super small print but FUCK-N-A…it’s even worse when u never had an interest in the scammed product in the first place! I can’t bitch about that fact enuff! So I guess after all the complaints u read before getting to mine, hopefully it’s clear STAY AWAY FROM THESE WEASEL INTERNET FRAUDULENT NO CLASS BASICALLY THUG CRIMINAL PIECE OF SHITS…OK? And I suppose other thing is they may be sensing the end for them r sumthin and now they straight steal card info attached to other endevours…who hell knows, I doubt I will ever find out fer sure how they got mine. Especially to charge 3 months in row, which my cc company already was informed of but they use different vitamin name each time (only reason I ended up here was from googling vitacleanseinfa)last time it was fake co. Based in states, where I live. At least this time the chumps have sum sorta real product, tho u be legally insane and and a straight TARD to trust it and eat that shit. Just sayin…

  138. Same thing happened to me. I agreed to pay the nominal fee for postage of a trial offer. But their strategy is to get our credit card no. so they can hammer us for extortionate fees. They say that we should read the terms and conditions and we are given 14 days from order date to cancel or it rolls over to automatically debit our card. It took a week to arrive after my order…how can one week be ample time to check if the products work??? It’s clearly a scam. I appealed that I would never be interested to purchase such an expansive item as I’m jobless and can’t afford it. They refunded me less than I paid…then they charged me again. When I complained the second time and asked for another refund, they said their policy is to make only one refund. I threatened to report them to every consumer watchdog. This fraud happened to me in December 2016 and January 2017. There must be something that we can do. Everyone who feels they have been scammed should sign an online petition. They should be jailed.
