Apparently there is a new weight loss chip that when implanted into your arm can help you with your weight loss struggles.
This chip once implanted will constantly check your fat levels in your blood and when you eat too much a hormone will be released that will reduce your hunger.
When can you expect this weight loss chip to be available?
Although an early prototype has been used on mice, who lost weight and ate less fatty foods, it is still 5-10 years away from becoming a reality for humans.
It is believed that this device will be less expensive and less invasive than traditional weight loss surgeries, although only time will tell.
In the mean time while you wait for the release of this weight loss chip perhaps you could look into changing your current diet and exercise choices.
What to do to lose weight?
It is a shocking statistic to read, but less than 40% of all men and women in the UK are at a normal healthy weight.
If you are overweight you raise the risk of suffering numerous health issues such as heart disease, diabetes, stroke, infertility, depression along with various forms of cancer.
Therefore would it not make sense to try to lose a little of that excess weight before it is too late?
To lose weight successfully and to keep it off long term you need to look at what you are currently eating and the amount of exercise you perform daily.
For a start you need to cut back on those takeaways and the junk food that you currently eat. We all know that this food is fast and convenient, but it is certainly not healthy.
If you lead a busy lifestyle you could always prepare healthy meals and freeze them ready to be reheated and eaten at a later date.
Foods to eat include plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, along with lean protein sources such as chicken or turkey.
The reason for these protein rich foods is that the protein is slower to digest than both fats and carbs so will keep you feeling fuller for longer, with fewer urges to snack.
Water is also incredibly important for any weight loss attempt as it can help cut your appetite when consumed with your meals.
It can also be used to cut those food cravings between your meals too. Often you will mistake feelings of thirst for hunger so instead of reaching for your favourite snack food have a glass of water.
Finally, to lose weight effectively you will need to exercise, which I know some of you hate.
However, you do not need to be exercising for hour upon hour every day to reach your goals. Just 20 minutes of intense exercise 3-4 times a week can make a huge difference to your weight.
Just remember to stay dedicated and stick to your new healthier habits and you will soon start to see the results of your hard work.
